FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (4 Viewers)

Nugs, they usually have different bets

Some are regulation only and some are not. At least that's what I remember.

Ruds they didn't have anything about the totals in the wagering square. The only place it states this is in the rules-live betting extra is for regulation only (and I only found that when the livehelper gave me the linky).

It's feasible I overlooked something, i'll look again tonight during the Hawks game but that was the explanation I was given. Commercial bets on totals include OT, LBExtra does not.

BTW...WHATCHOO got tonight on ice bud?

First time Bosh has gone over on 1st Quarter points this series and 2nd time in the last two. At least he's obliterated it instead of squeaking over at the wire.

I'm on these tonight:

CHI +112

U5 -110
I know its no condolences, but I played Hawks in regulation +170 and no goal scored in first ten minutes. PP at 9 minutes made we sick in my stomach.
I was also on:

No goal in 1st 9:30

CHI to score 1st

CHI to win 1st period

CHI first to 3 goals

CHI over 2.5 goals

LAK under 2.5 goals

just a brutal 1st period all around. can't even believe that happened.

I do have Kings and Rangers futures though so it's not all bad here. Sorry for those who tailed tonight.

The best part of baseball is all the different types of research you can do. And no matter how much work you do, there is always something else you can find. And the season is constantly changing - there is so much to learn even on a day-to-day basis. Baseball is great. You can have action on a game basically every day if you want it. You don't want it to be easy.

And speaking of memorials, somewhere Lumpy is sitting with a smile on his face after finally hitting a Cubs wager on Samardzija. What a day to remember.

I had the Phils/Braves u24.5 @ -3,000,000
You picked a good time to retire bud. I'm pretty sure you would be joining some of us in selling yourself on the corner to pay Kurt because half of these ####### baseball players don't give a #### right now if they win or lose
I never really played bases hard even in my glory days. Baseball is a f'n graveyard. You lay way too much vig, then you're in chase mode for two weeks. You should join Team GooRoo. That's your best bet to kill time until pigskin.
Still good advice. I've been saying the same thing for 20+ years now -- baseball is a graveyard.

So, so tough to beat consistently. To the few of you who can, I tip my cap. Every new baseball season, I get excited and start betting more than I should. I wised up this year before I lost very much at all. Luckily, I just got bored with it. Early in the year I look at the board and see great bets. By late-May, I look at the board and say WTF do I play today??? Football is infinitely more enjoyable to bet on.

Masterson might be a good bet tomorrow. The Indians went 4-1 SU and scored 9,4,6,7,6 in their games versus Sale since 2013. Masterson is 8-0 L8 versus the White Sox.

Once sportsbook's Yes/No Hit, Run, RBI bets went away baseball has been a whole lot of work for very little, if any, profit. I'm doing more work but between totals and props this year I'm +0.13 after two really bad nights in a row. Seems pointless.

Any of you old enough to remember the 1992 NLCS? That's the series where Barry Bonds threw a 74-hopper to home plate which Sid Bream - one of the slowest people I've ever seen on a baseball field - managed to beat out.

Anyway, I was wrong on ALL... SEVEN... GAMES... of that series. It was uncanny. Oh-for-seven. And I was betting way, way more money than I could afford at the time. Wanted to cry.

Teams have averaged 106.8 ±12.8 points per game 1H in Thunder home playoff games. The Thunder by themselves averaged 53.1 ±7.1 points per game 1H. That's a wide range. However, Spurs road playoff games have averaged 102.8 ±10.2 points per game 1H - that is your current 1H total. The Spurs have averaged 52.8 ±4.1 points per game 1H away by themselves. But the book can't set that and also have the Thunder lined as the favorite to win the half.

I'm going with the more consistent Spurs to hit just below what is already their average 1H away points per game and score at least 51 1H points - something they have done successfully in 12 of their 15 playoff games (4 of 6 away). Plus you have the whole zig-zag theory of the Spurs bouncing back from the loss and coming out strong tonight.

Spurs 1H o50½ -110

It is the 3Q where the Spurs fall off and average about 23 points. Last game the O/U for the Spurs' 3Q was set at 26.5. They scored exactly their average and hit the under. If the 1H over hits and everyone gets all jacked up, the 3Q under will probably be a good play to make.

I think that Spurs average of 23 points 3Q is important. There is a parallel because they also averaged 23 points 3Q in their 15 road losses this season. But in their 32 road wins they averaged 26.5 points 3Q. The 26.5 is what the book lined them to score last game, but they only scored 23, and ultimately lost. I think if you back the Spurs tonight you hope they correct the 3Q issues. They are now 0-8 L8 at OKC.

Speak of the devil. I deposited a Bovada check yesterday (at the teller) and just received a call saying I need to fill out some form. Something about them having to go through collections with it being a foreign check. I've had no issues before.
Not sure if there are new bank regulations or what. I had a notification that my Sbet check was cancelled and they will be sending a money order at no extra charge ($80 option I believe).
Apparently pretty common with them right now. Their check processor and bank wire processor don't seem to be working so all payouts are currently by MO.
FWIW, got a letter in the mail on Saturday saying it would be processed this week

Mine took a week to process and cost me a $25 collection fee.

Meanwhile, my SB check request finally processed today after 3.5 weeks (requested on 5/1). I wish I could see 2 weeks like some of you guys.

I had no problems depositing my last 2 checks from Bovada, but I got a letter for both with a $6 foreign bank fee. Never had that charge before, so must be a new fee.

Blackhawks +550 to win the series. Great shot they take care of business in games 5 & 7 at home, so you're basically getting 6-1 on the chance they can sack up and win one in L.A.

I flirted with jumping on over 7.5 goals at +775 for 45 minutes tonight while at dinner before opting to play it safe and go over 1.5 goals 1p at 135.

hurray.

How yall doing with the books?
