i think slow draft is the way to go. we can always speed it up if we need to.

and i'll get Saw my paypal a little later too. i'm still shacked up at a hotel and using the public internet connection here is shady as hell. things pop up on my computer when i'm on line all the time. might have to give me some time when i get back to a normal life to send it over

 
The Braves are now 0-8 SU L8. They have a day off Thursday and a home game on Friday.

Since 2012 the Braves are 19-6 SU at home after a day off: 11-5 SU coming home from the road and 8-1 SU (7-0 SU since 2013) after a day off between two home games. The next time they have a day off between two home games will be Sep 19 at home versus the Mets. The line will be around -160, but it will be Friday. You will have the opportunity to build a two-team, cross-sport parlay with a big NCAA favorite. So mark your calendar.

hah yeah i've been there. it's nice when there is a reason to be up, and you get something done and you sleep then feeling like you accomplished something. So far tonight i have stumbled into that Big Brother spoiler thread again and just read 3 pages of it. I don't know why but i am absolutely enthralled by it. i caught the show for about 10 minutes today and it is quite possibly the worst thing on. I can't stand the fools on that show for more then 2 minutes and i just have to figure out what it is these guys are seeing that i am missing. :wolf: (was hoping there was a detective emoticon, so the wolf will have to do)

this hotel im in does not have many channels. I should be out of here in a week so plenty of time to catch up but you never realize how much you appreciate DVR until you don't have it. it's crazy. I do have NFl network though.

nah. we have been in contract for a new house for over a year and quarter. renting out my old house to 3 college girls :hifive: and they have screwed us on our settlement date countless times. we are supposed to finally settle on 8/14, but we have been in a hotel in the interim since July 10th. Been yucky. Living with your wife in a 1-room facility is good from time to time because if you can survive this you will appreciate having space and room again like nothing else

i got an email the other day that the washer was broken. So i head over after work, and see what the hell happened now (this would be fix #4 in less then a 3 weeks). Couldn't figure out what the hell it was, then i realized it was the electric. I looked around because i had no idea how they could trip a fuse like that, then i saw they had 2 hydroponic lights tucked in the corner of the room. If these chicks start growing the herb i am all about signing them to a long-term lease and cutting some deals with them. Might get interesting....

 
I am thinknig about buying that preseason package this year now that I have Chromecast. Watch it on the big TV. I think this is feasible, right? Bridgewater getting first-team reps tomorrow night seems entertaining. Especially after missing him on Gruden's QB Camp and the fact they subsequently removed the hour-long show from YouTube/the internet. There are probably some hidden gems in all these upcoming games, but my problem is not knowing which games to watch.

You can argue that Peavy is better during the day. Since 2013 he owns a 4.85 ERA at night versus a 3.52 ERA during the day. Peavy has a 2.54 ERA in 10 career starts versus the Brewers, but his team is only 0-3 SU in their actual games in Milwaukee. That sucks. Even so, Sandoval, Pagan, Belt,and Crawford are all batting over .400 versus Peralta, albeit in only a handful of AB's. But Pagan is back in the lineup tomorrow. HPU Alan Porter started the season 14-4 to the under, but has turned that trend around and has since gone 3-0 to the over L3 with 11,11,10 runs in his L3 games. I'm thinking Giants and over. In his only home start versus the Giants last season Peralta allowed 6 R (5 ER) in 4.0 IP.

I am guessing here which is dangerous. But Porter's L3 games have gone over the total by a combined 8 runs. Sometimes you will see them go on an over run after a crapload of unders, as if they were compensating. Will be on SF ML because of their day record and Pagan, but wanted to get these in now to get my fix. Like I said it's just a guess but I figured I would do it since it's plus-money. Cheers dudes.

If you guys are full, all good. Seemed like you were having trouble filling up. No need to expand to 14 on account of me. If someone drops out, let me know.

 
with a 14-team league, I think playoffs are pretty easy to set up

you play a 13-week season (one game against every other team). Then, top 2 teams get a bye and the 4 wild card spots play each other in week 14. Championship in week 16.

the only decision (IMO) is whether to have 2 7-team divisions and give the winner of each a bye, or just have a 14-team league and give a bye to the top-2 seeds.

I like this...will change the settings

I'll find a way to randomize draft order too...or do we want to do it a different way?

When do we want to start the draft? Monday?

monday sounds good. this will be a nice slow draft so we want to get it in before the season. not sure of others opinions but this makes sense to me

 
I was hoping to see the price on the total move in my favor. It's basically the same price as it was, just in the drop-down menu now instead of reduced juice. The Brewers are 9-3 SU and 9-3 O/U in Peralta's L12 starts since May 31. He has been getting a ton of run support. I hope it happens again today. Brewers run totals in his past 12 starts: 0,8,3,9,9,7,4,7,11,5,5,7. Peavy is pitching to a new catcher today. I don't know if that is good or bad. Just hanging my hat on the Giants' day record and Pagan leading off. Check it out, this chick works out at my gym: link

 
When you are looking at pre season your looking for strange angles. With that being said the Patriots have been known to sandbag preseason games in weeks when the team travels for a week long practice like they did this week with the redskins.

If Washington plays starters for a Q and NE sits most of them that's got to be a small play ?
