NFL Power Rankings from ESPN Insider:

s Rankings

16 (tie). Miami Dolphins (19.5)

The Dolphins were unable to build on their upset over the Patriots in Week 1 as they lost 24-10 at Buffalo as 1-point road dogs.

Previous rating: 20

19 (tie). Buffalo Bills (19)

The Bills continue climb with a 24-10 win over the Dolphins as 1-point favorites; they are one of only four teams at 2-0 SU and ATS.

Previous rating: 18
clear sign these people have no idea what they are doing.

Dolphins moved up 4 spots (from 20 to 16) and passed the Bills after a game in which they were completely dominated in just about all phases?

Also, how do you move from 18 to 19 and "continue to climb"? Are they climbing backwards?

GTFO
yeah, that ranking is just simply silly. I do not like the Browns at all, but having them tied for 26th is simply silly. they beat the Saints, and gave the Steelers a good run for their money.

But i guess that is the point of all those arbitrary rankings. Make them a little risque so that people talk about them and discuss your system

swirv, I must have missed it. In a nutshell, what constitutes a play in this system?
Total of 47 or less

Road team dog b/w 3-19

Road team avgs. more than 125 rushing/game

Can you see the win rate on this system from say week 2-6 vs 7-13? Essentially you're looking for "good rushing teams", and I absolutely hate the fact that a team can be labeled as a good rushing team with a 1, 2, 3+ game sample size. A passing team that has little interest in rushing can get up 40 points against Elon in week 1, carry the ball 50 times in the 2h, avg less than 3 ypc, and fall in the good rushing team category in this system. Makes me cringe.

I would assume you could if you were a betlabs customer, but it wasn't specified in the article. Totally get your point though.

Should we be playing these as soon as they are in all the criteria windows or what until Sunday morning to do so?
Supposed to be closing line so I'm going to wait. Last week Minny was 47.5 on Tuesday closed around 50 and they got smoked, plus that big of a jump made it a no play.. double plus that line went from +10 to +16

agreed would have liked to look at that too after week 1 cupcake match-up vs someone. Havent all of our dogs won straight up anyways?

Well I think real system is 1-0 and close plays is 3-0 total

The problem that I have with system plays is that I always get the feeling that somebody smarter than me has figured this out and the lines are adjusted accordingly. That, and there are always about a third to a half of all games on a given weekend go contrary to any logic whatsoever.

the nccaf has produced a whopping 1 real play in 3 weeks.

the west coast to east coast is low volume too but it really isnt a system its just stats

I'll throw a dart imo...

NFL teams that played their first two games on the road and then play at home in week 3 are 21-41-4 ATS (33.9%)

Since 2004: 6-16-2 (27.3%)

Since 2009: 3-11-1 (21.4%)

Jags, Pats, Saints fall into the above.
Interesting stat.
For God's sake don't act on anything I post. I'm posting for education on sportsdb technique, maybe I'll learn something over time.
:lmao: Lmao:

The climb refers to the power rating (18 to 19), not their rankings.

A game is just a one-time sample. Denver wasn't rated 40 points lower than Seattle last year either. I think the numbers are figured out before the season and adjusted a bit from week to week.

who else are we following gambling wise on twitter?
You could follow me while I follow someone else. It'll be lemmingtastic.

Why are Girardi's panties all in a bunch? Funny to read the Red Sox, Yanks and Rays fans ##### about each other while Buck brings his team to the playoffs. I guess at least Tampa doesn't have a 175MM+ payroll to pay while watching the October games.

Jameis may miss some of Clemson game. 20 PTS is a lot -Winston imo
Yeah it's OTB...few places I see it up are at 17
That escalated quickly. Left for the gym and the line was on the board and the discussion was just the warchant writer. Leave the gym and Winston's name is mixed w Peterson on espns coverage of "everything except sports" and the line is otb. The downside of rooting for college sports is your depending on the decisions of kids.

So far it's 5-0 in the Rox/Dodgers game...2 outs in the 1st and both outs were on the basepaths.
9 hits in the 1st..SO FAR.

Wow...Morneau had 5 RBI's alone!
I thought that was really impressive....then I read about fernando tatis

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Major_League_Baseball_leaders_in_RBI_in_one_inning

2 grand slams in one inning, crazy
I actually remember that now. Yes it is crazy!

JACKPOT

Just stumbled across some baseball props I haven't seen in years

Will player x get an RBI

Will player x get an extra base hit
