FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (2 Viewers)

ahhhhh, foreigners discussing cheese steaks in Philly.........

Pats and Geno's are good if it's after 2 AM. real good then actually

I wanted to bet all the unders on all the tackle props, but I thought they set the lines too low on a couple guys and tried to get cute by taking a couple overs.

Unders went 5-0

Panthers free safety wound up with 8 tackles while their strong safety has 2. Oh well. Still went 3-2 with both Panthers LBs staying barely under.

Pretty good night thanks to swirve. :hifive:

i'd really like one of those tickets before i die
Do you play em? Can't win the lotto without playing it either. I piss away more than my fair share trying though. Have hit some nice ones over the years (8 teamer, 10 teamer), but overall a loser on these I would say. Its still nice to have a chance!!! Just keep it in check and give yourself a crack at a nice payday. Same with the horses imo. Gotta throw in some long odds to have a chance at nice paydays. When you hit, it is exhilarating.

Remember English Sports Betting in the early days of internet gambling? I hit them for a $10k teaser win. I forget how many teams. Had to be somewhere between 10 and 12. I remember the last leg was a Redskins/Colts Sunday or Monday night game when Jeff George was Indy's QB. I forget the exact details, but it was a major sweat. Only a goal line stand saved me, IIRC. I'm gonna have to look it up.
This was the one... 1993.

It had to have been a phone bet, because I didn't have a computer until the following year. I seem to remember having the Colts +11, and Washington was driving for a late TD and either turned the ball over or got stuffed. Hard to recall.... it was a lifetime ago. I just remember it almost giving me a heart attack.

It really is true that you remember the details of your bad beats way more than your great wins.
Phone bets were the norm back then. Hi, this is 459, whats the number on Latcech vs. Lamonroe? I'll take Latech -7. Always to a person who could barely speak english.....lol.

Hate to go against my guys, but Packers -4.5 at Lambeau looks like a multi-unit potential bet with Ryans out on defense. Cam and the Panthers did a bad job of showing what this Eagles team would look like post-mortem of Ryans' season-ending injury. I see Rodgers having a huge day on the Eagles secondary, and Sanchez just trying to keep up. At that point, I'd back the Packers potentially big.

Can't disagree MQ. Cary Williams covering Jordy Nelson?! Yea good luck with that. Can't wait to bet the Nelson overs.

I was expecting a 2-score spread somewhere in the neighborhood of -7.5 or 8 where the books want you to Wong the Packers down with something else. I think this is a reaction to MNF spread, and I'll take it straight up.

Already up to 6.5 at SB. I'll gladly take Philly at 7.5-8.5 and get GB into teasers. Sign me up.

Had to be money coming in on the eagles yesterday/last night. The BS report/Cousin Sal podcast had the line at 6 from Monday morning. I might jump at the 4.5 before it disappears forever.

Up to 5.5 already at my local, glad I punched it in when I posted earlier.

Ever been to a Nevada sports book and just stared at the odds board? Of course not — you have better things to do, such as attend pool parties.Well, should you pay attention to that brightly colored board, you may see the odds move on a game or two, maybe a line or a total changing by a half-point or so.

So what causes odds to change? Well, any number of things. Sometimes, though, it’s the simplest answer — a big bet.

This brings us to the case of the Cleveland Browns’ Super Bowl odds at the MGM Resorts International sports books in Nevada. Cleveland, once 200-to-1 to win the title, is now 30-to-1 at the MGM books, according to David Purdum of BettingTalk.com.

MGM oddsmaker Jay Rood told Betting Talk that a “four figure” wager on the Browns last week caused MGM to slash its odds from 100-to-1 all way down to 30-to-1. Also, Rood indicated to Betting Talk that wagering on the Browns had picked up since the draft, when the Browns made a major splash by selecting quarterback Johnny Manziel No. 22 overall.

It’s important to note that future book odds — especially with long shots like Cleveland — can be more a reflection of the sports book’s potential liability on the team than anything else. In the end, oddsmakers have to adjust prices to manage risk. And not every Las Vegas sports book has the Browns that low of a price, as Betting Talk notes.

Nevertheless, it’s fascinating to think that somewhere out there, someone is holding a Browns ticket that will pay six figures if Cleveland wins its all.

Believeland, indeed.
I wish this dummy would have taken me out for beer, lobster and strippers instead of flushing that cash.

There's still time!!!

The Patriots L11 #SNF games have gone over the total. They are 11-0 O/U on #SNF since 2009. In eight of those 11 games the line for the Patriots was ≥ 0. They went 6-2 SU and 8-0 ATS (avg line 2.2), and averaged 36 ±5 points per game in those eight games. Both losses were by one point each.

I haven't played any in years. I must have hit a dozen or more when sportsbook had the parlay special of picking 5 NFL and 5 CFB games and having the 10 grand payday (i can't remember what the deal was, long time ago). I actually had a 10 or 12 team one in Vegas I almost hit but i missed it because of a blocked field goal. Man i wish I remembered what game that was, that one was fun too

Please tell me someone heard Desmond telling the QB that he needs to rub them balls down followed by the other guy saying that's not what you were saying when you came back up.

Where's frosty with my NBA ####?
Lowry o 17.5p

Gasol o 11.5r+a

Ibaka o 10.5r+b

Chandler o 10p

Gay o 30.5p+r+a

Duncan u 25.5p+r

Thompson u 26.5p+r+a
Frosty I only have Duncan 16.5 pts and 10.5 rbs. Unders on both?
I like rebs more, but would play both.
Is he gonna play?
Everything I see says questionable. In either case we're taking the under because when the game starts we're already winning.
