FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (4 Viewers)

Ugh, the wrong team is putting up yards and points. This could turn out to be a disaster for me.
yeah i think i tailed a lot of what you are on. College Football = muy mal. it's funny because i avoided it all year because i never seem to come out on top with it, and yet i have played almost all of the bowl games.
It's been rough buddy. I think I'm done after tonight. Just going to email Kurt, pay the debt, and move on. I was a lot happier without gambling. It's 8 pm on NYE and I'm pissy.

MissST PK / Bama -3 - 1u

It's not news that Miss state has had a month to prep for triple option Attack.... Johnson hasn't the best bowl record.... Thomas will have to kill it tonight for tech for state to lose. Could certainly happen... Not sure it will.

One more Boise touchdown here and you'll be set good buddy. We do need Solomon to go away though. :)
Thanks man, but I'm going lose all plays on this game but my two smallest plays (Boise +3 and Ajayi). I made two stupid halftime bets.
Sorry dude. You KNOW I can relate to the frustration. I guess I can bounce back because I bet so small. Even a really bad game doesn't cost me much. And if I can hang around even money and get some extra entertainment out of it it's worth it for me. Hope you'll hang around though. You make this thread a better place to be.

Any good reason why Oregon and FSU shouldn't go over 72? The Ducks should be able to do whatever they damn well please on offense, which means Jameis & Co. will have to keep pace, which they are more than capable of doing.
I've really racked my brain on this. I think for FSU to have a shot to win they need to keep Oregon into the low 40s. FSU will try to limit possessions...but even if Oregon got 12 drives with 5 TD, 3 FG and 4 punts that's still 44 points. Think FSU will score 28 or less?
Nope.
Down to 71.5 ... :oldunsure:

I swear, I read every single situation incorrectly. This was gonna be my biggest play of the bowl season by a mile, but now I'm concerned.
This isn't really true. You're pretty good with totals. I'm in for a unit.

Thanks man, I really appreciate your kind words and right back at you. Yes, I'm down about $500 at RB. It isn't about the money because I'm blessed enough to afford that loss. It's about the disgusting amount of time I spend doing this. I've been on my phone from sun up to sun down the last few days. I went from -$400 to -$64 to -$470 to -$190 to -$450 in the last week and it just frustrates me. I love the guys in this thread and that sucks me back in. Unfortunately it also gets me back into gambling. I was a constant gambler for 3+ years and finally kicked the habit for almost a year and a half. It was the right move and made me a helluva lot happier. I just don't have the demeanor for it. I'm too competitive and get too down on myself. I'm used to succeeding when I work hard at something but I consistently fail at gambling. My addictive personality doesn't help. Anyway, sorry for that dump. I'm pretty sure I annoy the #### out of most people in this thread with my constant whining and the fact that I'm a major head case when it comes to gambling, but the reality is I have fun reading the conversations and have gotten to know a lot of the guys. I just wish I didn't suck so bad so I could contribute something.

Where did you see 72? Both Bookmaker and Pinnacle opened up at 71. BM is at 71.5 and Pinnacle is still at 71. If those drop, then I would be concerned.

Bulldogs look like they spent 25 of the 30 prep days drinking instead of prepping for tech's triple option Attack

Added 1/2u tech +1.5 live

Had the kids in the grocery store with me yesterday getting a few things for New Years Day. We do an appetizer party at a friends house, kids and all

So I was telling him we needed this stuff so we could go see his friends for a full day of drinking and gambling...some lady overheard me and gave me a dirty look

One of my favorite days of the year though...a new appetizer every hour, tons of booze (wife only has a glass or two of wine and drives my drunk ### home), football squares, poker, left right center and whatever other dumb stuff I can bet on

I stopped gambling for a few months after the niners ravens super bowl and realized I was a much better person for it. Was a better father, better worker, better husband etc.....now I play small stakes and when football is over I'll take the spring/summer off and start again next fall.

I suspect there might have been two dumb teams tonight.
i would like to put Oklahoma in this category too. soooo close
They covered.
oh, nice. i must have joined in late because i had -18.5
Me too. I haven't seen a team and coaching staff look that disinterested for a long time. Didn't help that Heald sat most of the second half. Oh well, get the next one.

Eh...you're a good chit either way lumpy - you should know that.

It's easier for the non-married, non-child having guys to suck you back into it. Don't let us. Were I married or had children, I'm sure I'd feel the same way.

I have a Boise/MSU m/l parlay going and really wanted some straight MSU at half (because I missed the start of the game and didn't get down). F'ing time zones are all out of whack on my account and sometimes I drink.

Anyway, really wanted more MSU at half, but now not so much.

I missed the first quarter +, too, but it feels like MSU to me from here on out. No? What's the call here???

Ga Tech wins su IMO

Working hard at something <> tailing dudes on every single college bowl game, imo. I think blindly tailing causes you to lose what you never had in the first place, like I tried to tell FC42 back on November 19 at 10:35PM, because you don't know the reasons why you are risking your money. I mentioned to FC42 how I used to tail dudes, and since I stopped tailing dudes I found that bankroll management is easier since you don't chase plays as much. It makes me more emotional if I lose a bet when I had no idea why I was making it in the first place, and how are you supposed to know how much to risk and what strategy to use if you are just tailing, laying points, and paying high juice? Especially at a book like RB.

Anyone got a lock NFL teaser for this weekend? Just looking for a 2-teamer.

CAR -0.5 is calling me for the first leg. I think the Cards are shot. CIN +10.5 would have been nice but I missed the window there. Indy is down to -3.5.

Saw we got to focus on the UFC card this weekend. I love hearing what you come up with.

I just read a "Philo" post in some dude's sig in RN's thread about space heaters, did that dude really draft Martavis Bryant back in 2009? If so that is freaking bizarre. Also, RN, I agree with one of those dudes about being careful about letting parts of your house getting too cold, because the water pipes can freeze up pretty quick sometimes. I used to live down in a valley with my old man, it was just the two of us and we were pretty frugal, but that's why we ran the central heat, to keep the pipes warm. It got pretty cold down there.

I would turn the heat on for a couple of minutes every day just to keep it operational.

I like the idea of a space heater though. Something about batching it, saving money, and keeping warm at the same time. The ionizer on that thing sounds cool, too. I had a HVAC dude come to the house the other day just to look things over, and he got to talking about how he recently installed a UV-C bulb in the duct work of his home. The UV bulb stays on 24/7 (as much energy as a 25-watt bulb) and it destroys the microbes in your air as the air circulates through. I got one that was 99 bucks on Amazon and it gets here Friday. A total DIY deal that anyone can do. My house is like 900 sqft and it gets kind of "dirty sock" in here with my pup, even with the cleaning ladies coming every Friday.

What's the line on the main event? I keep coming back to Cormier has the hands to end jones.
I'm drunk and out but I'm going jones for quite a bit. I'll explain some other time, and i see how Cormier can take it 1 or 2 ways, but jones is without a doubt the play

As for Cormier hands, can't disagree more. Guy might be one of the slowest strikers in the Lhw division. Haven't seen his power with the weight drop yet and jones can probably land 3 jabs before Cormier gets close to landing anything. But the power is the 1 possible way I could see him take it, but jones chin has looked ok so far

First shot at a DraftKings MMA team for tomorrow, just going off betting lines and trying to look for early stoppages:

Lombard

Cannonier

Tavares
Jordan

Garbrandt
