FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (8 Viewers)

:towelwave:

Hi tonydead,

This is a quick message in regards to the bet on the Gatorade color that was dumped on the Head Coach of the winning team yesterday.

Since every year this tradition is done only once, we paid winning bets with the very first gatorade color that was dumped, which was the Orange one. However, a few minutes later, yellow Gatorade was used for this same purpose.

As a token of appreciation for your patronage, we will honor your bet on "Yellow" (Bet ID 433733600) which is now showing as a winning wager in your account.

Kindest regards,The Wagering Team.
Gatorade color a little more tricky this year. NE is clear, but, SEA has different flavors.
At least that's something, though. Clear at a good dog price should show some profit.

Nothing.... NOTHING in sports pisses me off more than missed free throws. A guy fumbles because a defender made a great strip? I can live with it. A batter strikes out on a nasty slider? Fine. A goalie gives one up on a beautiful wrist shot? What can you do...

But a free throw is a FREE SHOT. There is nobody guarding you. Make the damn shot!!!

Chain posted a record before Suns total > 210 or 212 was undefeated this year (think they went under once vs Clev since then) but I can't find his post
Played the o215.5. Final score, 115-100.

17 missed FTs. Good times.

ETA: not putting this on you, tj. Just venting. I made the bet whether it won or lost.

Tuesday Pucks:

Sens (+170) at Rangers- Rangers 15-3 in their last 18, but only 3-2 in their last 5 and were shutout in consecutive games vs. Isles and Bruins before bouncing back with wins over the Jackets and Pens. Sens actually in pretty decent form right now, but the results aren't showing it. The line is entirely too rich for the Rangers here, but I don't have a lot of interest in playing against them at home. Sens would be the side if you had to have one in this game, but I'll stay away. Under 5 1/2 looks good as both Anderson and King Henrik should be in net, but can't lay the -140 to play it. A Rangers under TT might be worth a look tomorrow, otherwise PASS.

Oil (+204) at Caps- Similar to Sens/NYR game. Caps playing really well as of late, hard to go against them, but there is value on Edmonton here. I've been saying it for a little over a week, Oilers are showing signs. They are 4-6 in their last 10, which doesn't sound overly impressive, but when you are coming off of a 2-22 stretch, it's a start. Also, those 4 wins have come against the Kings, Hawks, Isles and at the Panthers. Not exactly chopped liver. Also, Oilers won earlier meeting with Caps. I have no interest in going against Washington at home, but the value is on the visitors here. If the TT is 3.5 for the Caps and the line is decent, an UNDER TT for the Caps might be worth a look. Otherwise, PASS.

Preds at Habs (NL)- Lot of if's in this game. You can't really look at any long term recent results, especially for the Preds. Rinne is out and Hutton will most likely be in net. Preds were able to beat the Caps at home the first game without Rinne, but got clobbered at Detroit the 2nd game. Neither result surprised me. Hutton gave up 3.5 goals in those 2 games. Carey Price missed the last 2 games for Montreal and Tokarski was not impressive in his last 2, giving up 4 goals in each. Habs are only 2-3 their last 5 but losses to TB, Pitt and at OTT isn't anything to be ashamed of. It sounds like Price will be back in net, he practiced today, and IF he is, I'll look to see if I can get any value on MON -1 1/2. If it's both backup goalies, a look at the OVER, depending on the price is in order.

STATUS-WAIT

Wild at Wings (-200)- Wild coming off home loss to Jackets last night (YES!!!) and now travel to face the Wings in Detroit. Wild are 2-3 in last 5 but when your wins are against the Sabres and Yotes, I'm not impressed. I'm assuming Backstrom or Kuemper will be back in goal since Dubnyk went last night. If so, auto over comes in to play. Wings are playing strong hockey right now and haven't skipped a beat since Jimmy Howard went down. I can't play the Wings at -200 so I'll look to put them in a parlay with someone.

Nucks (+160) at Bolts (-180)-Is Ryan Miller going to be in net for the Nucks? That is the question. Miller has given up 3 goals in his last 5 starts and with the All-Star break coming up, it's entirely possible the Nucks run him back out there for the 3rd time in 4 days. I like the Bolts here regardless, Nucks have been very good on the first 4 of this 5 game road trip, going 3-1, but as I mentioned, this is their 3rd in 4 days and a major step up in competition from their 3 wins over Philly, Carolina and Florida. I'll look to put the Bolts in a parlay somewhere. IF Miller is in net, a look at the under may be in order.

Pens (-160) at Flyers (+140)-Another game where we need to see who's in goal. Since Mason went down, Flyers are 0-3 when Emery starts and Emery is giving up nearly 5 goals a game. They are 2-1 when Zepp starts with Zepp giving up just over 2 goals a game. Yet Emery is their alleged starting goalie. Color me confused. I don't think the Pens should be -160 on the road to anybody right now outside of maybe Buffalo, so IF Zepp starts, there's a little value on Philadelphia here, and if that line got above +150 I'd probably look at them as a live dog. STATUS-WAIT

Bruins (-105) at Stars- Bruins finally turning it on and there's value here at essentially even money, but Stars are a dangerous team and I don't have a lot of motivation to go against them at home. Stars had impressive win in Chicago Sunday on 2nd night of a back to back, where they've not been good at all this year. Lehtonin has really struggled as of late, but Stars score a lot of goals. The numbers call for a slight under EDGE here but my gut thinks a look at the over is in order. Over 5 1/2 is EVEN money right now. Total is all that interests me here.

Yotes at Hawks (-320)- Line is laughable. Hawks shouldn't be -320 against anyone right now, including Buffalo. Yotes are terrible. Just saw a graphic in the Flames/Kings game highlighting the race for one of the top 2 picks in this upcoming draft, which is where all the losing teams want to be this year. Sabres and Oilers of course leading the race and they showed Canes 3rd. Actually Yotes are tied with Canes for 3rd, somehow, they missed that, and with how the Oilers are playing and Staal being back for the Canes, I wouldn't be surprised if the Yotes end up with the 2nd pick. And they need it. 3rd in 4 nights for Arizona, there's just no way to play this game. Hawks are starting Raanta which is smart. Crow needs to clear his head. If Crow was in net I'd recommend a look at the over 5 1/2, but as it is, I'll PASS. And watch. Hawks need to turn things around quick if they hope to make a post-season run.

gussy, the Sens have beaten the Rangers 7 straight at MSG in the regular season if you can believe it.

I'm playing a donk Wings/Hawks/Caps parlay. Nothing too crazy.

FINALLY a winning night. Hit all 3 of the Dogs and the Parlay. Maybe we can turn this thing around after the break here. NEEDED THAT.

Ouch, I just got home and looked at the play by play - that is a rough end to the game.

Anyone know if those sportsbooks in New Jersey are up and running or did they hit a legal snag? Thinking of making a roadie to place a bunch of SB bets.

LSU +9.5 (I know we don't bet LSU, but too many points)

Kansas State +10.5

Nebraska -3
I had Auburn +14 a few nights ago against Florida - woke up and the sharpers had moved Florida to -15.5 during the night. I got a bad feeling that might happen to this LSU line because I agree it seems far too inflated.

No but it's not. Comes up in fantasy from time to time...thrower and reciever get credit for the td, not the special teams
It's definitely a special teams td.....I don't care how it's scored in fantasy....fg unit is part of special teams.
Once they kick the ball it's a special teams play...if they run any other play its just the offense running a play out of a strange formation

I was pretty confident in my answer last night but now you have me questioning myself. :oldunsure:

Pro sports filed an injunction successfully in November. Tied up in the courts.
Grab a snickers, gonna be a while. :kicksrock:
When that day comes, there's no way it's not a :cornhole: during football season.

Christie tried his best but the leagues wasted no time filing an injunction after the last go-round where Christie gave the green light to casino's to get started.

Total bummer. :kicksrock:

gussy Pens/Flyers: The line is that number because the Flyers lost another dman, maybe 2 yesterday, and have recalled 2 kids from the AHL to step in tonight. One will be a game time decision. They(defense) are in shambles right now. Emery isn't considered their starter. Coach has more confidence in Zepp and will get more playing time than Emery who has been brutal, in fact I believe Zepp was pulled yesterday so he can start again tonight. The Flyers were boat raced yesterday so it wasn't all Zepp. Even if Emery isn't in, I have no problem taking the Pens 60min line, may even throw -1.5 in a parlay. Had both Isles sides yesterday as well. Don't mess with playing the Flyers tonight no matter the number.

An AC cornhole would be epic, too bad I might be using a walker by the time it happens. And didn't they even scale it back to just parlay cards like delaware? Pretty sure a full book is off the table. :sadbanana:

Yeah, I get it. 100% disagree and find it stupid that LV is the only legal sportsbook game in town, but I understand why: :moneybag: and good lobbying, I'd suspect.

Florida -11 at all the major books this morning. Don't like that at all.
Not a fan.

Emery starting for the Flyers!!! Get it in

Pitt 60min EV

Pitt O3.5 +125m

Throwing Pitt -1.5 +165 in a parlay later on.
haven't the Flyers won like 5 straight against them?

Penguins starting Greiss also. Not sure if that's good or bad.

Wings/Bolts +133
Added Habs -1 1/2 (-204) Price in net for Montreal

I'm on Nebraska -3 1/2 btw. Gophers like to press, Nebraska has had pretty good success against pressing teams and has gotten better at breaking the press as the season goes along. Gophers struggle with physical teams. Nebraska has their two big bodies back and Old Testament is nothing if not physical. GBR.

Flyers own them in Pitt, Pens have won 4 of last 6 in Philly. And Philly is decimated with D injuries. Plus Ray Emery.
taking a shot here.

PIT -1.5 (+185)

PIT/PHI O5.5 (-125)

PIT to win in regulation (+100)

PIT/PHI 1st period O1.5 (-125)

Gophers have been junk on the road this year in conference play. No shame in the Maryland loss, but the other two identify pretty much what kind of team they are. Good at home and ok on the road against so-so teams. Nebraska IMO is a little better than so-so, and they are starting to get a few games under their belts with a full allotment of players. Huskers continue to gel and win by 5-10 pts.
