FFOC $1,000,000 (1 Viewer)

Only 1 of my 7 leagues is off to a 4-0 start but it's 5th OA.

QB-McNabb Cutler Kitna Griese

RB-Wbrook MJD J Stewart

WR TO Boldin Chambers S Moss

It's very early but it's nice to hit the big board early even if just for a sniff.

The regular season is over half over...anyone have a contender. We're sitting at 8-2 with a two-game league, but it's down around 350 overall. Cinci moving to a week 10 bye will hurt since we have Housh.

Any thoughts on the league in general? They seem to be catching up on the technology (better live scoring), but the FA issue last week was quite annoying.

all my teams suck...having the first pick in 2 of the 3 drafts and taking LT has really killed me, but its not like anyone else slated that hight in the draft has done anything either. Oh well. I would like to see a different scoring system...perhaps with some PPR involved.

Four Teams: 9-1 (First Place), 8-2 (Second Place), 7-3 (Third Place), and 4-6 (?who cares)At the moment I believe I have three teams who are competitive and have a chance to at least win each of their leagues. I have enjoyed the league and think it is amazing that you have a chance at winning a million dollars with odds around 1:6660. GL to all.

8-2

6-4

5-5

Overall, this is about what I expected: very difficult to make a profit unless you hit it big.

QB play has been key, with Cutler and Rodgers being key pieces to my teams. I have Schaub in all 3 and I'm hoping he comes on strong with the easy schedule and a return to health.

7-3 (3 way tie for 1st)

9-1 (1st place)

8-2 (2 way tie for 1st)

7-3 (2nd place..1 game out)

Have Rodgers, Slaton and De Jackson in all 4 leagues...all picked after

the 10th round.....Diamonds in the rough...we'll see how it plays out.

My only team that is really rolling is at 10-0 with Cutler, Warner, Barber, Turner, Ronnie Brown and Jennings carrying the load. So far the points have been steady. Will know more around week 8 how things will shape up as two losses with low points can swing ya down fast.

My July team is at 4-6 but did score 143.52 this week and is 2817 overall. My August team is 9-1 and is 775 overall.

July team had Brady so trying to overcome that. :lmao:

1 team, 8-2, 700 something OA.

Team is alright...needs another RB to really be a contender. Scheffler's injury is going to hurt a bit

Peterson, Slaton, T.Jones, Edge, C.Taylor

Fitzgerald, S.Smith, A.Johnson, Bryant, Curtis

Scheffler (yikes)

Longwell

Vikings, Panthers

From Worst to best

3-7 - Tomlinson, AJ, Braylon

4-6 - auto drafted. LJ

6-4 - Lost Brady, lost last week by 0.52 pts on Brees' int.

6-4

6-4

9-1 - rank 207. Rodgers, Anquan and Westbrook have injury issues, but the team is looking good right now.

David D.....any luck with your 3 team package going into the final week ?

Good Luck this week to all with Vegas asspirations.... :jawdrop:

Playing for a spot in the week 10 final this week. I'm in second one game behind the team in first (played him last week and he lost two games) but only 1 game up on the third place team, so it's tight.

I have Frank Gore on bye and Larry Johnson still screwing up, so it won't be easy. Definately could use a little luck.

Starting Eli Manning and Pennington as my flex, need some fantasy luck.

Three teams split with my brother..

14-2 1st next team at 9-7 59th overall

12-4 1st next team at 10-6 1540th

5-11 8th:bye:....the first place team in this division has been the highest scorer in the whole deal and slipped to second last week. Wizards of Uz...nice team.

I think the FFOC is fantastic. We have had a ball with it because our normal leagues are real TD heavy and lower scoring. I wish there was a league message board or at least a list where you could email the other members of your league...that would be nice. The next weeks are going to be very interesting with no transactions. Injuries are going to play a huge role in the playoffs.

Update...14-2, 200 something OA. Championship matchups is already decided, looks promising given the number of Cowboys and Skins on his roster. GL all.

Listen to this lineup I'm playing today:QB:FarveRB: WestbrookRB: TurnerWR: MarshallWr: Andre JohnsonWR: Marvin HarrisonTE: OlsenD: ChicagoFlex: SchaubThis team is stacked and they are 7-9...and guess what, he has freaken Drew Brees on bye. I don't get it, how this team could be under .500.My lineup is:QB Eli ManningRB: Kevin FaulkRB: Brandon JacobsWR:jenningsWr: boweWR:Lavernous ColesD: TennesseeK: CarneyTE: FassanoFlex: PenningtonI don't have to beat him, just finish in the top 5 to get one win out of 2. The top team has a couple guys on bye next week and I get Gore back if indeed I can get 1 win today.

Need 1 win to lock up 2nd place and LCG matchup. It's killing me that the 3rd and 4th place teams are playing people that have already given up. This is what I was worried about all year. 4th place team (both 3rd and 4th place teams are only 1 game behind me) is playing a guy that has 4 bye week players in his line up. Figures.

I ended up beating this guy pretty good......his team did about as bad as you could hope for. Marshall doing nothing, Shcaub getting hurt, Westbrook not doing much, Farve not throwing a single TD, Andre Johnson doing about average, Turner and Harrison doing very little......amazing.Anyway, in the final week 10.I didn't draft a single player with a bye week 10 hoping to sneak into the 2nd spot and then upsetting the top team. The first part of that sentence happened and now next week I need the second half of the sentence to come thru.At worst, I've gotten my money back with a free entry next year at a million dollars, as I wouldn't pass up a shot to win a million dollars for playing fantasy football. There's a lot of dead money in these leagues. Whether it's some people have too many leagues to keep up with (I just played 1) or once they get beat a couple games they don't care too much but an owner who has a solid draft, does your waiver wire homework and fills in the byes has pretty good chance of finishing top 2 in a ten team league.

6 teams.

Team 1- Started out 1-7 with LT and Braylon sucking, AJs sudden week 2 bye hurt as I had Steve Smith and had to start my 5th WR and now my team will finish up 10-8 and in 4th place. Its a hell of a strong team going into the losers bracket though, Rodgers, DA, Delhomme at Q, Brandon Jacobs and LT at RB, AJ, Roddy white, Steve Smith and Braylon at WR.

Team 2- Finished in 1st started the week in 177th OA (will play another team in the top 200 for championship). Deep at RB and WR with Jacobs, Westbrook and Ronnie Brown and Fitz, Boldin, AJ and Santonio at WR. Ravens and Titans D. Missing Chris Cooley for next week though.

Teams 3, 4 and 5 are all 8-8 going into this week and have little to offer.

Team 6 lost tom brady but is looking good for the #2 spot as long as Mewelde Moore and Heath miler don't total 40 pts.

I only bought one team, finished 12-6 in first place after this week.

I will be playing for the league championship next week against the 2nd place team. I can at least get my money back but I would like that 250 bucks.

I really enjoyed playing in this league, very competitive ( most teams were 9-7 or 8-8 going into the final week, only one team had a losing record I believe he was 3-13).

Wish me luck next week.

Locked into the Championship Game, at second place at 14-2 heading into this week (good for 66th overall). There's a 16-0 team in my league (Googleman).

My brother in law and I (we shared this team) pretty much had a feeling it would come down to us and Googleman before the season, and that's exactly what we hoped for too since he has Romo, MBIII, Santana Moss, and Earnest Graham. He has a decent supporting cast but we should still hopefully pull it out.

Agree with everyone, this was a lot of fun and I can't imagine how big it will be next year once that million is paid out. Oh well, at the very least, we play for free next year.

Ended up 99th overall. Looking forward to this weekend.

Wow, i snuck into my LCG. I won week 9 by 5 pts and the guy i was tied with (in 2nd place) lost by 3 pts. So, i'm in the champ game, albeit with an injured team and going against the top scoring team in the league. But hey, at least i am there. Roy Williams getting traded to DAL really screwed up my wk 10 plan.

Ranked 707 in championship game (13-5). I'll be satisfied with just winning my money back so wish me goodluck. I have pretty good matchups (ex. LT vs KC) so I think I have a good chance at winning. We'll see...I wish I wouldve signed Kurt Warner when he was on waivers though  hahah

I didn't fare too well with my one team. Tied for sixth place at 8-10 despite having the third highest point total.

The good news is that I have a fairly high performing team for the loser's bracket. The bad news is that I lost three of my four QBs this week due to injury or replacement (Schaub, Orton, Anderson), so I'll need to rely on Favre and a RB/WR for my flex spot. Just my luck, I lose three QBs the week they closed the free agent adds.

how can you tell if you're in championship game? My standings say I;m in 2nd place in my league, but my next opponent is blank, no team listed. is that how everyone who qualified sees it as well?

 Just realized I have no kicker this week. (M. Bryant)
Ouch......I brought two along just in case one gets hurt since we can't pick up anyone after week 9. I don't think I'd ever sleep again if I lost a million dollars due to the fact I didn't have a kicker on my squad.Finished 2nd at 13-5......it'll be a coin flip on paper versus the team that finished first as he has a couple more players on bye than I do.I don't want to finish 2nd......I want 250 and then some!

got no TE this week. My first year in this thing, signed up last minute, didn't realize ww locks up after week 9. Oh wells, lets see how it plays out. Cooley has been a steady contributer, but not like he's averaging a td a game or anything...

At the end of nine weeks, each team will have 18 games attributed to its record. The top two teams will play in a head-to-head match-up to determine which team goes onto the Las Vegas Bracket. The team moving onto the Las Vegas Bracket will receive $250, while the losing team will receive a free entry into the 2009 FFOC. The 2nd place through 4th place teams in each league will enter the 1st & Goal Bracket, in which the winner of the bracket following Week 16 will receive $10,000. The 5th place through 10th place teams in each league will enter the Red Zone Bracket, in which the winner of the bracket will receive $6,000.
