Regression to the mean is the statistical phenomenon stating that the greater the deviation of a random variate from its mean, the greater the probability that the next measured variate will deviate less far. In other words, an extreme event is likely to be followed by a less extreme event.
Although this phenomenon appears to violate the definition of independent events, it simply reflects the fact that the probability density function P(x) of any random variable x, by definition, is non-negative over every interval and integrates to one over the interval (-infty,infty). Thus, as you move away from the mean, the proportion of the distribution that lies closer to the mean than you do increases continuously.
1.01-worthy synergy of skills and situationWould have taken Kendrick if he wasn't a free agent. Going to the Rockies? Total SOD.
$12.95 Paypal GIFT to cpzeck at yahoo. It should be a fun, minimal level of effort league. Prize will be winner take all with a proposed in cost of $12.95. The winner will also receive a piece of Jimmy Gobble memorabilia that doesn't cost too much to ship.
Shame on you. I was preparing my write up on Galvis for this round.Freddy Galvis - SS
My third Phillie!
Sorry - I owe you this. Maybe this afternoon.Eephus said:I still need email addresses to send out the Fantrax invites.
Stephen Drew - Somehow, this guy keeps getting contracts. In the video linked, he's getting blown away by a Kluber 94 mph fastball. With a $5MM contract ($7MM with incentives!), the Yankees will probably trot him out there most days. This despite a 162/237/299 line and 75 Ks in 275 ABs last year. Gobbler heaven!Notorious T.R.E. said:3.12 - Stephen Drew, SS

Write-ups after my meeting.
:finger:4.5 Tyler Flowers, C, White Sox
I know catcher is super deep in this format, but he's got 2 straight years as a top 10 hitter in this thing, and in 2013 he did it in only 256 AB.
Also since I'm a Tigers fan, getting a bunch of White Sox to root against is a homer move.
Gosewisch for the searchersCatcher seal broken, I'll try this Tuffy Gosewich fella

I didn't realize this was an attempted pick at first. I thought you were just pondering the glorious awfulness that is John Danks, so I gave you a like for it.john danks seems awful
Thanks.Fantrax defaults (20 in 2014, 10 in 2015).
The positions listed in the Googlesheet are straight out of Fantrax.
The injury scared me off. What if he's all better?Almost took Jhoulys with my last pick. Really not that bad of a pitcher but the combination of lost velocity and Coors Field could be![]()
