Whole lotta doosh bag in this thread...posting or making fun of injuries in the Shark Pool is not cool. If you want to do that just go ahead over to FF Today or whatever rock you crawl out from under.
You should have gotten the memo on this by now.
I, for one, wasn't making fun of the injury or wishing ill will against him and really didn't think it was that serious - which is still doesn't appear to be. Seems a lot of Finley owners took a goose egg on him this week and that's what they are really upset about. I think most Finley owners enjoyed the Chuck Norris shtick while he was healthy so I don't see why it's so terrible to make a joke about it when it looks like a fairly minor injury.
For me, it's not the gooseegg. It's seeing he was injured during the game, coming to this thread to learn more about it, and then, instead of finding helpful information, seeing a ton of posts by people making fun of the fact he was injured
before we knew the severity of the injury. If you want to justify that, fine, but IMO you are being willfully obstinate if you cannot understand why others would be annoyed with that attitude/behavior on a forum that generally does an awesome job of weeding out useful information.
No offense, but it sounds like it's the goose egg for you. You were annoyed with that "behavior" because your team got sucker-punched two plays into the game. Nobody was making fun of the fact he was injured. They were riffing off a regular joke here. He wasn't motionless on the field with a circle of players praying for him. They weren't calling for an ambulance to rush him to the hospital. I'm sorry, but I can't help but think your ivory tower is related to the fact that your team was going to get a zero from a regular contributor.
Assuming your mouse has a scroll button, you'd have to measure the offense from this "behavior" in fractions of a second. Sure, I understand wanting the information and not having to wade through pages and pages of useless posts. But that's not what happened here. I came to the threads myself for the same reason. It wasn't overwhelming. I was able to get all the non-information just fine, and I pretty much expected to see some Chuck Norris-type references.
Maybe you honestly believe you'd be just as thin-skinned if it didn't affect your team, but really, I think it might have played a role. All of a sudden the Finley/Norris jokes are offensive? Please.
