FINLEY (1 Viewer)

I would only draft Jemichael finley over Jermichael Finley. Of course, a lot would depend on bye weeks.

Hey basically looked like the #1 WR on the Packers...what WRs are you drafting him before?
Do you mean WRs on the Packers roster?I'd draft Jennings ahead of him because Finley will still be there next round and I can have both on my team.Or, do you mean WRs from all teams?Lots. At least 15, probably more.

We did our dynasty FA auction yesterday (players who aren't rostered, contract lengths factor in), and off hand, here are the only WRs with higher contract values (i.e. auction values) than Finley coming out of yesterday:Andre JohnsonSteve SmithReggie WayneETA: Brandon Marshalland maybe Miles Austin (don't remember what he went for). Also, went for 50% more than Gates and Witten to be by far the highest paid TE in our league.Yep, we're drafting in the land of homers and cheese. Moss and Jennings were both real close to his price though.

I hope Finley breaks his leg week one.

Sure he is a beast but come on Rodgers is going to spread the ball to all those receivers.

Gates has to be the #1 TE off the board in my opinion - especially being the main go to guy in SD and also with that cake walk of a division and schedule.

Gates, Finley, Witten, Clark & Davis. Any of these 5 could finish #1, IMO.

Grab the 5th one off the board and get better RB/WR/QB's.

He could get more targets than Jennings this year but that's all guesswork.

From week 11 on he had 45 targets, Jennings had 46 and Driver 41. They were emphasizing Jennings and Finley then- Driver didn't fall because of declining talent, but that equated to 120 targets for the year, so projecting out it's only a little over 1000 yards, I wouldn't draft him over Jennings. I do like him better than anyone in PPR but Clark.

No, Finley is a lock for 1500/15 as a floor. I'm trying to work out a deal to get him before the draft starts since I don't know if he'll be there at 1.1, I've offered Randy Moss and my wife in a trade.

Oh.I do think he looks extra special in those tight green & yellow pants, if that's what you mean.

When we speak of TEs in the future, we will speak in terms of BJF and AJF.

BJF, 15 TEs had topped 1,000 yards receiving a total of 26 times.

AJF...

You don't feel to comfortable with your point if you want him to get hurt week one. Shouldn't you prefer him to play a full season so everyone can see how perceptive you are when he doesn't perform up to expectations? What would him getting hurt prove?

Got both Gates and Finley as my TE's (rookie A.Hernandez too)

But i told one guy BOTH would be 1-2 in scoring and Finley by a good ammount.

He said someone else would finish higher, and im like name who...(in a non ppr)

We was suppose to bet but in no injury, i can see both as top 2 te's.

Finley will have numbers similar to M.Austin last yr however.

81rec 1300yrds and 11+ td's is well within reach for this fella.

I am drafting Foster in 1st, Finley in the 2nd and Best in the 3rd then going home. That's all I need after reading this board this past weekend.

Finley is constantly open, and Aaron Rodgers is putting the ball on his hands. The freakishly athletic tight end is a laughable mismatch for safeties, much less linebackers. He's now up to 12 receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns in three exhibition games. Do not be afraid to target him as the No. 1 fantasy tight end.

You're absolutely right about that. He's constantly open. He's like Denny's, but a million times better. I heard that he just caught three balls from Rodgers within the last two seconds. Doh. Six more already as I'm writing this. Jermichael Finley scores fantasy points even when he's not on the field. Why would you draft a WR at all with Finley on your team? You don't need one.

Just keep him away from Chmura's hot tub and we should be OK.

(sorry for the clutter, don't usually post drivel like this)....Carry on

More like Wal-Mart given all he can offer you. However the Denny's thing is intriguing cuz he just FEASTS on secondaries. Anyway, I also think Justin Forsett is a better pick than Jahvid Best. Not visiting the Arian Nayshon station either. JF88 is the only legit hype this preseason. I just can't see how the voters will decide on JF88 or AR12 for superbowl MVP...tuff stuff, friends

At this point Jermichael Finley needs a nickname. I can't believe we actually call this guy by his given name at this point...and don't you dare "JFin" me!

As to the op...I just picked him up in my draft at the end of the fifth round and was pretty happy to join the finley LOCOmotive. Steve Smith (Carolina) got sniped just before I selected or I would have taken smitty...the next wrs off the board after I took finley were ochocino, malcom floyd, nicks and harvin. So, I guess I wouldn't pass on any of the standard wr1's for him but luckily didn't have to.

wooo wooo, baby, wooo wooo!

Rotoworld) Packers coach Mike McCarthy has essentially guaranteed that Jermichael Finley will be a Pro Bowler this year as long as he avoids major injury. Analysis: "If he stays healthy ... 16 games, I'm sure you'll be sending him to Hawaii," McCarthy stated. It's hard to quibble with McCarthy's assessment. Finley has not only emerged as the dominant talent at his position in the NFC, he's also become Aaron Rodgers' go-to receiver.

Wow, just wow

If you can find a player with more letters in his first name than Finely... go ahead and draft him first... but just like the # letters in his first name, Jermichael's talent is unsurpassed.

Sounds like he had to settle for Gates in his draft.

You expect Finley to be there in the 2nd? Haven't you been paying attention
:X I had my draft tonight. Foster went #1, Best went #2. I had the #4 pick, held my breath..luckily some noob took CJ at #3 leaving Finley there for me at 4. PHEW.

This thread wins.

I got him at 7.2 tonight, my leaguemates did not get the memo.

I don't know why we bother playing out the rest of the year, I've obviously won the SB.
