First Pick - Still CMC in this league? (1 Viewer)

Have the first pick in a 12 team ppr redraft. This league is a little strange where you only need to start 1 RB. Line up is QB, RB, WR, WR, TE, Flex, K, D. Would you still take CMC first overall in this scenario or go with Lamb/Hill?

I'm going Lamb with only 1 RB starting. There still isn't a lot of target competition on his team so he should get 170 targets again.

Only having 6 starters is wild (k/d don'' count) - why only 1 RB spot? I'd also lobby the league to add in an extra flex.

Yes, I take CMC first in every league. He is that much better than everyone else. It's less important in a start 1 RB but it also makes the risk of CMC less because it is easier to have to only replace one RB when everyone else only has to play one RB as well.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the set up. It is a long running league that I joined a few years ago. I've been lobbying for change with no luck. Their logic is that NFL teams only start 1 RB at a time

With that logic, you should only be drafting whole teams then.

Or, maybe a two round draft, starters are Offensive team and DST.

Or, six round drafts, with starters being OFF, DEF, and Special Teams, and 3 bench spots.

Short answer yes.
Long answer yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

I ummm....don't really think it's that silly.

*ducks*

I understand the logic of both 1 rb and 2 rb formats. I kind of like the idea of 1 rb and 2 flex. I also think they should add another wr slot.

If anything, I think needing to start 1 RB makes picking CMC ever better (since, barring injury, your "1" is better than anyone else's "1")

Different formats are fun but I think you are overthinking this one. CMC is the pick. You will get 2 good players at the 2-3 turn and you get to choose if your flex is a WR or RB. Beautiful situation. No worries.

In this format he is worth even more. Fewer starters means less chance for error. Go with the guy that scores a TD almost every game. The ONLY reason you don’t take CMC is if you think he is gonna get hurt. Playing that way will screw ya. I truly believe Breece Hall is going to lead the league in scoring but Id pick CMC. He’s a cheat code in the situation he is in.
