First time playing in Keeper Leagues (1 Viewer)

This is my first year playing in keeper leagues. One is a 3 player keeper and the other is a 5 player keeper.

Is it too early to start trying to make trades? I'd like to start ranking keeper players. I'm assuming that in a 3 player keeper league, only Top 20-25RB/Top10 or so WR/and top 5 or so QB are likely to be considered as keepers. In a 5 player keeper league, I would guess some TEs will also be kept.

I know it's early, but it's never TOO early to start wheeling/dealing. I think I've got 4-5 worthy keepers in the 3 player keeper league, but will struggle to find 5 quality keepers in the other league.

So anyone want to start ranking Keepers? I'm going to start compiling my initial rankings and I'll post when I'm done, tonight or tomorrow.

EDIT: Oops. I see some Dynasty ranking threads. I'll check those before posting.

I'm in a smaller keeper league too. It really depends on the way your other leaguemates value other players. Now is the time IMO is to deal all your marginal guys, the guys you are not really sure if your going to protect or not, for draft picks. If you can rape a homer for a high draft pick than good times for you, if not dont make a deal just to trade.

How many keepers? Mind posting what the breakdown at each position was? Both leagues I'm in have pretty standard scoring. No ppr. 1/2/3/111 lineup.

Pretty experienced owners for the most part, but it is first keeper league for many. So I guess like everyone else they value RBs highly.

Thanks, I will. Figured with two different leagues I didn't want to turn this into a Who Should I Keep thread. Rather thought it would be interesting to start some threads on Keeper rankings. Then I noticed the Dynasty Ranking threads so figured not much use to duplicate as top rankings should be similiar for Keeper/Dynasty leagues with not much differences. Off I go to Trader Joe's thread. Thanks/

We do up to 7 keepers, with each keeper costing you a draft pick. So if protect 7 players you don't get a pick unti the 8th round of our rookie vet draft. You are free to protect less if you want, which is one of my favorite parts of this league, if you only protect 1 you get a pick in the 2nd round. I have found it is key to really figure out the players that owners are in love with. You can never have enough RBs.

This league has 3 keepers Required. Draft does not factor in which round they were drafted in last year. So normal draft next year, with 36 players being kept.
