Five Guys thread, a 130+ page swordfight. (1 Viewer)

Five Guys is the greatest burger ever.
How's their mac & cheese?
mac & cheese milkshake = SPEED
...into the toilet?
I love Five Guys! Great food. I've had Red Robin, and it is not as good. I've had In & Out, and I really liked it too, but it was one time at 2:00 a.m. after being out. I think it was really good anyway!A sleeper burger joint: Tolly Ho (sp) in Lexington, KY. The Super Ho with cheese is the bomb!

This thread truly embodies America
Agreed, except the part where our attention spans were actually strong enough to focus on one topic for over ten pages. Except for the parts about water ice, BBQ, milkshakes, mac and cheese and I just saw a bird

I had a Culver's burger for the first time today and it is truly the best.
Pretty decent posting.
Did you see Terry's Turf Club on DDD the other night? Have you been there?
No, where is it?
Linwood. It looks like it may be worth a trip.
If either of you tubbys make it there, please report back. I'm intrigued by the burgers and will be in Cincinnati next month.

I think I'd rather eat a bucket of turtle poop than the french fries from Red Robin.
 Red Robin fries are terrible. No matter how many times I have received their bottomless fries they have never been hot.
I've worked at Red Robin. I've never gotten the love people have for that place.edited: there are Five Guys places in Manhatten? Gotta go check this out soon...
If you're close to Riverside Square in Hackensack, NJ, there is one there.
One near Grand Central. Think 3rd between 42nd and 43rd.
How long has that been there? I lived in Murray Hill and don't remember it there. Then again, maybe it's because I went to Sarge's for their fries and chicken salad nearly every day.

We are getting our first one here next month. Locally our best burger are Fuddruckers and Smashburger as far as greasy deliciousness. Fudds is hard to beat because of the jalapeno pump cheese. I look forward to trying out a new heart attack inducer.
I take my hamburgers very seriously and can't believe that this is the first mention of Fuddruckers in this entire thread  Fudruckers is MUCH better than either 5 Guys or Red Robin, and I've been to all 3 on multiple occasions.

If you have a Fuddruckers in your neck of the woods and are still going to 5 Guys or Red Robin, then shame on you...

Any place you can get liquid cheese as as condiment has my vote. Love me some Fuddruckers.

Fuddruckers works well enough for a chain place, never had 5 Guys. The Red Robin by me used to be good but now the food's always cold, bad service, etc. Best chain burger around here is at Bobby's Burger Palace, though I've heard some of those places are hit or miss.

I don't frequent chains for my burgers though usually. Burgerjoint in NYC and The Fireplace in Paramus NJ are where it's at.

No idea, was temporarily working there at the start of the year and I noticed it. Tried it because I remember Obama pimped it.

Eating a Five Guys burger for lunch in about 45 minutes. Can't wait. I'll be sure to provide updates during lunch.
Tease!
:lmao: Ok, no updates during the meal.It was a good burger, but not great. And despite people complaining about slow the food is, it really wasn't that bad.Only bummer was that I hoped to see a desperate 7.5 girl whose credit card wasn't working so that I could get some Friday hookup action, but no such luck.

I just got back from Fat Burger, and my stomach's about to explode.

I had the King Deal (Large 8 oz. burger w. cheese, fat fries and med drink) = $10.18 + .99 tax = $11.17 total

Burger was thick and juicy, not as oily as In-N-Out. In-N-Out's double double combo is cheaper and there's something nice about having 2 patties even if they are smaller in total size of a half pound King burger.

Both are very good, just different. Fat Burger is pretty underrated.

I used to hit the one in Vegas every time I was there. That is a damn good and very underrated burger.

Sorry if someone's mentioned this but a place in Atlanta that I would highly recommend is Flip Burger. Not a chain place but a burger restaurant that has what I consider to be the best burger I've ever had (and can be had for under $10). The place is very pretentious though - calls itself a boutique for God's sake but the burgers (and fries) are unbelievable. They have a location in Birmingham too. I normally get the Butcher's Cut but everything I've ever had is awesome. Thinking of getting the tartare burger next time.

Try it out if you are in Atlanta or Birmingham and looking for a good burger.

I stumbled onto this place in my stint there....pretty freakin' good burgers. Some are not my taste, but the ones that were hit the mark.

The only thing I dont like about Five Guys is they wont make a triple for me. They just wont do it. I told them charge me whatever you have to, but they say no every time. And no, Im not going to order a double and a single and then take the one patty and put it on my double. If I wanted to build a burger, Id work there.JUST COOK AND MAKE ME A TRIPLE CHEESEBURGER, DAMMIT!!!!

White Manna is much better than the Fireplace for sure.

Five Guys is the best thing to happen to hamburgers in the last 5 years. (for me)
