flex players AFTER the draft (1 Viewer)

our league always has drafted a set number of players at each position and do not want to change.

we want to keep the same starting requirements so no flex players will start.

the object is to allow flex players on the roster so that trades can be made by non like players....a wide receiver for a quarterback say. ...or 2 player traded for 1 player.

anybody have any experience with this and wish to share your experience?

Our league changed last year. We draft a set # of players at each position so no one can load up on a certain position. After week one our rosters are completely flexible. For example we MUST draft 3 QB's,2 defenses ,2 kickers, etc. After week one, either through the waiver process or trades we can have any number of players at any position,of course you must meet starting lineup requirments every week or forfeit. It worked out very well, teams were able to manuvuer throughout the season to account for injuries, bye weeks, etc. I'd say it was a very good move for our league
