Why is this not a thing? Every time I get delayed, I'd be a tiny bit happier if the drink in front of me would have been comped for the inconvenience.

If it was their fault you might be able to negotiate a free drink. I can see why they wouldn't just offer everybody free alcohol.

It used to happen pretty frequently about 10-15 years ago. 

I thought it was great, other than being delayed.

They denied me. I asked nicely then gave up. Just wish there was a better "Sorry for the inconvenience" protocol.

really miss the food and beverage vouchers. Now you are lucky to find a human to help you at all. It's scull faster to call for service.
