As a sidecar to the "Adding things to foods that don't need to be added" thread, what can you add to anything or at least lots of stuff?
The first one that came to mind for me was Pico de Gallo; not plain old ordinary salsa, but the more chunky, less saucy Pico is great on lots of dishes. From Mexican, to soups, to scrambled eggs, to pasta, to my baked potato this evening, it can be added to lots of dishes. The little bit o'kick, depending on how it was made, can make for a nice addition, too.
So what else do you add? In addition to S&P, garlic, and other simple items.
