Just rubbed me the wrong way as something that reports spout off about but is way off base with the general consensus on the topic.

From my experience with taking people the first time to games or even girlfriends to games as well they always prefer the game to the TV experience. Some of these people will go any weekend to the game but would never even want to come close to watching a game on TV.

I might be skewed but I have a feeling that they are speaking more from someone who gets to go to pretty much any game they want for free each weekend and possibly even make 3+ games during a week. Also I love baseball but the biggest opposition I have to that is there is no Fox Trax at the game, as note I do have season tickets behind home plate but bugs me not getting that exact response on if it hit the strike zone.

For me, distance and cost are prohibitive. Not everyone has the luxury you do. sunday ticket for me

I love college football live. The atmosphere is great, and its much cheaper.

I generally find these people aren't true football fans, so would rarely bother watching on TV, but do enjoy going to a game. Not necessarily to watch the game, but just for the experience.Personally, I'd rather watch on TV. Save a ton of money, not deal with obnoxious idiots, and see replays or even jump to other games at the push of a button.

I much prefer NFL on TV. 80% if the time you are spent just sitting around waiting. Atleast at home I can change the channel.

This topic was brought up on Mike and Mike? What exactly did they say?

I'll take the stadium experience over TV any day of the week. However, I know I'm in the minority. I think the NFL realizes it and sees it as a major problem. I'd be surprised though if they are not working on the issue. Solid WiFi in every NFL stadium would be a step.

They were agreeing for the most part with the poll results. With the price of games and parking and food/beer and the quality TV pictures nowdays, the NFL needs to do something to get fans back into the stadium. I also voted for TV. Just enjoy myself more and save a ton of $$$

It just depends...Arizona vs SF on a rainy day in November? Yea, I'd rather stay home in my sweats and watch it on TV. But a home opener, MNF or SNF game, or any other game that has significance outside the two markets? I want to be at those games...there is just an energy that you can't get in your living room...that's why i'm a season tix holder. I want to be at those games. Witnessing the NO/SF playoff game in person was something I'll never forget. Obviously I wouldn't forget it if I only watched it on TV, but being there was special.

Well first of all most people are taking in the Price of the game which I said leave out of the conversation. They said the NFL was the only pro sport where the TV product is better than the in person one.

Probably depends on the stadium. I would imagine your experiences at Lambeau are quite a bit more enjoyable than any of the ones I've had at FedEx Field (all sucked).

I used go love going to the Pats games in the mid 90's when the games moved quicker. Television timeouts havr killed the game imo. Now I panic whenever I get an invite to Foxboro for a Pats game. I HATE going there for american football. Soccer is fun there though.

baseball is so much better on TV as aRed Sox fan. No Fenway blind spots & 3.5-4hr games are much more enjoyable at home.

Not a Patriot fan but go to one game a year for the nfl experience. Problem with FB is its an all day commitment
