For those complaining about injuries (1 Viewer)

here's the Top 25 from FBG 8/31/07. i count for sure 10 BUSTs with 4 secondary to injuries (it's still too soon to tell on adrian peterson). i added 5 "eh's" for players who started slow or are not meeting expectations YET. IIRC, usually half of the top 25 don't perform at their draft position. so while this year seems like the injury bug has bitten more than ever, this year is not THAT dramatically different than year's past. sure some high performing late rounders are out (i.e. ronnie brown), but i suspect the same law of averages holds true for the Top 50.

LaDainian Tomlinson - eh

Steven Jackson - INJURY

Larry Johnson - BUST/INJURY

Willie Parker - not getting the TD love

Joseph Addai

Frank Gore - BUST

Brian Westbrook

Travis Henry - BUST

Shaun Alexander - BUST

Reggie Bush

Peyton Manning

Rudi Johnson - INJURY

Laurence Maroney - BUST

Willis McGahee - eh

Steve Smith - BUST

Chad Johnson - eh

Maurice Jones-Drew - eh

Marvin Harrison - INJURY

Cedric Benson - BUST

Adrian Peterson

Terrell Owens

Carson Palmer

Reggie Wayne

Roy Williams - started off strong, but now eh

Edgerrin James

Good thread. That's why I consider the draft to be only the jumping off point for my personnel moves. I mean, I drafted FWP in the first and Chad Johnson in the second. I have neither now. I do have Joe Addai and Larry Johnson, though. Injuries happen, what can you do. But I made the right move in acquiring him as he was rounding into shape right before he played the RB injuring Packers D.

Good list, I hope good discussion will come out of this thread. I would move your "eh" from Chad Johnson to Carson Palmer. Johnson's stats are right in line with the past two years, so it's hard to say he is having a down year.
