For those saying Gibbs has no class... (1 Viewer)

First, he DID shake hands with Bill. He was asked if he thought they ran up the score and he said "I have NO problem with anything the Patriots did today"

He repeatedly praised Bill, and the entire Patroits team.

Yes, the Skins STUNK today, but those haters that felt a need to smear Gibbs, calling him classless, you guys need to sit down, and pour yourselves a nice glass of... I think you know the rest.

To be honest, I've never heard anyone say that Gibbs is anything other than a Class Act.

Who is saying otherwise?

Most of the comments I read were sarcastic. Just like the ones about the Skins have no class for trying to score at all durnig the 4th and should have taken a knee.

I havent made it into every thread but I havent seen that said once. Any fan saying that Gibbs has no class regardless of FOX making it look like Gibbs refused to shake hands with Belichick, is an idiot. Gibbs is a class act.

in the official game thread, several people were saying Gibbs had no class. And they weren't all Pats fans either. Guys like Scooby, who just come to the thread to flame the Skins. You wanna talk about how crappy the TEAM played, that's fine, but as many here have said, Gibbs is the epitome of class, one of the nicest guys around. Just pissed me off and wanted people to know Fox cut away, but he DID shake hands with Bill.

I can't imagine someone who knows Gibbs' history to ever say he is without class.

He may be without the ability to win in the modern game, but he can be mediocre with class, at least.

Yeah, saw that.
Can't feel good for BB to get snubbed by a guy like Joe Gibbs... then again I'm not sure Belichick has a soul..This will be a story if it really happened
Countdown to first Pats fan calling Gibbs out for poor sportsmanship...
he picked it up over there at the nascar

Now that is classless.
What a clown. Way to show up, Gibbs. :stirspot:
(Take your pick on the ScoobyDoo posts, BTW.)

Did you guys see the handshake for sure?

I didn't see it but the NFL game day guys with Rich Eisen / Deion and Mariucci were aboslutely talkign about Gibbs going off and refusing to shake hands.

If they did shake hands, it was quick. Cameras showed Gibbs hustling off, and BB appearing to be looking around for someone.

Gibbs = :shrug:

Redskins will have plenty to work on after this game, but he's got plenty of film to teach them with now.

They absolutely DID shake hands. In his presser, someone ask Gibbs what was said between them after the game, and he said something to the extent of "not much to say, just shook hands, they did a great job" So yes, Gibbs DEFINITELY shook Bill's hand.

That is definitely how NFL Network is spinning it. Gibbs refusing to shake hands and hustling off while Belichick looks around.J

Thanks PP. So you saw them shake hands? Or you're getting that from the answer in the press conference?J

There's a pic of them shaking hands somewhere on Yahoo...can't find it now. But, it's there. Saw the NFLN stuff, too...but, they got it wrong...they did shake hands.

They showed a picture of it on game day. They shook hands. Eisen was typically smug about showing it.

Didn't see it, (the actual handshake) but it was obvious from the press conference, I heard the reporter ask, what was said at the exchange at the end of the game. That is when Gibbs responded to the reporter, that there wasn't much to say, I shook his hand, they played great...etc. I'm 100% of those exact words. Its on Redskins.com

On NFL Network Game Day? What I saw from Eisen was he and Deion talking Gibbs not shaking hands. Not saying he did or didn't, I"m just saying what I saw Eisen cover. Did he come back to it later in the show or something? I'm watching it on Tivo.J

They admitted they had been wrong earlier when they showed the picture. It was after Deon's top 10 shouting plays at the end of the show before they re-aired the show.

Cool. Thanks. Hadn't got to there yet. GB Tivo.J

they just talked about it on the 10pm NFLN Gameday (not sure if this is a repeat broadcast). Neon Deion was trashing Gibbs for running off the field without shaking hands. That surprised me because I caught the post game presser where he was asked about what he said to BB afterwards.

funny thing is, Gibbs used to never shake hands during Gibbs I (he'd wave across the field to the coach - who he'd usually had just outcoached). only later in his first run did he eventually start shaking hands.

When did a handshake become such a major deal? I've seen many a game when the coach ran off pissed (without giving a handshake).

If they shook hands I was wrong about Gibbs. I was told by the reporting that Gibbs refused to shake hands. I guess reporters lie.

i've never heard of anyone saying gibbs has no class. i thought class was the reason he still has a job.

(actually, i'm kidding about that. i was skeptical of gibbs at first, but now i think he's doing pretty well. he just had to clean up the spurrier/snyder mess)

but i'll give you what you were fishing for:

joe gibbs is a man of great character and class and all redskins fans should feel proud of having a coach that can take a 52-7 beating with such class.
