Just curious as to how others are handling this... has one of the single sources been reliably (relative term) accurate on an annual basis with his projections such that preference should be given versus the consensus average?

I used to import my own. Now I blend all 4 FBG projections in PD, then tweak where I feel strongly about someone...then import. Dodds does have a pretty good track record, but I like the checks and balances of a blend.

This is what I do also. I weight the projections 25% each on PD...then if I feel strongly about a particular player or am in disagreement with the projections as they have it, I will tweak them with the user funtion. I then import these projections to DD, and then export the player pool to excel and make tiers and such.

Im talking like 2 totally different set of projections.

This is my first year using DD... whose are the projections being used "straight out of the box" if I don't do anything with PD and reimport them? Is it Dodds?

I believe it is stated somewhere they are a blend of the FBG contributors (the guys you will find within the Projections Dominator software).

Well, that's what I figured, but two previous posters mentioned that they blend the four contributors' projections into one after making any desired changes and then import that file into DD. I guess I am trying to figure out how that is different than just making changes to the supplied projections in DD, which are already a combination of the four contributors. Sorry if I am being a bonehead here... Scooter

Ok, in case anyone else wanders into this thread and is curious... I just did some investigating. It appears to me that when you select "Get Latest Projections" in DD, you get the projections of only David Dobbs (at least for the offensive positions) . If you want to get a blend, you have to change the percentages in PD and then import that file into DD.Scooter

I start with a consensus in the PD and then compare that to what I feel for each player. When I used to do it on my own completely I would do it based on % of past 3 years...problem with that is that it takes a lot more manipulation to get that in line with new situations so I let the FBGs do that for me now and I tweak off that.

I found Woodrow's projections to be the most in line with what I think will happen this year although ultimately most players have a small tweak to my own feelings.

It could also be whether or not you have Week 17 checked as a playing week in DD. If you tell DD that you're playing thru Week 16, it stops its projections a game early.

I recently became an insider and installed the Draft Dominater last night.  Everything seems pretty cut and dry with the exception of the Player Projections.  I can't seem to figure out how to add this to the front page or print them...I can only access it and view it from the Setup.  I'm sure I'm just missing something but I couldn't locate how to do this using the users manual either.  Any help would be appreciated.

In the latest Projections Dominator there is a major issue Im having when weighting any of the qb,rb,wr,te to Maurile Tremblay.

The program allows you to input any percentage you want for him... But when you click on any player afterwards, only the weights for Woods, Dodds and Henry are calculated.

This is COMPLETELY skewing my import into Draft Dominator as I dont use Maurile at all for WR (0%), and thus when I do the import, WRs are all ranked at the top, and rbs, qbs, tes at the bottom, which is completely wrong.

I hope someone gets what Im saying.

As a test try this: in PD, weight all players at 100% for Maurile... then import to DD and see what happens. I get a disastrous draft order (Green Bay at PITTS DEF as 1,2)

That is because Tremblay doesn't have any projections done yet. If you want more accurate projections choose 33 for two of them and 34 for the third or something like that. You'll know you can make them all 25 when Tremblay's projections are shown on each players projections page.
