Frank Gore injury thread (1 Viewer)

I think the strategy will be for Gore to start. Help the 49ers get out to a lead and then rest him for most of the 2nd half so he's at full strength for Thursday. They don't need Gore to beat the Cardinals but they do need him against Baltimore. I expect 10-12 carries, 55 yds and possibly a TD.

Just a guess.

I think Gore gets more rest than not. I have no skin in this game, but I think Hunter is the call here. Gore is the one who wants to stay in the lineup. Captain Comeback could easily gameplan without him (although 'Zona has been playing very good defense the past 3 weeks....). Trap?

Tough spot for me here because Gore is in a late game. Benson against the Ravens at noon and bench Gore, or risk Gore and bench Cedric.

Gore is one of the leaders of this team though, if not THE leader. I think he plays normally. Meaning about 22 carries, with Hunter getting 7 or 8.

Assuming Gore is playing, and there is no further discussion about his workload, are you Gore owners who have Hunter rolling with Gore? I own both and will probably go Gore but I've been burned the last few weeks with Gore/McGahee injuries, so definitely tempted to play Hunter over Gore. However, I think the game will be closer than most think and that should help keep Gore in the game. If Gore can get one TD, I'll be thrilled with whatever he gets yardage wise...

Starting one early RB (Deangelo :bag: ) just incase he is out. Keeping Beanie at the ready in case I don't like what I hear right before kickoff. Planning on scoring 0 points.

I own Gore and Hunter and I'm starting Gore with confidence unless there is something significant that happens between now and kickoff.

Same. Keeping hunter at the ready but not expecting to have to switch them.

I think Harbaugh puts more emphasis on this division game than on next week's nationally televised BrotherBowl. JMHO. I'm rolling with Gore.

at least its a 415 game. presently running gore, but might switch to hunter if I am up big early. I see Hunter as the higher floor lower ceiling play and gore as the boom bust play.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Frank Gore (questionable, knee) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Gore was limited in practic,e but insisted he would be active after missing the majority of last week's game with knee and ankle injuries. The question now becomes how much of his workload will be delegated to Kendall Hunter. Gore checks in as Rotoworld's 14th rated back; Hunter is a mid-to-low end flex.Nov 20 - 11:11 A

I guess when Gore says he's good to go, we should take him at his word. Sounds like his coach does.

24 carries makes him a workhorse RB, even with sitting at the end.

He stays in the lineup Thursday against Baltimore.

I agree. He is the heart and soul of that offense. Just like Willis is on defense.
