Hey everybody!

With Daniels now officially listed as OUT on some platforms, I've been able to free up a slot for a FA pickup from the wire. I wanted to gauge some opinions on who the best stash is.

For reference, this is 10-man 1.0PPR, and I am incredibly RB hungry (Currently rocking with J. Jacob, T. Pollard, and J. Dobbins as my only RBs rostered). I'd like to prioritize RBs that could reasonably start during the bye weeks, or to hedge against Harvey supplanting Dobbins late-season, so RBs that look appealing longer-term is what I'm hoping for.

Interesting names on the wire include: R. White, N. Harris, K. Monangai, W. Marks, B. Corum. I can certainly check if some of the other lottery ticket RBs are out and about, but at the moment I'm currently leaning towards Harris as a totally competent back on a great offense, with an underperforming rookie as competition.

I appreciate any input you may have!

Here are my thoughts:
  • R White - looks good and TB is solid. He is a nice combo of flex appeal and long term upside with a Bucky injury
  • N Harris - I think he is a solid floor play that you can flex each week in positions where you are heavily favored and just need a solid floor
  • Monangai - he is an upside stash. He may be useless but if Swift gets hurt or doghouse then there could be solid RB2 value
  • Marks - flashed a bit this week. I don't believe Chubb really has much juice left and Houston will start to try and get Marks some more touches. I like him as a stash
  • Corum - High upside cuff. Takes a Kyren injury to be able to confidently play him week to week. If I had Kyren I would say he is a priority but I would put White/Harris above him depending on your want for that spot.

If you have Kyren it’s an easy Corum. He’s looked real good when playing.

If you don’t have him I’d go Monangui. Swift is not gonna last. This could be Detroit PTSD showing but I have no faith in him.

You have to imagine Ben Johnson ALSO has that Detroit PTSD 😂 I’m keeping my eye on Monangai for waivers next week as I don’t expect him to take that next step this week. If he stays cheap for week 4 waivers, I’ll hopefully snag him if there’s no big splash targets to prioritize at RB. Though I still prefer Corum’s talent, he’s injury dependent. A poor man’s Allgier, if you would.

Except Corum is still getting touches, even at the goal line. Bijan has pretty much benched Algier except to get a water after his 50 yr runs.

Allgeier has more touches, yards, same number of touchdowns… at least as it stands right now, Allgeier is the better fantasy play. And haven’t we already been told that last week’s division of touches was about what McVay wants out of his RBs? Are we expecting Corum to make this a 50/50 suddenly?

If Allgeier was available I’d have picked up up over any of the players listed, FWIW. I just think he’s the right combination of lottery ticket and independently emergency playable.

Not what I mean… but I get what you are saying.

Bijan does not lose touches to Algier any longer. They are not splitting time/reps like last year, Algier just gets to play. Corum has been taking touches from Kyren. There is a difference.

I see- I think I just misinterpreted! Your insight is appreciated regardless 😁 if only I had a little more bench space I’d love to roster Corum, but I do still think it takes an injury in front of him to project him as more than a risky RB3-4 for bye week or injury fill-in.

He's playing against Dallas today. He will not be available next week.
