Seahawks agree to 5 year deal with Sidney Rice
Tough break for Rice owners. Pending who they finally settle on at QB. Can they still make a play for Kolb?
Kolb to ARZ is all but done
And Rice owners hang their head.
I don't think having a terrible QB is always a precursor to a high end WR having a poor year. Calvin, Fitz, Stevie Johnson, Braylon Edwards and many more WRs have shown that it isn't the kiss of death playing for an inexperienced and not so talented QB. I'd be more concerned about his health and the fact that his only productive fantasy season was with Favre (who had a career year).

I dont think he's stuck for the whole 5 yrs. Maybe not even one.

Seattle has money and options, they could pull a rabbit out of their hat. I dont own Rice but would love to see the Hawks put a decent guy behind center.

Michael Lombardi think MIN will go after B. Edwards.
that could be a great destination for edwards, and fit in some ways...MIN went hard after rice (as they should have, if hip checks out)... BE probably next best WR now that the holmes & rice dominos have tumbled...edwards and harvin would be pretty talented WR tandem, they added consensus top TE rudolph, can help mcnabb in short term and ponder long term... competent passing game will help peterson, and edwards is an underrated blocker in run game...

Terms aren't yet known but "beleived to be in the 10M per year range" per ESPN. The article also says they can't afford Braylon b/c of the deal, which would have to mean they absolutely can't afford Nnamdi. We'll see, I guess.
do they move B. Smith up the chart to keep him from going to the Pats?

weddle stays in SD

davidcanter @david canterCongratulations to DEC MANAGEMENT client Eric Weddle on becoming the highest paid safety in NFL history. San Diego Super Chargers
Chargers agreed to terms with FS Eric Weddle on a five-year, $50 million contract with $19 million guaranteed. It's the richest contract for a safety in league history. Though Chargers fans haven't been satisfied with Weddle's turnover rates -- he has six interceptions in four seasons -- he's arguably the best run-support free safety in football and not usually a liability in pass coverage. San Diego has an extremely good-looking secondary on paper with Weddle and Bob Sanders "inside," and Antoine Cason and Quentin Jammer on the corners. Now, they need to generate a better pass rush
YIKES that's big. I like Weddle but that's some major coin. Basically AJ's saying Weddle >> VJax because that's essentially the contract VJax was looking for and AJ publicly came out and said that ain't happenin.

Derrick Locke to Philly. 3 undrafted backs now added.
So he jerked with the Rams and backed out in his commitment and committed to the Vikes. Then he fails his physical and the Vikes pass. Now he's going to try again. Sounds like issues that doesn't warrant a signing to me. He's a quick guy and effective on the field but too many question marks here.

breaston to KC - $9.5 mill in guarantees per Trotter on twitter.
Also its a 5 year deal
With Bowe and Baldwin there I just dont see this move. Not to mention Breaston's bad knees.
Why with the drafting of Baldwin
Baldwin's future is already a lot better than Breaston. Add in the bad knees and high cost and I come up ???.If KC wanted a mediocre WR to mentor Baldwin or play till he's ready there were a lot of guys available that look better than Breaston. And I used to be really high on that guy.

Why is A-Foster on the list he has a contract for this year.

Arian Foster Running Back 2011: $480,000, 2012: Restricted Free Agent
Not sure, just stole the list...could it be his blurb?Arian Foster reiterated that he is not concerned with his contract despite being due just $480,000 this year.

Set to play on an exclusive rights tender for the third-year NFL minimum, Foster is the most underpaid player in pro football. "I can't worry about that," he said. "I am tied to the Texans as an exclusive rights free agent and I know they'll take care of me." Foster possesses little leverage, but he'd have a very good argument if he held out of training camp ala Ryan Grant two years ago. It appears we don't have to worry about Foster missing any time.

He will get a new deal I assume, but, yea, he is not going anywhere and probably should not be on this list

The guy had Foster on the list, but Manning out...I will remove Foster.
All the more motivation to meet and exceed last year's performance. I don't know if it's possible, but he will damn sure be trying
