Friday Night Lights (2 Viewers)

Friday Night Lights Werewolf coming to message board near you, most likely tomorrow. Any of those who are fans of the show but have never played WW before jump on the bandwagon.

For those slumming without DTV, Season 4 starts this friday night. Get your popcorn ready and set your DVRs. I think Season 4 was the best yet. I can't wait to watch it again (my DVR croaked and I lost them all).

 Thanks for the heads up Pollard...new DVR reset my recording list.2 best things about summer TV are FNL and Madmen.

I'm not sure about the best season, but it is indeed very, very good. It's also unlike past seasons with many new characters and a new school in the mix.

heard next season may be the last - with all the crap on TV how does this show not last longer? They already proved this last season that the players can come and go - I watch for the coach....(and his wife!) One of the few shows my wife and I enjoy together

Am I lunching? I feel like I have already seen this season. Was it released earlier on HDNET on direct TV?

About to watch Ep 2 of this season...little weird without half the cast....overall seems like FBG reviews are good?

This is the first episode I've seen this season. How much longer are they gonna keep selling Tim Riggins to us?

He is 29 years old. He should be in 24th grade by now.

Next season will be the last on NBC. I don't know whether it has a chance to get picked up by WB or something...
take it for what its worth but...i ran into some of the cast last week at a diner in austin after 6th street. went up to them told them i was a big fan and was sorry it was getting canned after season 5. Buddy Garrity says to me, "Don't believe that internet bull####, we aren't getting canceled." I hope this is true because I'm loving the East Dillon storyline.

Well season 4 has be great. I thought Kyle Chandler was cast for the new Terra Nova show, but i still hope there's a season 6.

Very good episode. More than likely the last year for Riggans on the show as all the students move on. I could see Matt and Julie being gone and a the new crop from this year being the main cast.

I didn't read the rest of this thread for fear of spoilers from those who may have watched it on DirectTV, but the last episode was great. I don't know what it takes to win an Emmy, but the kid that plays Matt Saracen (Zach Gilford) earned his stripes in this one. Good stuff.

yeah, he was very good. that new black chick is ridiculously hot. bonus appearance for minka kelly this week was sweet.

Gilford has impressed me before, but that was as good a performance as I've ever seen on television. Interesting that three of the best episodes of television that I've seen have dealt with grieving in entirely different ways (Two Catherdrals from the West Wing, The Body from Buffy, and now The Son) And of course he won't be nominated because the Emmys suck.

:) I saw this episode back in December and it literally brought me to tears. One of the best individual TV episodes I can remember. I thought this year was the best season yet of this show.

they make me wait until may and all they can give me is 13 ####### episodes? are you serious?

also IMDB says Adrianne Palicki was in the last 2 episodes ... damned if I saw her.

Finally saw the full season on NBC (don't have DirectTV).

A big switch in direction the show, but overall I liked the season. The ending with Landry nailing the game winning FG was a bit schmaltzy, but overall a very good finale.

I'd be lying if I said didn't hold back a tear or two when Tim told his brother that he was taking the fall for him.

awesome season, excellent finale. I believe wikipedia says there will be 1 more season. Here is their source:http://www.tvguide.com/News/Friday-Night-L...ng-1014921.aspx

Anyone watching this in syndication on ABC family? I watched the newest season (East Dillon) in weekly episodes first... now I picked it up from the beginning on ABC family and wow... this might be my favorite show right now... i would say top 3 easy.

Anyone still watching? How many eps left? Wonder how they are gonna wrap it up.....Still dont know why its ending, I think this season has been great

I'm watching. Love it. I assume there's 1 episode, maybe 2, left in the series. (I'm hoping for 3 or 4)I assume it's ending because nobody watches, sadly.

I feel weird saying this, but even though FNL is one of my 3 favorite shows ever, I'm sort of okay that it's ending. All shows reach a point where they've run their course and FNL certainly isn't there yet (every season has gotten better than the next, imo), but I really like that they'll go out on top.

Plus, I trust them to give us a meaningful and enjoyable ending and I'm excited to see what it is. It feels like it'll take about 3 more episodes to do that.

Have watched this show since day 1. GB Direct TV for allowing some of us to see it before it hits regular TV.

I agree it's time to move on, as too many characters have come and gone only to show up for 10 minutes in a later episode.

Will be interesting to see what pans out in the final 2 episodes.

love FNL and think this season has been a good one. i have a feeling the ending will be bittersweet to some degree.

I don't see how he is going to pass up the college gig and the wife pass up the dean of admissions job. should be interesting.

The coach/wife dynamic is really the best part of the show which is why I think it could go on for a few more seasons. The kids are interchangeable. Hope it finds a way to get picked up another season.....shows like this and Arrested Development die while so much crap is on TV

Yeah, the coach/wife dynamic could always go on. I could watch them watch Saturday morning cartoons for a full episode and be entertained. They could do great things with a big storyline like this.I could be mistaken, but I think they gave up on that pursuit (getting picked up) about a year ago. It is a shame though, that they couldn't ever draw the size of audience that the quality of the show deserves. On an unrelated note, I really loved that very minor scene of Smash Williams TAMU highlights coming on at the bar with Riggins working. Nice, quick, effective way to highlight the struggles Riggins is going through to make sense of how the hell his life got to this point.

I was just about to put that down....the former players are gone but not forgotten...I like that. Could use a Minka scene though! I think in the end it will be about family....I think coach lets his wife follow her dream as she allowed him to follow his for so long.

Any word out there on when this hits regular TV for the rest of us?

ETA - Edit to answer my own question. I don't think its out there but NBC started airing episodes around the first week of May last year.

I've been following it online and just finished watching the penultimate episode. Looks like there will be a lot of familiar faces during the series finale. It's gonna get emotional... ;)

5 awesome years of a show that me and the wife could watch. its impressive how this show morphed from "hey honey, there is a new football show we can watch" in to this deep true drama. really impressive how the writers adapted and improved each season. loved it.good news--season one is on streaming netflix
