What I never understood. Why did they show about high school football on Friday nights? Did it ever occur to them that the reason people liked the show was they liked high school football? I am a hs football coach and I never got into the show because I COULD NEVER WATCH IT!!
I don't know why they did that. I can only guess they parked it on Friday's, waiting to see if the ratings ever warranted a move to a better night and, of course, that never happened.I kind of disagree though, with your general point. Other than Friday being a terrible night to try to build an audience, I really don't think this show was actually meant for football fans.
I think they tried to market it that way at first, but ultimately, this is a chick show that men will love too. The football is only important in that it can keep men on the couch long enough to fall in love too. They can tell themselves they are watching a football show, even though they are really caught up in a chick drama. A wonderful, wonderful chick drama.
Most of the people I know that have seen it really like it, but it's the women, especially, that do. I think the show could've had a huge audience if they could've found a way to get women in early.
Though, I guess there are plenty of women in the stands for HS football games that would've loved this show.
