Future Day - October 21st 2015 (1 Viewer)

***Official FBG Dentist***
Tomorrow is the big day. The day in the "future" that Marty and Doc arrived to change Marty's future kids.

Many theaters are showing either the trilogy in full or just BTTF 2, which I'll be seeing tomorrow.

Cubs are still in the long shot hunt for the World Series.

Toyota is releasing a special BTTF edition Tacoma.

IDW is releasing a new pre-quel 4 issue BTTF comic book starting tomorrow.

This is released tomorrow also.. I supported the kickstarter.. it should be a cool documentary.

Enjoy!

HOT TAKE ALERT:

I think it's really weird that people are acting like this is a big deal considering it was only in the crappy sequel, not the very good original movie that everyone knows well. I bet most people don't even remember the plot of the movie. All I remember is the sports almanac and Casino Biff.

I liked BTTF 2.. obviously it's not as good as the first one. But I celebrate the entire trilogy. Probably the best time travel movie made IMO.

That was the plot.

I remember 2 because it was the first one I saw in the theater. I was 4 for 1.

I've actually been planning for this day for over a year now. I have my flux capacitor shirt ready to go and took the day off from work so I can bar hop and celebrate. #serious####

Apparently Pepsi is releasing special limited edition Pepsi Perfect bottles too. I'm looking to get some if I can find them.

I can nearly quote the entire trilogy word for word. It's my favorite movie series. I don't care if anyone else remembers anything about it. Usually, they don't. I have the OUTATIME plate on my car and most people don't know what's it's from unless I tell them. Even fewer recognize the barcode plate from BTTF2 (which I also own a replica).

While we're at it, I recommend anyone who hasn't played the Back to the Future video game made by TellTale to play it. It's a fantastic story and is a great way to get a fix for a new movie. It's even voiced by Christopher Lloyd and a guy who does a spot-on Marty McFly impersonation (the real Michael J Fox makes a cameo later in the game, but I won't spoil it). You don't have to be good at video games to play it. It plays like a point-and-click adventure game, sort of like Maniac Mansion or Monkey Island.

It is here! 629 pm I believe is the official time, although that's California time.

Looking forward to that documentary and comic book coming out today. I also got the making of book where we're going we don't need roads

That's a hell of an average.

Like a screen door in a battleship.

BTTF is a great series. Love the whole thing. Anyone who doesn't like it can make like a tree and get out of here.

Just watched the first one with my kids for the first time - 8 yr old daughter caught every plot twist, and was totally immersed in the whole concept of going back in time and messing things up. It was pretty awesome hearing her comments while watching it.

IMO, BTTF is the gold standard time-travel movie. It set the standard for not messing things up in the past as there could be implications for the future.

 although Bill and Ted's is darn close.

ETA: Groundhog Day for the win, but that might not really count.

Enjoyed bttf2 on the big screen last night. Fun crowd. I've seen a few retro movies and it's always different when everyone in there has seen it 20 plus times.

Good stuff. The comic book part 1 was also really good.

Looking forward to the documentary

These strike me as -EV plays.

Speaking of 80's movies and time travel, ever notice the guy on the beach in Karate Kid is wearing a Nats hat?

Can we all agree that Huey Lewis & The News were one of the greatest bands of the 80s and were the main reason that these BTTF movies were successful?
