week in and week out, he has great matchups...but then you get a game like last week's where the NYJ held him to 50 yards or something pitiful like that or davenpoop gets the GL love or big ben throws for 5 TDs...

before you all reply with PTTS, i'm curious what others with FWP are doing. the guy gets 20 touches a game, but having people like hines ward or jennings or marshall on bench is killing me.

yeah he's absolutely killed me this year. Should've kept Palmer instead of him for a bunch of reasons (not that Palmer's been lights out). My first 4 would been:

SJax-Palmer-ADP(!)-Gates

instead of

SJax-Parker-Housh-Gates

Woulda been much better off this season

Are you seriously #####ing about FWP's value in a PPR league?Is there something out there that would suggest to you that he would average more than 2 catches per game?

So i traded Parker - Andre Jhonson

for

LJ - Marques Colston - Kyle Boller - Jay Cutler .

Dynasty league , of course it was before LJ's injury ( Now i am fckd lost LJ and Ronnie Brown )

but that's my point exactly: great matchup so you gotta play the guy because he's sure to get 20 touches, but then you get mediocrity because it's ward or davenpoop or miller or big ben who get all the TDs (and yards)

Many of the problems (as in the lack of TDs) comes from poor offensive line play, but also in the apparent change of philosophy that comes from OC Bruce Arians. With Ken Whisenhunt and OL coach Russ Grimm having dictating the offense, Parker was the main option in the red zone, and the Steelers gave him tons of opportunities to score.

With Arians and Tomlin, the Steelers want to throw in the red zone. They also haven't made Parker a focus in the short passing game (he scored 3 receiving TDs last year also), and that's just killing Parker's production.

Start him with confidence against a Zach Thomas-less Dolphins in Week 12, and the porous Bengal defense in Week 13.

Now NE in Week 14? That's a different story altogether.

Let me see if I can talk you off the ledge here. The Steelers laid an egg last week, you can expect them to play much better on MNF. Forget about fantasy for one second....getting the Phins at home on Monday Night is exactly what this ballclub needs right now. I expect them to dominate this and for Parker to have 20-23 carries and cross the century mark. I wouldn't rely on him scoring a td, but it wouldn't surprise me. I can easily see Dayne have 10 -12 carries for under 50 yards. Unless this week's fantasy game has no meaning to you, you simply can't bench Parker, at home, on Monday Night, against the Dolphins for Ron Dayne. You will never forgive yourself.

It's too bad that it's past the trade deadline because I'd take a ham sandwich for him right now. Pretty bad when Ryan Grant and Earnest Graham are better options. Parker looks like crap this year. I'll need to see something from him before the end of the season before I draft him in any leagues next year. It sort of looks like he has Shaun Alexanderitis.

Im playing him this week, the match up is too good. I know he burned me last week but he is due one of his 135/3 catch/2

TD games. If he fails this week he goes on the bench, but he is gauranteed 20+ carries and that is hard to overlook. If I make it to week 14 (playoff vs NE) than I will bench him for Edge or Lendale based on match up. If FWP sucks again this week he will get benched regardless.

FWP has the 2nd most yards in the league.

Not really all that fun. I would have thought he would score more than 2 TD's so far, though (or however many it is). He has been death in that league.

FWP is RB11 in my league (.1 per yd, .5 per catch, 6 per TD). Did we expect more this year? Certainly. But, it's been a strange year for RB's. Here are the top 10 from my league so far:

Westy, LT, Addai, ADP, Willis, Bush, MB3, Ronnie, Portis, Lynch

Other RB's not making the top-10 cut, due to injury or bad play: LJ (15), Gore (25), SJax (32), SA (34), Maroney (46), Rudi (51). All of these guys were most likely 1st rounders in a 12-team redraft league.

Before we get too excited about FWP's lack of fantasy scoring, let's sit back and look at RB's as a whole. In my league last year, the top RB (LT) had 329.5 pts after week 11. This year, the top RB (Westy) has 236.0 pts. Last year, the top WR (Wayne) had 160 pts after week 11. This year, the top WR (Moss) has 234.2 pts. Tis' the year of the WR in FF.
