I know its prob the wrong forum, but I thought this was real interesting, see below Parking rates for Pats games...$40 Car...CRAZY

General Parking Rates

$40 for cars

$125 for RVs (enter P10)

$125 for Limos (enter P4 from north or P6 from the south)

$200 for buses (enter P10 only)

$40 for motorcycles (one per space)

Any NE season ticket holder feel free to chime in how you feel?? WHAT'S UP WITH THAT???????

One of the reason the parking is expensive is because there is a surcharge on the parking that goes to the state of Massachusetts in order to pay for the road improvements.

Why would they put that on the Pats fans?? Have some toll roads or a motor vehicle tax. That seems like an outlandish fee, and burden, to place on parking for ANY event, let alone parking for a football game, where basicaaly the same people (for the most part) are going for 8-10 times/year.

You don't have to go.
Thats not a fair thing to say. Of course you don't HAVE to go, but people who decide to go because they enjoy it, shouldn't have to pay ridiculous fees to park their car. If by saying "you" don't have to go, if you were reffering to me, I live in NY, a Giants fan, I've never gone. But I do think it's crazy.

Season ticket holder. Yes, it's expensive - but it's a simple matter of supply and demand. We go to watch the most dominant team of this generation play in a brand new stadium (not to mention the entire infrastructure surrounding Foxboro is all newly renovated).

If you want to see outrageous prices you should check out a Sox game, where in spite of 7.50 waters Fenway has been sold out for as long as I can remember.

Massachusetts already has all of those taxes as well. I imagine the road tax is minimal compared to the $40 fee. It's more about the "wonderful" Bob Kraft than anything else. I nearly puke every time I hear announcers say how wonderful Bob Kraft is. He is as slimy & sneaky as the rest of the team. Before Gillette Stadium was built, he played the state of Connecticut like a fiddle. Connecticut wanted the Pats to move to Hartford. They got approval for a stadium. Kraft came down for a big public ceremony to sign a letter of intent. They even had a special season ticket sign up. You could send in $100 deposit for seats when they became available in CT. Thousands of CT residents sent in the $100. All the while, all he was doing was using Connecticut as a lever to get a new stadium in Mass.

that hatred toward the pats is reaching astronomical proportions... shall we talk about the ridiculous hot dog prices as well?

Lets open a new thread about everything bad the Patriots do. This will be fun.

I have no problem paying $40 to park. Kraft built Gillette with his own money, brought a weak franchise into one of the best teams in the past 10 years. They have a premium stadium with new features being built. The Pats won 3 SB's in 5 years and are not done winning. I have no problem splitting $40 between 4 people when I go to a game. I'm glad I don't have to drive to Connecticut.

So quit trying to bring down the team. Jealousy is making you look bad.

It's been that way for years. How much do the rest of the stadiums pay for parking?
pretty much the same I would think, the vikings are right around 40 depending on what lot.
Giants - $15/game The cost for a 2007 season parking permit will be $150, which includes parking permits for two preseason and eight regular season games, $15 per game.

There ya go and what can ya do? It's Massachusetts. Nothing is cheap, nothing! It's a brand new stadium for a team that has no problem selling tickets in one of the most expensive cities in the US. What do you expect?

The Red Sox are charging $50 for green monster seats, which are bleachers not to mention it can cost between $35-80 to park. That's life in the big city.

It's $7.50 for a pretzel. For a ####### pretzel!!@I don't like mustard but after paying $7.50, I am using the whole bottle of mustard just to get my money's worth.

I don't think this is outrageous. Just paid $30 to tailgate at the Bengals game, and we still had to walk to the stadium.

I have NO hate for the PATS. i am a Giants fan, someone pointed out the exorbitant prices for parking at Gillette, I was taken aback how high they are, and wanted to hear what people say. This has nothing to do with the current Pats scandal, just coincidence of the timing.

Parking is high dollar in most cities. Want to bring an RV to the Bolts game, it's $150. You want a good parking spot at the Q, one where you have room to tailgate, it's $750 a season ($75 a game). At least a regular spot is still $20, but the Bolts have like the biggest parking lot of any team in the league, with a crappy POS stadium that's falling down. At least the Pats have a nice facility.

You've apparently never ben up on top of the Green Monster. Bleacher seats they are not. 1) They're actually quite comfortable individual seats with more room than any other seat in the stadium. They could have easily crammed 2x as many seats up there but they didn't. 2) While sections 8-10 (far right) are certainly pretty far from home plate, the first couple sections are VERY close to home... and the vantage point for all the tickets are unlike that of any other stadium... particularly from the front row. 3) The odds of catching a ball up there are exponentially larger than anywhere else in the stadium (except for MAYBE the front few rows of GS1 and GS2.. but there you're smashed into 15" wide wooden seats with the unwashed masses.4) Monster seasts have their own concessions and restrooms.. lines are virually nonexistent.. and even while you're ordering you've still got a great view of the game.

Ravens lots are I think $300 per year (10 games) but only available to season ticket holders. Parking in nearby private lots is also generally $30 or $35 per game, although if you get there early and know where to go, there is some free street parking within less than a mile of the stadium.

That's not high at all. In Detroit there are at least 2 lots near Ford Field that charge $50, 3 lots that charge $40, 4 lots that charge $30 and only one small lot that I know of that charges $20 that's close to the stadium.

No, the bolded part is what you pay to park before you walk in.

I've been on top of the green monster but not to sit in those seats. I know that the view up there is amazing. A friend of mine owns a company that does a lot of work for Fenway. Part of what he does is raises and lowers the American Flag during the game/anthem and he needs a large group of people to raise, lower and handle the flag. While he charges Fenway a few hundred dollars per man hour, he rallies a bunch of guys to go in and do this as volunteers just to experience the game from that perspective. Before the seats were there, we used to go up on the net, lay back and watch the warm ups while dangling over Lansdown Street. Back then, we used to lay there in awe and talk about how they should have seats there.Since they've gone up (the Green Monster Seats), I've never sat there and have had to work the flag from behind the scoreboard (when I do get a chance to get on the list for the flag crew these days).

This doesn't seem like a big issue. I would expect the rates to be somewhere in that neighborhood.
