1-10-GB 22 (5:06) S.Gado right end to GB 30 for 8 yards (B.Simmons; D.O'Neal).

Let the bandwagon begin
I don't see him in the game log on NFL.com
I am watching the game and the announcers said that it was Gado.
No stats for the game, yet in the full play by play:

yea . what gives its not showing up on NFL.com

but someone said they saw him in the game
I can understand a mistake on NFL.com getting a player wrong or something, where I'm confused about is he's on their play by play link, but not the stats.

Gado May Get More Time
It looks like halfback Samkon Gado might get another week on the Packers’ 53-man roster. Sherman elevated Gado from the practice squad the day before last week’s game at Cincinnati and gave him one carry, which Gado turned into an 8-yard gain. Tony Fisher is the starting halfback, and ReShard Lee, Walter Williams and Gado are his backups. Gado played ahead of Williams, who though he signed only last week, was with the Packers last season and through much of training camp. Gado (5-foot-10, 226 pounds) is an undrafted rookie out of Liberty who signed with Kansas City after the draft and was released during training camp. He rushed for 901 yards and a 6.5-yard average per carry as a senior. His 8-yard gain Sunday might have earned him another carry or two this week. “He has some toughness, he can catch the football, he’s smart and he has a willingness to want to be better — that’s a huge one,” Sherman said.

Any Green Bay homers have any other insight on this RB situation? Who has the best chance to be "the man" in Green Bay at the end of the season? (I reallize I am using the term "the man" very loosely in this situation).

If Green Bay falls further out, they may audition Gado for a job next year. Both Ahman and Najeh are FA's, so how great would it be for the Packers if they can let both go and start Gado, while either drafting either one of the big 3 (Gado would go to the backup role), waiting awhile longer and getting a RB in the 2nd or 3rd, or signing a cheaper veteran? Of course, Najeh may be the cheapest guy they can find anyway.

picked up “The Nigerian Nightmare” Samkon Kaltho Gado. Never heard of the guy before, now I'm excited that he's on my team.
I think I got an email about this guy. They wanted my address, checking account info and phone number and promised to provide more info.
I thought it was funny even if nobody else does!
No Way!! Someone snuck a "Lads From Lagos" reference in! - Beeeeautiful

Rick Braun, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers RB ReShard Lee would start at running back Sunday, Nov. 6, if RB Tony Fisher (rib) can't play. If he starts, Lee would be backed up by RBs Walter Williams and Sam Gado. "Whoever we've got, we'll line 'em up," said offensive coordinator Tom Rossley. "We'll go to whoever is healthy and ready to play." Head coach Mike Sherman was asked if he would have to pare down the offense with Lee, Williams and Gado all having relatively little time to learn the system. "Well, certainly it's limiting," Sherman said. "How limiting? They've all run the run plays that we are calling. We've had to limit it going into this thing anyway in case this in fact did happen, so we prepared that way."

Is there any ingo on what the rib injury is? Cracked ribs kept Engram out a month. If it is a similar info then I will pick up both Gado and Lee. If it is nothing that will keep him out for more than 1 game which is against the Steelers, I will pass.

Time for a breath of fresh air in the NFL.Like Wilie Parker when he came out of no where. I read a article about his personal Bio and it was very complimentary about his demeanor and outlook. (no link, sorry).I picked him up in my Dynasty league just in case, the RB situation in GB is unsettled at best so who knows. He's had 1 carry for 8 yds....could have been worst. The Nigerian Nightmare has had a taste of the lollypop, maybe this week he gets more licks!

hey Otis .. you have to move on man ... LOL seriously .. anyways .. Sam Gado is the " lightning in the bottle" he might get a " look see " and run with it .. then again he might be the next Kerry Carter

Does anyone have any idea if there is a particular time that Yahoo adds players to its database? Would like to try and get the jump on picking up Gado once he is added.

:goodposting: in the calling of Gado...I picked him up in 6 leagues thursday when waivers went through, didn't have the nerve to start him, but sure is fun to watch considering they are keeper leagues and 1 dynasty

Gado looked really good. However he didn't look strong enough to break any tackles, and I don't think he had many Yards After Being Hit. He tired out bigtime in the 4th. Once again Sherman blew it with his managing of the game, by not getting Lee in there for more touches. I mean come on, yea Lee fumbled, but geez how many times has Green fumbled? Sherman should have known Gado couldn't go for 20+ carries. Lee can run and should have been used today.

Packersnews.com
Packers running back Samkon Gado, a rookie free agent acquisition, sparked a renewed life on the Packers running game. He was the engine for the offense on its drive down the field.
Fox Sports
Sam Gado finished with 62 yards and one touchdown on 26 carries, and could be Green Bay's featured back next week.
Sam Gado will be fantasy's most popular free-agent pickup. He scored his first NFL touchdown on a 1-yard run. He will likely be Green Bay's featured back. He's rushed 22 times for 57 yards. Tony Fisher doesn't appear to be able to handle the full-time duties, missing this game after last week's 17 carries.
signonsandiego.com
Gado's 62 yards on 26 carries were a season high for the Packers, who are averaging a franchise-worst 72 yards per game.

26carries for 62yards = 2.4ypc = to fat to be a RB
He played the Steelers and the Packers offensive line has been anything but spectacular. He did very well I thought. I was impressed and considering picking him up. Playing against a top defense with a poor o-line and still fought for every yard.

Gado's performance was poor no matter which way you choose to slice it. He didn't even look as good as Jonathan Wells today.

Must not have watched the game. Looking @ the stat line doesn't tell you everything..

AGAINST THE STEELERS - DEFENSE HE DID GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!IF HE GETS 2. WHATEVER A CARRY AGAINST OTHER TEAMS .. OK FINE ..MOVE ALONGBUT AGAINST THE STEELERS RUN DEFENSE .. MORE LIKELY BETTER THAN GREEN WOUDL HAVE DONE

Exactly, it's tough when you're getting hit by 3 or 4 guys at the LOS or 1 or 2 yards later.... He made alot out of nothing several times.... Obviously Sherman liked what he saw or Lee would've been back in.

Gado looked pretty good, given the matchup of his O-line against that defense. He tired out in the end, but I think it was an encouraging performance overall. And, yes, he did look much better than the stats. Ran hard and didn't leave a lot of yards out there.

I watched the entire Packers game, as well as the Houston game. Gado is no Jonathan Wells. Gado had a few nice runs, but his overall performance was quite poor.

AGREED.i thinki calling him a stud...LOL .is a bit early ( you know someone is going to think they just picked up the next droughns ) but against the steelers d. very nice

Either you didn't watch the game or believe he should break 4-5 tackles every time to get a 3 yard gain.

By no means a stud, but looked impressive given the matchup for his 1st game with significant playing time. He could be a decent guy to stash on your roster in case something happens.
