AGAINST THE STEELERS - DEFENSE

HE DID GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!

IF HE GETS 2. WHATEVER A CARRY AGAINST OTHER TEAMS .. OK FINE ..MOVE ALONG

BUT AGAINST THE STEELERS RUN DEFENSE .. MORE LIKELY BETTER THAN GREEN WOUDL HAVE DONE
Exactly, it's tough when you're getting hit by 3 or 4 guys at the LOS or 1 or 2 yards later.... He made alot out of nothing several times.... Obviously Sherman liked what he saw or Lee would've been back in.
:lmao:
Either you didn't watch the game or believe he should break 4-5 tackles every time to get a 3 yard gain.
It would have been nice to see Gado break even ONE tackle. Dude went down like a sack of potatoes at the slightest contact.

This isn't true. He broke a few tackles here and there against a very good tackling team. Overall, I thought he looked a bit overwhelmed. Not very quick. He couldn't deal well with broken plays. Whenever anyone got into his space in the backfield, he looked a bit lost.I think now Sherman knows what he's got in Gado. The test will be what does he do with him next week, knowing what he knows now.

Tried to find a site that showed the broken tackles stat but couldnt find one. Im sure Gado had more than 1, which is all Ming wants.

A 3rd to 4th string RB that was pressed into duty due to injuries.

18 of Gado's 26 carries went for 2 yards or less. Very little tackle breaking on his part and overall a very poor performance.

My point...not many RBs do well against Pittsburgh & Gado compares favorably to all the RBs that Pitt faced this year, as the above stats prove.

Not many RBs rush for over 60 yards & 1 TD against the very tough Pittsburgh D.
Yes, but most of them face 8-man fronts the majority of the time. Somehow I don't think Gado required that to be contained. :lmao:

Nope. The period goes inside the quote marks.

You just made a fool of yourself.
It wasn't a direct quote. I was using the quotations marks for the phrase "a lot". Here is what you are referring too.....

"You just made a fool of yourself."

That is an example of when the period goes inside the quotation marks.

The period goes outside of the quotation mark when using a parenthetical reference.

:hey:  Can we stick to Gado?

Gado definitely was out of shape and shouldn't have gotten 26 carries but it was refreshing to see a guy like him get a shot. I hope he can build on this and put up some nice decent numbers the rest of the way.

GB's schedule isn't so good from here on out... I'll be looking to sell on the hype.

@ ATL

@ PHI

@ CHI

In between the English Lit discussion, it is obvious to anyone with the slightest eye for talent that Gado is the "Real Deal".Or is that "Real Deal."Now you've got me all confusticated

Gado definitely has value if your team has a need, or if you feel the need to block another owner. Speaking of blocking, is there an ignore function on this site? Yao & flawed have never, ever shown me one reason to have to sift through their useless garbage. pfft

I took the time to list every one of Gado's carries today and how much yardage (or LACKTHEREOF) he earned today. Just because the information doesn't support your opinion that Gado is a "hot pickup" does not make it useless. I just love these guys who are always thinking they grabbed a diamond off the waiver-wire in week 9 of the fantasy NFL season.

Mr. Pack, one of my favorite posters, please don't tell me you are one of those Gado man-lovers?

I hate to rain on the Gado parade, but I visited the Packer'w website which shows the three additions mentioned below and Gado still shows on the practice roster.

Packers Add RB Williams To Roster

The Green Bay Packers have added three players to the team's active roster, according to the Packers' official web site.

On the player listing is running back Walt Williams and wide receivers Andrae Thurman and Taco Wallace.

If you read my earlier post no, I'm not. But Gado got the same yardage as every other RB has this year against Pitt., and considering the O-Line hasn't been able to run block this year AT ALL, he did a great job.The kid had a good day. The best a RB has done for the Packers in a few games.

Several of you guys please turn it WAY down.If I get a common complaint, it's threads deteriorating due to bickering that adds nothing. I agree. Please stop.J

Anyone with a clear mind who watched the Packer/Steeler game today could see potential in Gado. Not a STUD, but good solid potential. He tired out late as many others have said but DUH! As many others have pointed out he did this against a good Steeler run defense with a team that has struggled to run with ANY of it's backs. Add the fact the Yao Ming seems to be dead set against him for some reason and you have the underpinnings of a solid option if you need help at the RB position.

The best any packer has rushed all season to be exact.

Exactly what MrPack was trying to say before he rudely got a timeout with no explanation.

Agreed! That's what MrPack was trying to say I believe....ahem

The kid showed some life and definitely ran with some force behind a less than mediocre line. He did not go down easily, kept his feet moving and gave it all he could out there. Whether this was driven from adrenaline from starting his first NFL game or not will show next week. Against a top 5 run defense, he looked solid and showed confidence. One thing I do know is that the coaching staff has been high on him and he likely will get his chance to show what he's got for the remainder of the season.
