All I wrote was that he was a one-hit wonder.
Actually Fla\/\/ed after the Packers ~ vs ~ Steelers game (Gado's first game by the way) you wrote a lot more than that.
Gado=One Hit Wonder
Have you not seen the manlove for Gado by some people here?
I'm a proud member of the Anti-Gado Man-Love Club.
please don't tell me you are one of those Gado man-lovers?
Everyone wants to think they found a diamond in the rough with Gado but he will be just another Rondell Mealey.
Now remember Fla\/\/ed, you wrote all of the above after only ONE GAME from Gado.
Then after last week, some were quick to blast me as owned. I wasn't going to respond to that because is was laughable to see that written so prematurely.
So let me see if I've got this right Fla\/\/ed. After seeing Gado for only ONE GAME, your comments on Gado were neither laughable nor premature, but after seeing Gado for TWO GAMES, other peoples comments suddenly became laughable & premature?

Yeah rrrrighttt. Spin it baby! :lmao:
Huh? Where did I write anything about someone being owned after this week?I didn't. Is there some Gado Cult that you people are a member of?

Again, here we go with the owned signs. WTF is with the Gado Cult? I DIDN'T CLAIM TO OWN ANYONE AFTER GADO's PERFORMANCE MONDAY NIGHT.Why is that so hard to understand?

Certainly glad I didn't pay any attention to the Dynamic Duo Gado haters, Fla\/\/ed & Yao Ming
Man, those guys did hate Gado. But I'm ready for some Gado, some Monday Night Gado!
Here are the highlights, I love it!Fla\/\/ed

Gado=One Hit Wonder

I watched the game and I'm a proud member of the Anti-Gado Man-Love Club.

(Previously Posted: Sherman knows what he has in Gado) --> A 3rd to 4th string RB that was pressed into duty due to injuries.

What is also amusing is that if Ahman Green averaged 2.3 yards a carry against Pitt we would have multiple threads about how worthless he is

His yards per carry were not above average. If Ahman Green put up those numbers yesterday people would be complaining again that he was a bust.

Everyone wants to think they found a diamond in the rough with Gado but he will be just another Rondell Mealey.

Please remember it took Gado 26 carries to get to 62 rushing yards.

Yao Ming

Gado's performance was poor no matter which way you choose to slice it. He didn't even look as good as Jonathan Wells today.

I watched the entire Packers game, as well as the Houston game. Gado is no Jonathan Wells. Gado had a few nice runs, but his overall performance was quite poor.

It would have been nice to see Gado break even ONE tackle. Dude went down like a sack of potatoes at the slightest contact

18 of Gado's 26 carries went for 2 yards or less. Very little tackle breaking on his part and overall a very poor performance.

Yes, but most of them face 8-man fronts the majority of the time. Somehow I don't think Gado required that to be contained.

The Nigerian looks "gassed" all the time. Did you notice the bloated belly on that chap?

Oh boy, that's what you get for talking Gado down to EVERYBODY without even considering the situation. You were set against Gado from the get-go without looking at the entire situation (Poor O-Line, 1st significant playing time, limited time with team, Great Run Def.) Take it down a notch next time and it won't be so embarrassing. Cheers! :banned:
Here is an example of some of the abuse thrown out my way after last week. I sure didn't see anything like that from me this week.

For the life of me, I don't see one referrence to "owned" in that quote. Reading comprehension skills aren't your strong suit are they Fla\/\/ed?

Hmmmm..........32 points from Gado last week. Let me think about that for a secon....nah....I don't need a second to think about it.

Yep, when I wrote that I was very glad I paid you guys no attention.

You are a moron.I'm sorry(to the mods) to write that but you may want to check your own thread from above where you agreed with the "owned" sign after the Atlanta game. You have been the one spewing the smack, son.

You were the one to quickly point out that you thought I was wrong about Gado. I did nothing like that this week to try and back up that I was right because IT IS TOO EARLY!

You're being obtuse on purpose, aren't you Fla\/\/ed?Name calling and referring to me as "son" does not change the above quote, to where "owned" magically appears bolded for you.

What does remain in the above quote, is how after ONE WEEK you had an awful lot of Gado comments, which for some reason or another, were neither premature nor laughable, yet after TWO WEEKS, other peoples comments suddenly became both premature & laughable.

Your words, not mine.

But keep on keeping on Spin Doctor :lmao:

You really have no clue, do you? I gave my opinions on Gado and I stand by them. I'm not convinced he has the tools to be a starter in the NFL, let alone be a backup. You are one of the clowns that tried to talk smack last week with the owned comments. I have not done that. It is too early to determine how Gado will pan out. After two weeks you were pointing the finger at me. Deal with it, slick.

Oh, and it was premature and laughable for anyone to throw out owned comments last week or this week or next week.

By the way, what do you mean "magically" appeared? :loco:

No spin here, but you may want to look into some protective headgear. :football:

Like you trying to say Gado was only depth for you. :excited: You were like this over Gado :pickle:
 Wake me up when you come up with some fresh material if you can guy. This is three days stale now.
Where is Big Score? Probably having a nervous break down after Sam Gado's pathetic performance last night. Poor, very poor.
More like a nervous breakdown because of Steven Jacksons pathetic showing against the Cards.I already told you Gado was RB depth for me.

Remember?

Here, let me refresh your faulty memory for you Yao.

And if you are so giddy about Gado then the rest of your team was probably piss-poor and is out of the running. Kudos.
Wrong AGAIN.S Jax & Portis anchor the RB's of my team

You're right el-gato-grande. Even though Yao's like one of those bad car wrecks where you don't want to look, but can't help yourself, I need to just go ahead and put Yao on ignore.

Can't you guys just get over it? The two of you have turned this thread into a arguement. Please continue your bashing via PM's. All you have done is taken up a ridiculous amount of space and basically contributed to nothing in the long run. Please continue it somewhere else.

The coach has not said Gado will lose his starting spot. He got benched for his fumbling. Fumbling is a correctable problem. Therefore, it is feasible he will keep his starting job.

give this kid an offseason to work on the fumbling, a few games under his belt and a gatorade bottle of talent and he might actually not be all that terrible. His instincts seemed terrible, his ball handling worse but the kid's got heart... and that is enough for me to continue to sit here while I wait for Gado..

Tell that to Reshard Lee...

Tell that to Tiki Barber. He might stop lubing up his arms, then again he may not. I think he's premature to drop him.

gdb people on radio saying "i've been saying all along that Samkon Gado isn't an NFL caliber running back. i knew he was no good."NO KIDDING!??!they must be different from the millions who said Gado would lead the NFL in rushing this season. seriously, i thought he was Jim Brown combined with Barry Sanders. :wall:

Only at FBGs could we possibly have a 16 page thread on a non-entity like Gado.

:lmao:
If only it were actually about Gado. At least the R.Lee thread stayed somewhat on topic for a year and a half and it still got moved to the FFA. This thing is just a GD flame war driven primarily by F & Y and it's an embarrassment to the site.

I've seen teams give up a 1st rd pick for Gado :lmao: after his one good game. I'm not going to sit here and bash Gado, because who knows, he could still be a diamond in the rough. However, giving up a 1st rd pick in a dynasty league for him, was IMO, too much. Kind of reminds me of a trade in one of my leagues about 3 years ago, where a guy gave up a 1st rd pick for Craig Nall, when there was speculation about Favre retiring. Of course I'm not immune to bad trades either. A couple years ago I gave up Priest Holmes for peanuts, when there was speculation that Holmes' hip would cause him to retire. Boy, was I wrong about that one. If there is one thing I learned from that, and that is not to overreact to good news or bad news.

"Gado may keep starting job: Running back Samkon Gado said he believes there’s a good chance he will start Sunday’s game at Philadelphia, as long as he finishes the week with strong practices.

There had been speculation Gado might lose the job after he fumbled against the Vikings. It was his third fumble in the last two games, although the Packers recovered all three.

Tony Fisher likely will remain the third-down back.

“I’ll speculate that, yeah, I will (start), because I’ve been getting in there first in the base package,” Gado said.

Gado rushed for 103 yards on Nov. 13 against Atlanta, the team’s only 100-yard performance this season.

“I will say the coaches have been very patient with me,” Gado said. “But I don’t think it would be good for me to fumble again.”

"Sherman said he hasn’t lost confidence in Gado.

“I think he’ll get better. I’ve never met such a conscientious young man about it. He works at it constantly,” Sherman said. “That’s part of it. I don’t see anything in his running style, necessarily (that would lead to fumbles). Some guys are kind of loose with it that way. He’s not that way. I think it’s something he can correct.”

I love this quote of Gado;

“But I don’t think it would be good for me to fumble again.”

Gee whiz, ya think so Gado? :lmao:

Go back and see exactly who drove the attacks after the Atlanta game. It sure wasn't F & Y.

Packers | Gado plans to startFri, 25 Nov 2005 16:00:21 -0800The Associated Press reports Green Bay Packers rookie RB Samkon Gado said he's preparing to make his third straight start Sunday, Nov. 27. Head coach Mike Sherman said a final determination won't be made until Saturday, Nov. 26, though he suggested that he will stick with Gado in the featured role. "He hasn't done anything this week in practice to disappoint me," Sherman said. Gado took most of the reps with the starters in the base offense and didn't put the ball on the ground once.

Lee Remmel, team historian for the Packers and someone who has followed the team as a reporter or club official for 60 years, ranks the most memorable one-game wonders in franchise history.

1 - Chuck Mercein

2 - Don Horn

3 - Samkon Gado

4 - Anthony Dilweg

5 - Jim Bob Morris
Jim Bob won me the FF championship back in '57, we submitted our lineups by smoke signals in those days. Back then sharks were called Megalodons.

Must have been a different Jim Bob. Jim Bob Morris' one game wonder came in 1987.

Keep this on Gado and on news about his prospects here going forward. Pissing and moaning and generally being a ##### to others won't work if you'd like to keep posting here. TIA.J
