Will he get another chance at some point? I mean, somebody has to be the running back there, right? Is Fisher really the guy from here on out?

Eddie George is waiting for a phone call.. he said he feels he's getting black balled cuz he can't even get a workout..

About the only league I have him in, I have him starting over Reuben Droughns. :bag: But hey, Ron White traded me Droughns for Fred Taylor straight up last week, so I'm happy about that... ;)

I love all the Monday night quarterbacking going on other here. MIN def is not exactly the best one out there, and GB is playing at home. No-one is drinking any cool aid, Gado has been averaging 14+ points per game so far, and had a good match up. FBGs correctly expected him todo well, and so did many other FF sites and FF owners, but he has failed reasonable expectations. So this gives a bunch of cocky clueless FF owners, the right to come up after the fact and start saying I told you so. It is funny how I never read any posts saying I was wrong for projecting player xyz to do bad.

he's done. the Pack only needs one guy turning the ball over multiple times a game, and since they already have Favre...

But hey, great job trading away quality players and/or draft picks for him guys. Way to pull yourself together there. My scouting report? He can run in between holes that are a mile wide and has fumbling issues. That's my scouting report.

Picked him up last week, started him this week, most likely dumping him next week. A ####ty way to spend $10 on transactions...

Come on now people, why you surprised. I've heard people starting Gado over McGahee, Anderson, R. Brown, T. Jones, J. Jones, K. Jones, Drougns, Dunn, Caddy, W. Parker, C. Brown, L. Jordan, T. Bell, Portis, Westbrook, both Barbers, Rudi J, D. Davis and M. Moore........

If you go back and look at many posts this past week you'll see the Kool Aid drained peoples common sense this past week. All I could think of Gado was the A. Smith comparision after his hot week.
Speaking of which, I started Gado over A. Smith which seems to be pretty much a wash.

Well if they don't sign someone it'll either be Gado or Fisher.

Minnesota rush defense was ranked #26. Admittedly, the Vikes played terrible on D early in the season. But the ranking doesn’t reflect the marked improvement the team has shown after the bye week 5. The Vikings have given up more than 100 yards to a single back since Warrick Dunn did it in week 4. Green Bay ran for less than 50 yards in the first game despite being up 17-0 at the half. Today, GB backs ran for 21 yards total. I am not saying that Minnesota won’t get burned for more than a 100 next week - just don’t let the rankings fool you.

Well I guess he is just a journeyman RB in the right place at the right time last week. Fumbling in the NFL will make you a special teamer real fast. It is a good story, but he will not carry the ball for the Pack after this train wreck season.

What is it with the "fumble" talk? I didn't see the game, but after reading this thread I expected to look at the boxscore and see three lost fumbles for Gado. Unfortunately it shows just one fumble, which was recovered by a Packer. The 10-7 is disturbing, but Fisher didn't exactly explode.

There is your problem, guy. Nice sample size. The problem is the damned hysteria around here about a player who had 1 or 2 good games in his whole career.

People also think that a player can come in rested and think they are in starter shape off the bench.. He isn't used to playing 60mins of football every week. The fade is expected.. There is a reason coaches turn to vets when it comes to RB's.. Gado is a nice short term pick up but I saw nothing in him last night that impressed me.

It was a fumble he shouldn't have lost if he had the ball tucked away properly. His elbow came away from his body and the ball popped out far too easily. He also dropped an easy pass on a 5 yard out route. As a Gado owner, who watched the previous 2 Packer games ( and who also started him last night) I expected him to look better than he did last night. He just couldn't get anything done. He was routinely stopped behind the line and couldn't get to the outside when he tried.Fisher wasn't great either, but he wasn't stopped for no, or negative yardage, nearly as much as Gado and was pretty effective as a receiver. With Philly on deck, and 2 games against Chicago, I have a feeling Gado will not be seeing a start in all but the most desperate of situations for us fantasy owners. Is the Atlanta rush D, really THIS bad?

IIRC, he's had 4 fumbles in 2 games. FWIW, Ahman Green didn't look good this year either, I doubt anyone short of Tomlinson would be able to do much consistently behind that line. Assuming he's healthy, Gado will get in the games, there just aren't other options at this point, unless Clarett is ready to go ;)

The Caddy who can't get jack vs anybody had almost 120 yards. So I think the answer is yes they are that bad.. They are 22nd in YPG but the biggest stat is the YPC which is 4.6 and thats 29th.

Tony Fisher - RB - Packers

Tony Fisher could re-emerge as Green Bay's starting running back because of Sam Gado's fumbling problems.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette believes Gado will stay on the bench after dropping the ball again on Monday night. We're not so sure Mike Sherman won't give Gado another shot. Nov. 22 - 1:38 pm et

Oh, and Gado looked like cow dung on Monday Night Football. 10 carries for 7 yards. :lmao:

He looked horrible last night. HESITANT and slow. So, he has some power, I guess, but what does that get you when you're stopped 3 yards in the backfield? Maybe the line of scrimmage...

Needs a line who can block ..even Ahman couldnt run behind that line.

I realize that, but his decisions were awful. He doesn't have the quickness to wait or reverse direction, and that's what he was doing.

Now I know why I picked him up a couple weeks ago and dropped him on the same day. However, I could have used his production last week. :bag:

Where is Big Score? Probably having a nervous break down after Sam Gado's pathetic performance last night. Poor, very poor.

More like a nervous breakdown because of Steven Jacksons pathetic showing against the Cards.I already told you Gado was RB depth for me.

Remember?

Here, let me refresh your faulty memory for you Yao.

And if you are so giddy about Gado then the rest of your team was probably piss-poor and is out of the running. Kudos.
Wrong AGAIN.S Jax & Portis anchor the RB's of my team

Gado looked bad last night. He wasn't helped by some awful line play, but he still looked bad. Fisher also looked bad so it'll be interesting to see what Sherman does now. It's not like Fisher outplayed Gado by a large margin or did anything of real merit to get the starting job back. However, Gado's fumbling issues may be enough for Fisher to regain his starting job. Of course, given the Packers' schedule the rest of the way, it may not matter who's starting at RB for them; it's going to be very tough going on the ground for Green Bay from here on out.
