Galloway's value going forward? (1 Viewer)

Quick thoughts...

What do you all think of Joey Galloway going forward? The rookie QB hurts, but he is accurate and the team will ALWAYS be behind (they may as well break out the Orange Uniforms)

I can't get a feeling on this guy as a buy, sell or hold? Any thoughts?

Who knows, he's got 2TDs and is averaging 9 targets a game. His value isn't all that great right now, I'm holding until I see more.

I don't own him but seems like a hold to me ... I don't think his value has increased OR decreased much this season ...

Maybe I should rephrase: Is he a buy low?
If the owner is scared about the new QB situation, then yes you may be able to get him low. If so, then I would say give it a shot. I was thinking of doing it myself, but it all depends on the perception the owner has of him.

I'd say he is a hold or buy cheap if you can. He had 8 targets last week

and was looked to in the redzone. Usually a rookie QB will look to the proven

veteran.

Somebody in my league was after him and I think I'm going to try and steer him to another of my receivers.

I own Galloway in a ppr league. If you were going to buy low, last week would have been a better time to do it. Now that I know he will be targeted I'm much less likely to sell him low. I think he's a hold and doubt you will get him on the cheap.

Just for comparison's sake, I bought him low last week from the Ahman Green owner for Verand Morency. This, of course, was before Galloway had his nice game and Morency was benched for Herron.

I look at this like the Jimmy Smith - David Gerrard situation of last year. As mentioned above, when a new QB comes into the game, he tends to look for an established veteran as his 'go-to' guy. I'm betting that we see a similar situation with Galloway - Gradkowski this season.

I'm looking for him to be a decent WR2 / excellent WR3 from here on out.

I took a great deal of grief this off season because I kept Galloway over Chambers this off season (chambers 8% of budget, Galloway >1%).

The only thing that will hold Galloway back will be Gradkowski. But considering that in his first start Galloway was over 100 yards and a touch, and the O as a whole looked much better then it had over the first 4 games I think it's time to hold. If I didn't already own Galloway, I would target him as a good value but would wait a week or two to make sure the that Gradkowski can do the job for another week or two before I made any offers.

Hold with an eye towrds buying in the week or two.

I sold in one league. I got Driver for him and Morency (this week) so I think I got a pretty good return. I'm thinking of trying to buy in a couple of other leagues, though - I still think he'll be solid moving foward.

I don't like Gradkowski against the Cincinnati secondary. I'd try to sell high with Galloway if there's a market (and last week's numbers should present one).

I dont think anyone looks really good against Cincy's secondary... partly because everyone runs all day on them.

Buy Galloway cheap while you can.As for this week: Cinci will more than likely roast the Tampa D, which will mean that Tampa will have to throw the ball a lot. Start Galloway if you have him.....10+ targets this week is in his future!
