That game more than any other typified the Bears SB run. Grossman does everything he can to make the other team win, yet the defense and special teams pull a miracle out of their butts and squeak by with a win. Only now do I truly appreciate the blinders that winning can give you, as I actually thought that type of winning was sustainable.
The game confirmed the things I thought I remembered.
1 - Urlacher made like what, 30 tackles?
2 - The Cards handed the ball to James on EVERY first down in the fourth quarter. (Thus the Urlacher show.)
3 - The Bears didn't start playing well till the offense stopped going on the field. Seriously. After Grossman threw his last pick, the Bears O did not take the field again till the kneeldowns after Rackers missed.
Oh, but what an excruciating game to watch. TERRIBLE offensive football by both teams.
