Well, I'm assuming that the Dornish Prince is gay in the books. If that's the case, they're just following along and I can't really blame them for that. It does seem kind of unnecessary to have another gay character who also happens to be a world class warrior (isn't Lloras enough?) but maybe it has some sort of story impact down the road.

I just hope they don't go all Vito Sopranos here and dedicate a whole subplot this season.
