When you read the thread from the beginning, they do stand out. You know what else stands out? The fact that those genuine question(s) went unanswered by the OP

I do this on occasion. The difference is, it isn't my go to right out of the gate. 99% of the time there is a trail of posts trying to have a genuine discussion. I'm not perfect, never claimed to be. And you'llSo Commish is trying to call out people foryet he does that as well.
about it not being different because your preformed position before even engaging doesn't allow you to acknowledge it, but most in this forum agree that it's ok to in jest occasionally once it's clear the conversation isn't going to go anywhere. And my is NEVER a personal attack.And FWIW, I have called exactly zero people out....that is intentional, but I see it doesn't stop you from attempting to attack that particular straw man as if it were the truth.

Do you consider the title of that thread to be trolling? It seems to me that it was crafted to elicit a response from Trump haters. Would you agree? And, no, this isn't "whataboutism"....there is clearly trolling of the OP in that thread, no question.
And I really am interested in the issues you have with my selection of threads as evidence that business started picking up again. Do you feel they aren't good examples or something?

No, I don't consider "Trump dominates at the UN" to be trolling. The only way you would is if you think the forum should be anti-Trump.

Fair enough. I read the title and knew exactly what was going to be said and I suspect that RBM did too and it's why he crafted it that way in lieu of something like "Trump's First UN Speech" or some such. IMO, it's tough to see how the title isn't trolling, yet the replies are. They all seem to be of the same quality and usefulness to me. The irony, of course, is the legit questions that had any hope of spurring productive conversation went ignored.
We had a good couple of weeks. Level of discussion is still much better now that we can have multiple threads and a certain group of trolls is usually only in one or two threads at a time.The Commish said:I know you're right, but this new shtick is sort of like the old LHUCKS shtick, but worse. All of those threads are people trying to one up each other. You wouldn't think a thread about Trump pledging to donate money to charity after a hurricane would create the crap it did either. Trump creates plenty of other opportunities for that stuff.
I also don't think the thread starter automatically goes on trial and is responsible for addressing questions in his own thread. Which is what Roadkill was suggesting he banned for.

My comments were/are specific to the UN speech thread. The reality is, we can't ignore the history of the posters here. We can't. What we CAN do is allow for our perceptions to change should their actions warrant it. But few here do that, which is unfortunate. Personally, it's completely illogical to me for someone to care enough to start a thread and then not engage in said thread. That makes zero sense to me, but that's one man's opinion. I've seen many here and thought it weird every single time. Just reeks of stirring the pot IMO.
Agree on the Trump pledge thread, though if I am being honest when I read the title, the first thought in my mind was "I'll believe it when I see it" specifically because of Trump's prior behavior. I'm an actions over words person anyway, but he's at Hillary level trust with me which is unfortunate. When I came into the thread "I'll believe it when I see it" was the popular position and we were all called trolls for taking the position. Being skeptical based on history isn't analogous with being a troll. Most who took that position also acknowledged the good deed once it was established it was going to happen, but somehow that's still being a troll. Convenient for some, annoying to me, but whatever.

I notice that a handful of these are jokes, and I found fatguy's to be particularly funny. Telling a joke is not trolling.
