Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (3 Viewers)

Ok, that came a little quicker than expected (cercei)
In a show with dragons and many faced gods and etc the most unbelievable thing going is a few score of religious fanatics took over "the new kings landing" and started locking up some elite players with impunity.
They represent the many. Remember when Tommen and a few Kings guard went to go speak with the high sparrow and his guys wouldnt let them in and said he was praying. The soldiers start to unsheath their swords and the entire community kinda stood up and looked like they were gonna revolt. Appears these guys have the support of the people.

I get it. The whole plot just seems off to me compared to the rest of the run of the show. Besides isn't the Queen supposed to be beloved by the people?

Maybe but these zealots are the people. Out there feeding and clothing them. Also, it's not unheard of for the head of religion to be more powerful than Kings in medieval Europe, which this show is kinda based on. Pope had infinite power back then.

Am i remembering correctly that they have signed on for a 6th season already?
I thought 7 was the generally accepted run. I hope it's that way. We need to start working toward the endgame here.
Gotcha. Thought i heard they want 7, but have officially signed up for 6. Just hoping the decreasing viewers doesn't effect that and prohibit them from telling the story they want to tell.
:lmao:
All I am saying is if the ratings and grumbling continue it might have an effect going forward. Cancelled? Hell no, but if it makes them go 7 seasons not 8, go 8 episodes not 10, etc....
HBO wants as many seasons as possible. The showrunners want 7. GRRM wants 7 plus a movie finale
Movie finale? I hope that doesn't happen.

GRRM thought that would be the best way to pull everything off effects wise. However im sure HBO is against it

Inside Stannis' head this episode:

We are gonna bone again...

We are gonna bone again...

We are gonna bone again...

WTF!? You want me to sacrifice my daughter!?

Better episode overall, a few thoughts...

- just get it right out the way, my sand snake moved. She's up there with Missandei, Dany, and Robb's wife who I always liked.

- Religious fanatic storyline is weak - one of the weakest the show has told and I hope it's self-contained in this season.

- it's been 2 years since I've found anything Dany has done interesting, hoping that's about to pick up.

- Jon Snow has become the best character and story on the show, I didn't think I'd ever see that.

- How long are Brienne and Podrick going to hang out? It's obviously been a while since they've gotten to wherever they are. Move on in. Also that woman getting flayed was brutal. Sansa has bad luck with men, being setup with the two biggest psychopaths in the world.

I agree with this 100%. I remember when her story was the most exciting of the show, and now it's literally meh.

By far the best sand snake scene yet.
Serious question - Did that scene have a plot point? So distracted by the boobies that I wasnt paying attention to anything else.
Was there anything else? Oh yes, there was... some nice legs and the wish that it the clothes kept coming off.
She showed Bronn her sandbox but an unfortunately placed camera denied us a first-hand view of that Vista.

About the time she quit getting naked.

i didn't hate last night's episode (The Gift) but that was some pretty lazy story telling:

- Jon off to save Wildlings, San hands him dragonglass. gosh, i wonder what's gonna happen?

- here's some [amazing] bewbs as a narrative device to show how Bronn got poisoned. oh, and here's the antidote.

- Ghost as eucatastrophe

- Jorrah as a crappy, more pathetic Maximus

- Tyrion, meet Deus Ex Machina

- [paraphrase] "I LOVE HIM, and I'm going to marry him!"....seemed like they needed that scene to show Jamie was still alive?

i was a fan of Sansa/Reek interaction, as it shows just how broken Theon really is.

I think I'm going to need to watch those boobs on HBOGo a few more times before I decide what I thought about the episode.

Also liked watching the interplay between Sansa and Ramsey - when Sansa thought she was playing the game, only to find out she has no idea how to play this game.

This is the realization she is not coming to... yet. The game she thinks she's good at is nothing compared to how the real game is played. Whether she realizes this sooner or later is yet to be determined but her "training" has not taught her much. Will Arya go through similar trials?

A mirror to Cersei? Seems like both thought they knew what they were doing/getting into.

I was expecting that to be more poison or something that accelerates the current poison.
nah the Sand Snakes have nothing against a sell sword. Why let hi die at this point? Maybe they can use him to escape.
True. I have missed some scenes in the last couple weeks since our dvr is dead. How did Jamie and Bronn get separated?
they were captured during the xena fight. Bronn got tossed in a jail cell and Jamie is a lannister so he's free

There wasn't a scene showing it. They were captured together but are being held separately. Gotta maintain public relations with Jamie and the Lannisters but throw the sell-sword in the dungeon.
