Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (3 Viewers)

I scan over the book thread just to see reactions to the show after it airs.. It's tricky to do but possible to avoid spoilers there.

Martin didn't really need to make me want Joffrey dead any more than I did before the episode, but still fulfilling nonetheless.

Because it was the original got thread and I had posted in there. I was on my phone and clicked on it by mistake because it had a star on it and scrolled down to the last post. Thankfully It wasn't some huge event or anything that ruined the whole story for me or anything. If something happens tonight, I'll explain.

Yeah... someone said something about some purple stuff in a cup at the wedding....... too bad for me I saw that coming.

That had to be the Fool who did it?

I think it was Sansa. No spoiler here, I have no clue.

 
It could be anyone. As they panned the crowd during his speech/dwarf reenactment, the crowd was full if people that wanted him dead.

 
It was the fool. Why else would he say come with me if you wanna live. I know its source material but i wanted his death to be a little more vengeful. Still awesome nonetheless and shocking. This show is amazing

Maybe he knows something. Haven't they said before that poison is a woman's weapon?

yeah i guess reading the comments above its not definitely him. I take too much stuff at face value when first watching lol

I read an article... apparently it depends on where you are born. In the south a ******* is Sand (Like the red vipers girl). In the north it's snow. In the woods its woody or something.

Just northern bastards. Each region gives them a different last name (the chick hanging with the Dornish prince is named "Sand").

This has been covered on several occasions, most notably Jon Snow's long explanation of why he didn't plow Roz.

The only reason why I think it's the fool is because he seemed to think something was about to happen. That said as someone already said it was a who's who of people in the previous shot who wanted him dead.

 
I don't think any of the Tyrells would be involved, since the marriage wouldn't have been consummated.

My money's on the fool at this point.

Although an interesting thought just occurred to me...gonna have to chew on this for a while.

 
So freaking awesome.

Even before the big finish that was such a good episode. Acting and dialogue all around was off the charts.

 
So now Tommen (who's had all of 4 lines in the past 3 years) is technically King. (even though he's just another one of Jamie's bastards) Sets up some interesting dynamics. By all accounts, he's the exact opposite of Joffrey (not a ####) and will probably be easier for Cersei to control. However, he also seems to like Tyrion. So is Tyrion now in a better position? (assuming he beats the rap for allegedly killing Joffrey) Kinda hard to tell.

Not sure what Lady Tyrell has to gain from killing Joffrey. Yeah, Margery married him, but without any kids, you'd think it would be easy for the Lannisters to just push the Tyrells to the side.

I can't imagine the Tyrells will just be pushed aside.... they had a lot invested in this wedding. Maybe a Tyrell and Martell alliance if it goes down like that?

 
It had to be the pie that actually poisoned Joffrey and not the wine, right? They seemed to do a lot of camera lingering on both the pie itself and then Joffrey eating it.

 
I think they did that to show that he purposefully killed some birds in the pie with his overly aggressive sword strike. :shrug:

I was thinking the same. She gets back in power, the next king is one that hasn't shoved her to the side like Joffrey did, and she gets rid of Tyrion.

Problem is there's no way she (or anyone really) could have set up that wine thing with Tyrion. It was all Joffrey's doing.

 
Moment lost in a great episode..... the shot of going from Theon (or should I say Reek) to the pork Sausage.
