Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (2 Viewers)

I was wondering about this as well.  After the Red Wedding there would have to have been some bloodshed between the Freys and the Tullys.

Where else are some of these people supposed to see boobs?  Evidently lots of people don't have access to seeing boobs on TV or anywhere else.
Wait.... you can see boobs elsewhere on TV?! What is this magic you speak of?! :excited:

What ever happened to Walder Frey? He still kicking? Needs to get revenge on Ramsey for killing his daughter and grandchild.
Uh.... no.... howabout the Stark's and Tully's need revenge for him killing Robb, Cat and pretty much all of the north and throwing the Lord of the Riverlands in a dungeon on his wedding night?

There could be one final uprising and Dany unleashes all three of the dragons on them, she wins and then leaves for good, perhaps leaving Grey Worm and Missandei in charge (just spitballing). I keep going back to the limited amount of time we have left and the belief that at some point she has to get to Westeros so the story can't keep her in Meereen for too much longer I wouldn't think.
The dragons are nice weapons but I thought the one that saved Dany from the Sons of Harpy was struggling against maybe 20 or so of them armed with spears.   I am not sure how well the dragon s would hold up against an entire army.

I will start by saying that I am not an expert in using Dragon's in medieval style warfare. That being said, I would assume the best way to use them against an Army would be to fly by them breathing fire down on them and flying away, coming in for another swoop later.

When Drogon is saving Dany and friends- he is a sitting duck... or sitting dragon and couldn't breath everything on fire or Dany's friends would be toasted.

Just thinking that through.

They get bigger, you know.

Plus, for some reason (guessing just for plot movement reasons, as they needed to necessitate an escape and the whole Dothraki plot that followed) it decided to land on the ground. If it had kept flying, it wouldn't have gotten stuck with a bunch of throwing spears. Even if they don't grow anymore, 3 of them dive-bombing from the sky breathing fire would be pretty devastating. No archer is keeping their composure and landing any sort of shot on them with that going on.

Would be an odd strategy to land your dragon in the middle of an arena during a battle.

Should probably consult Larry_Boy on dragon war strategies.

An army with archers and catapults might be able to defeat the dragons without them landing.  Something made them die out to the point that they were thought to be extinct.

ETA:  After reading the GoT wiki I see that a volcanic eruption killed the majority of them in the Valyrian empire but not all died

We know there's a battle with the white walkers still to come and that would seem to be the biggest one and perhaps the final one. We anticipate Jon fighting Ramsay. At some point Dany will likely try to take over King's Landing. Then you have the Sparrow/Lannister-Tyrell battle to come plus whatever might happen with Dorne vs. Lannister and the Greyjoy stuff. Lotta fights to get to in a short period of time on the show.
Half of these probably don't end up happening and, if they do, may just happen off screen.

Remember the first big battle all they showed was Tyrion getting knocked out.  Virtually the entire Stark/Lannister war happened off screen.  And then there was the Stannis vs. Winterfell battle which was teased for like a season and a half and then by the time Stannis limped in there it was little more than a formality.

I imagine several of these battles still hanging out there will get thrown for a loop before they happen.

It's pretty clear that Drogon is not your 'average' dragon either.  Once he gets through puberty I expect to see something like the second coming of Balerion.

Possible, but the GoT budget has increased substantially since the early seasons. They can show a lot more if they want to.

I think at this point its more of a time thing than a money thing. They've got about 20 episodes left (according to their current plans), I doubt they use 1/3 to 1/2 of them on battles. There's too much other stuff to cover.

Battle at Blackwater they showed, quite a bit.

It was one of the highest budget scenes for a long time.

Yeah I don't know what they all show but those are all in potential play based on the events that have happened to this point. I would think all will need a conclusion of some kind and again we're down to a limited number of episodes to get all this in. That's why I'd be surprised if Dany, for example, spent much more time in Meereen. I think she needs to get going to Westeros. The clock's ticking.

Tyrion said they made them captive and they all turned into cats and died out.

Usually well placed Tesla's, Air Sweepers, Air Defenses and Xbows on ground & air will do the trick.

Wasn't he on Arya's list? Me thinks Arya does him in at some point or his house or something.
If Arya doesn't get a move on then the only person she will get to cross of her list from her own hands will be Ser Trant and the Lannister soldier who took Needle.

Last time Arya was reciting her list she wasn't getting very far. I wonder if that's part of her becoming No One - forgetting about her list. That would be a bummer. But I admit I'm against her losing her identity as a Stark so I'm hoping that doesn't end up completely happening.

When the BBC adapted The Tripods, a science fiction trilogy in the 80s, the show was inexplicably cancelled after the second season, despite being quite popular. The writers and actors were informed near the end of filming the second season. Everyone was bitter, so they wrapped it up by having the aliens win, destroying humanity.

Sounds like I spend too much time on the wrong forum.
it really is amazing the level of devotion these nerds will go through to prove that Swamp Thing could defeat Superman or things like that.  they'll literally scan in comic book pages that show some sort of proof of that character being able to perform that type of feat

Don't the comic book authors change how strong someone/something is whenever they feel like it?

Spoiler alert ### hole.

Can Daenerys even summon or control her dragons yet? Does she ever get that ability? Use spoiler tag if need be. Not sure if that's a big spiiled or not.

Don't know if she can summon them but based on last season it would appear they can sense when she's in danger. Or at least Drogon can.

I must be getting old.....I was way more interested in how the burning building was falling in on itself than the bewbs.

Unpossible no matter how wild the writer's imagination.

According to Tyrion, they're quite intelligent. I'm guessing that they'd be pretty obedient to their 'friends'.

This is how Scrubs went out, too.
