Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (14 Viewers)

Sorry but not Sansa.

Joffrey: DEAD
Cersei: Alive
Walder Frey: DEAD
Meryn Trant: DEAD
Tywin: DEAD
Red Woman: Alive
Beric Dondarrion: Alive
Thoros: Alive
Ilyn Payne: Alive
The Mountain: Alive (sort of)
The Hound: Alive
The Hound is no longer on her list and I don't believe a lot of those names are actually on her list.  When she kept going over the list before she went to sleep she wasn't saying names Thoros and Dondarrion remember when the Hound was telling her to go on with the list at that time she did say the Hound but when she was no one remember she no longer wanted him dead.

The Arya / Brienne fight was fantastic.

But that supply train ambush was even better.  I thought that might be it for Ser Jaime.  Unfortunately, the writers didn't feel it was his time to go.  Gotta be tough to swim in armor though.

Gotta be hard to take it off too with only one hand

Really think Bronn should have died there.  I get saving Jamie (I'm assuming) because I'm sure he has a role to play, but Bronn?  I know he's hilarious and a crowd fave, but I can't imagine he has much left to do.  Would have been a good spot to kill him, imo.

I was laughing at the comment that it could only be "cool guy shtick" if you found fault in it.  People just can't disagree about things, I guess.
Breaking Bad is pretty universally considered one of the best shows ever. Maybe the best. Thrones is pretty close, and to some, may even exceed it. If you don't like either one of those shows, that's on you, not them.

I stand corrected... Thanks.

thats why i think it isn't actually there. Tarly was close with house Tyrell and the lanisters basically just made him kill all of them
This is why I was a bit confused too.  Like Floppo said, I thought he whole set-up and conversation with the Iron Bank was pointing to the gold not getting back to KL.  Then Tarly said it was back safely (could be lying), then I though Jamie was looking weird at a specific wagon that I thought was the gold.  I wouldn't be surprised if that gold is in Dany's hands next episode and #### hits the fan even more for Cersei.

What now? Is he suppose to hold his breath until the battlefield clears?

When have I said that I don't like either of those shows?  You guys are weird.

Pertty sure I have said multiple times if I didn't enjoy this series I wouldn't be watching.

Some trivia:

Maisie Williams is right handed and the producers were willing to let her fight right handed but she insisted she could learn to fight left handed to match the books

Yea, GoT would be awesome if it would just kill some characters off.

Some important people need to die soon.  Who've we lost through 4 episodes?  2 of the Sand Snakes and that's it?  This isn't the GoT I know

Did you like the two last minute death dodges tonight?  I kinda thought they were a bummer, in an otherwise awesome episode.
I'm not saying you are wrong specifically.... your comment just made me laugh though since there are few (any?) shows that have killed off more/higher profile characters than GoT.

Kill list

The people on Arya's death list currently are:

Cersei Lannister - For her role in the execution of her father and the death of Lady.

The Mountain - For leading the brutal torture at Harrenhal. Revived by Qyburn from his presumed death.

The people no longer on her list, because she knows they are deceased or believes them to be dead, are:

Walder Frey - For his role in killing her brother and mother.[29] Killed by Arya after she gained entry to his castle using a Faceless Men shapeshifter mask. Arya first killed Lord Walder's sons Lame Lothar and Black Walder Rivers(who each respectively killed her pregnant sister-in-law and mother during the Red Wedding), then fed their flesh to the unwitting Lord Walder baked into a pie.[52]

Polliver - For killing her friend Lommy, stealing her sword Needle, and taking part in the brutal torture at Harrenhal. Killed by Arya while repeating the same words Polliver said to Lommy when he killed him.

Joffrey Baratheon - For ordering the execution of her father. Killed during his own wedding.

Rorge - For threatening to rape her. Killed by Arya just after adding him to the list.

The Hound - For killing her friend Mycah and being a Lannister lackey. Severely injured by Brienne of Tarth and left to die by Arya. He actually survived, though she doesn't know it, and she later admitted that by that point part of her didn't want him to die.

Tywin Lannister - For leading the Lannisters against her brother. Killed by his own son Tyrion Lannister.

Meryn Trant - For killing her dancing master Syrio Forel and aiding Cersei in her coup. Killed by Arya in a Braavosi brothel where she was disguised as an underaged prostitute.

Arya's list logically only contains those whom she knows have committed crimes against her or her family. Despite committing great crimes against her family, Littlefinger is not included in Arya's death list, as she never learnt of Petyr Baelish's direct involvement in betraying her father. {Roose Bolton} was never included because she was unaware that Roose Bolton was present at the Red Wedding, much less that he personally killed Robb. She is also unaware of the fact that Roose's son {Ramsay} sacked Winterfell (and later killed {Rickon}). Arya also hasn't included Theon Greyjoy for taking Winterfell in the first place and (allegedly) killing her brothers Bran and Rickon, because she wasn't aware that it happened while she was on the run. News of the Fall of Winterfell only became widespread enough for her to hear of it after Ramsay recaptured the castle (in early Season 4) and supposedly killed Theon, thus he was never added to her list.

For a while, Arya added the Red Woman, Beric Dondarrion, and Thoros of Myr to her list, because she was upset the Brotherhood Without Banners let Melisandre take Gendry away. She later phased them out of her list, presumably because they didn't do anything remotely near what other people in the list had done, also one of her main motivations for keeping Beric and Thoros on the list was that they released the Hound despite his crimes which she later forgave.

Ilyn Payne, the executioner who beheaded her father, was also phased out of her list, maybe because he was a hired hand simply following orders like The Hound. Furthermore, the actor who plays Ilyn Payne developed pancreatic cancer after Season 1 and very nearly died, so his return to the TV series became uncertain.

Arya later revealed to the Waif that she was no longer intent on killing the Hound when she left him, suggesting that she may have appreciated his efforts to help keep her alive.

No doubt. It gets harder to kill off characters as the seasons go by and they become more popular.  It felt a little like that tonight to me.

since I know that @the moops is just dying to know what I thought of the episode. ;)

That was some damn good TV.  Like somebody else posted, they do still do a good job of balancing the quieter moments with the epic ones.  I love the smaller scale stuff more, so I really liked:

- Bran and LF.  Loved the look on his face when Bran quoted him.  He done F'd up by lying to him that he didn't know where the blade came from.  I have no idea why he is still sticking around with the all-knowing one back home.

- Arya and Brienne was great.

- I love seeing more and more Stark kids getting back to Winterfell.  I rewatched the first episode a little bit ago and it's been so long since they have been mildly happy and in each other's presence.  (the cynic in me thinks that won't last long now though.

- The rumbling of the Dothraki horses, and oh #### realization from Bronn/Jamie was great.

- As much as I don't love Jon, I really liked his scenes tonight - mostly him and Theon and the advice he gives Dany.

- Most of the battle was great.  Cringing watching the bodies burning, and loved finally seeing the Dothraki in action,  however....

Just for moops - a couple things that I didn't love..

- I still think the dragon CGI is kinda bad, and think battles like Battle of the Bastards are better because of it.

- cave paintings?

- like Frosty stated, that would have been a great time for Bronn or Jamie to bite it.  We all kinda knew this battle was coming, but it would have ramped the stakes if somebody of consequence would have fallen during the battle.

Like others have said, minor gripes, but a damn good episode of GOT.

You think the Dragon CGI is bad?

Arya is such a bad ###.  Probably my favorite character.
She was great tonight.

Methinks she just might be gutting LF with his own blade soon.  Again, I thought he was smarter than this - he should have been long gone after Bran quoted him and he had the look of realization that he does see everything.  I don't think he plotted to kill Bran, but he sure was knee deep with the shenanigans involving Daddy Stark, offing their aunt, and probably knowing what he was getting into with Ramsey.

Can someone please explain what Little Finger is up to?  For one, not really sure where he fits in anymore.  I'm just waiting for him to betray the North and kill the Starks, or attempt to.  Every time I see him I cringe.

I have a bad feeling he's going to kill Arya.  Just a gut feeling.  He won't kill his crush and Bran is the three eyed raven.  This show has a way to crush me when I start getting excited like a did tonight.

woah, i can't believe this thread. no complaints yet? I feel like it is missing so i'll throw one out there:

What is up with Brienne swinging her big ### Valerian steel full force while sparring with Arya. I don't think she can slow her swing that much and Arya had no armor!!

it's funny because obvioulsy this episode and show are the best of the best, but honestly watching that scene this was what i thought half the time

I think it showed a little bit of vulnerablility and anger for getting shown up by a "child". She initially took it easy until Arya was basically taunting her. But yeah she could have died there I actually thought it might happen for a second

That would be a gut punch for sure.  He was really leering at her, but of course he does that to everybody.

hmm wife just made a good call. I believe Dany knows that Jamie killed her father, i wonder if they recognize that (or Tyrion comes down to save him) but they pull him out as a prisoner. Obviously Dany would want his head for killing her dad, and it leaves Tyrion with the tricky dilemma of helping his brother or serving Dany...

Really?  I think it's fantastic.  Do you have any examples that were better?  I watch a lot of dragon movies because I am a dork and I can't think of any.
