However, being that the show is not the book, I am open to the possibility that the show makes this "real".

In that case, I wanted to track its location down.

I'm not gonna make any bets, as I am not as good about remembering show details as book details.

Great discussion regardless.

As I recall Melisande "manufactured" a Lightbringer to push her narrative. The sword was Stannis's but I don't believe it was the original Lightbringer. I'm guessing Brienne has the sword if anybody but I don't think it will fulfill the prophecy. What would be badass cool is if it was in Lyana's tomb along with the evidence necessary to authenticate Jon as a Targaryian/Stark thus wrapping up one story line (Jon's heritage) and providing a device to combat the NK (whatever sword is in there, Lightbringer or Dawn).

Thnx. I really like that. It’s simple & logical. With all of the other deep mysteries, it's nice to have some things straight forward like that. 

 
Just watched tonight's episode thanks to the online leak. I couldn't resist. Great episode.

There are a couple of pretty memorable scenes tonight. Get your popcorn ready.
