Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (5 Viewers)

For the record, we can probably merge the threads now. There isn't a single (significant) storyline present in the books (that's also in the series) that the series hasn't caught up to or passed. The (apparent) death of Jon was at the very end of the last published book and made for a good season ending scene.

That all said, I have never understood how Martin handled the Snow murder(?). Plenty of the Watch saw what happened at Hardhome, and would have told the other brothers. They aren't the smartest bunch, but there is no reason at all why they wouldn't have at least understood why Jon brought the wildlings through. It made more sense for just one or two of them to have attempted a murder.

(BTW...Harrington is signed through season 7)
Theyve been divided in half since the vote though. Seems like the other half has just been looking for a reason to kill Jon.

So, if snow manages to survive, this gives him justification to leave the nights watch, create an army, and retake the north.

Maybe the Red Witch brings him back to life?

TV THREAD RULES!

Down with book nerds!

Also I thought I read that Shukes travel buddy was putting out another novel before next TV season which would leave us in the same place.

To late, Bro. Us Wildlings are thru The Wall!

If he's not dead he's still the lord Commander and must uphold his vows....I would think. For what it's worth, the director of the episode is on record as saying that Snow is dead.

If they don't bring him back, what was the point of showing the Lord of Light can bring people back and then putting the Red Witch at Castle Black?

The only people who seem to do fine are those who don't play the Game of Thrones based on one sided loyalty (Varys, Littlefinger, Tyrion).

i don't think she can bring people back. She never has before and why would she?

I think he's dead...so any interviews with the cast/crew are accurate......but I think he's coming back ala. Dondarrion from the Brotherhood Without Banners.

So next season is back to Dany wandering around, Tyrion running a city, the Boltons brutalizing people and Cersi getting revenge....sounds a lot like season 2.

The Wall is so important...who the hell is going to lead the war against the Walkers?

Word
It wouldn't surprise me at all.
The real question is: when Tormund catches wind of the mutiny, does he turn the wildlings loose on the Night's Watch? I feel like this could be the end of the Watch.

Yeah, that's a good point.

Yeah, that's a good point.
Is there anyone left there that the viewers would mourn if Castle Black is overrun, whether by wildlings or walkers? Targaryen, Jon Snow, Mormont, Sam and Gilly, they're all gone.

Kill. Them. All.

And then, kill all the Boltons.

I don't think so. Most of the named guys that were allied with Snow are gone. Only Edd I think is left.

Start with Michael. His music is a far worse torture than anything Ramsay can conceive.

Exactly. Varsity thread.

When filming starts in a few months we'll know if Snow is back. Won't be able to hide it.

Of course they could open with them burning Snow so he could be there for one episode ala Joffrey and Tywin.

Tomen could be the worst king this show has ever seen. that kid blows. not as bad as Ollie, but close.

and i'll take the new Mountain over White walkers and dragons. i like how each little group has their own supernatural power
