Jon's parentage is always set up as a mystery - during Ned's goodbye he says he'll explain it to Jon when they next meet. Plus, Ned is always shown to be an honorable man - to a fault. There's even a line from Robert in the first season about how it was odd that the honorable Ned Stark returned from war with a ******* son. Add in that Lyanna Stark never returned from the war and its not particularly hard to connect some dots.Always?
Jamie says something Catelyn when he's being held captive that implies he doesn't think Ned cheated on her. Stannis says something along the same lines when he's at the Wall talking about Jon's parentage. A few people have hinted at Jon Snow being someone else's kid and not Ned's because Ned was too honorable to have cheated on Catelyn. It's been hinted at a few times on the show but mostly in the earlier seasons.Jon's parentage is always set up as a mystery - during Ned's goodbye he says he'll explain it to Jon when they next meet. I noticed that too. I didn't think she was a full fledged member though.Did the faceless girl perk up when she heard Arya mention walder Frey? As if she knew him and was surprised he was on Arya's hit list? Didn't the faceless girl mention she was the daughter of a strong house once, only to retract her statement since she is no one like all the rest of their cult.
Very first episode there was some unspoken ####e between Benjen, Ned and Jon....to the point that even though I hadn't read the books, I thought Ned was covering the fact that Jon was Benjen's kid because Benjen would have been killed.Jon's parentage is always set up as a mystery - during Ned's goodbye he says he'll explain it to Jon when they next meet. As for Dany, she's obviously not going to be stuck there with the horse #### and dust. I think she finds her way out by herself without the help of her lovers in search of her. She may even find an army along the way.
I was just kidding...i'm just guessing dude. haven't read any of the books.
If they all end up BBQ then she probably takes controll of all of the horde and takes back over all of slavers bay.![]()
Sounds like all of the active Khals will be meeting to discuss her fate. If they end up bbq maybe she assumes command of all the Dothraki.
I typically agree, but founds his performance in the scene where he was fanning himself a little hammy or something. I couldn't put my finger on it... I thought maybe the writing, but after reading your post, it could be that he wasn't as subtle as he usually is.Dinklage is great in his role, but I find myself enjoying the acting of the guy who plays Varys (Conleth Hill) just as much. He routinely conveys so much just via the expressions on his face. Watch the scene from the previous week where Tyrion goes down to the dragon basement. I don't think Varys says a word in the scene but his expressions and posture told you everything he was thinking. And he's always great delivering his lines as well. I hope they find a way to get him, Tyrion and Littlefinger together again for a few more scenes before the show is over. Probably tough to do with how the story is going.
The guy who plays Theon has done a remarkable job through the whole run I'd say he's been the best actor gun-to-head.Dinklage is great in his role, but I find myself enjoying the acting of the guy who plays Varys (Conleth Hill) just as much. Alfie Allen. He has done a great job. I think in some ways, it's easier to play roles like that (maybe not physically, but in other ways) where there are such dramatic events and changes the character has to deal with rather than subtle low key characters. I think his best work is in the scenes where he's getting damaged/conflicted psychologically, he really has done a great job expressing how tortured he is/has been without going over the top.The guy who plays Theon has done a remarkable job through the whole run I'd say he's been the best actor gun-to-head.
When you spend the bulk of your life with no sack, the ability to procure one on short notice probably becomes a priority. The guy who plays Theon has done a remarkable job through the whole run I'd say he's been the best actor gun-to-head.
Varys isn't far behind. I've always liked any scene he is in. Might be the richest character in the show too. Every time he needs a sack of diamonds or a sack of silver to buy someone off and set them up for the rest of their lives he just happens to have one.
I didn't pick up on that but when she asked Arya if there was anyone else on the list she was expecting her name (the girl asking and attacking) to be there.Did the faceless girl perk up when she heard Arya mention walder Frey? As if she knew him and was surprised he was on Arya's hit list? Hard for Robet Baratheon to show a lot of range. I get it.Alfie Allen. He has done a great job. We now know you're not a god either.I'll give you an inch.
Well played. Got a good laugh out of that in the episode and liked that it underscored their friendship.Ilov80s said:We now know you're not a god either.
Instead of trial by combat, it will be a battle of wits. He will pour iocane powder into one of two glasses of wine, and let Cersei decide which to drink.
What Cersei does not know, is that the Sparrow poured iocane powder into both glasses, and all this time "praying", the Sparrow has secretly been building up an immunity to iocane powder.

I meant to rewind that to see if it was the chair. Thought that would be a nice touch. They are great together. The Ref said:Hard for Robet Baratheon to show a lot of range. I get it.
Pivot back to Varys for a minute, my favorite scenes of the whole run were Varys and Littlefinger. Those two were meant to be in scenes together. I hope we get more in the future.
This week was a great example. He has this ability to bring on the menace in scenes like that without being over the top, and actually seeming almost nice while doing it.Gr00vus said:Dinklage is great in his role, but I find myself enjoying the acting of the guy who plays Varys (Conleth Hill) just as much. So.... she will be doing the exact same thing she did for the last 4 seasons? Damn, I hope not.The Ref said:If they all end up BBQ then she probably takes controll of all of the horde and takes back over all of slavers bay.
Classic. I would have been rolling on the floor. The closed captioning said (fart)
That's definitely the greatest fault of the show/material. Dany's story has basically been in a holding pattern for awhile waiting for all the pieces in Westeros to lineup. In some ways it's too bad they couldn't have just left Dany out of a whole season, but because she's such a loved character I get why they haven't done that.So.... she will be doing the exact same thing she did for the last 4 seasons? Johnathan Pryce is similar as the high sparrow. I dislike the character but love watching Pryce's face as he transforms from meek to sinister without saying anything. He's good. This week was a great example. He has this ability to bring on the menace in scenes like that without being over the top, and actually seeming almost nice while doing it.
The fact that she is back at square one is more than a little frustrating. Hell, at this point she didn't even need to be in the story - just hint at Tyrion's love of dragons early on and send him on a quest to find some after he killed his dad or something like that. Both stories across the sea feel like they have been spinning their wheels for too long (Arya's not as long as Dany's), and like you said both just feel like they are in a holding pattern (to me anyway) for something they are needed for at the end of the story. That's definitely the greatest fault of the show/material. *Sorry for the possible GM spellings.
I don't know if I had forgotten or if I just figured this out but holy cow that's Dianna Rigg as Olenna.Despite the controversial Ramsay/Theon/Sansa scene and the sand snakes warrior princesses scene, I think the trial scene was the most cringe worthy. Nothing about it was plausible, the dialogue was terrible and the acting by everyone except maybe Dianna Rigg was pretty bad too.

Who records themselves watching a TV show?
And her storyline is spinning it's wheels more than the dragon one.Ilov80s said:So many great performances in the show, the casting director deserves an Emmy or two. I think Masie Williams as Arrya has been the best actress. For a child actor, she has shown a wide range m. She's been funny, strong, weak and has done well wiry how physical her role is. She's nailed every aspect. She was even able to stand toe to toe with Charles Dance without giving an inch. I
I thought for a second that Jon was going to pardon him at the last second, glad he didn't. GoT doesn't do pardons.I think Olly gets too harsh a rap. If a group of marauders bust your door in when you were a kid and butchered your entire family in front of you, how eager would your teenage self be to befriend and welcome these same people into your home with open arms a couple of years later?
