Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (3 Viewers)

I think tyrion ends up marrying dany... although would be interesting to have her end up with jamie (after he offs his sister).

she had a surviving kid last season; the season ends with her without kids. see my post upthread- the kids were the only thing keeping her human.

 
The only thing that has me leaning away from Jaime killing Cersei is the, "after you have drown in your tears" part of the prophecy.  Either it's not referencing literal tears (Tears of Lys?) or something really out of left field happens.  Her kids are dead.  She doesn't really care about anything else.  The only thing left for her to cry over would be Jaime's death.

What she did at the Sept was while she still had a child. That was already Mad King like, but even worse. The Mad King was well, mad. She's a psychopath. And that was when her last child was still alive. I can't imagine what she does next to take that up a notch. Then again, I agreed with Wade Wilson when he told Basil Forty that he couldn't take non stop torture up a notch in Dead Pool.

not saying she hasn't been psychopathic leading up to this- but last season, she was backed into a corner from all sides. the sept was to save herself, and to try to save tommen (and the house and kingdom) from being played by the sparrow.

yeah- tough to get more crazy than blowing up a huge part of your own city. but any kindness or mercies she's shown so far has been either on behalf of her kids or to help them in some way. without that keeping her somewhat in check, that all goes out the window from now on... I genuinely think her psychoses will go to 11.

I don't disagree with that logic. I just don't know how they take that to another level.

I think somehow Danny and Jon Snow end up together but she dies in child birth or some such thing....bitter sweet

 
Of course Dany and Jon will get it on.  The question is will it be before or after they find out they are brother and sister.

Incorrect prophesies are usually the result of people incorrectly interpreting them.

I'm not sure I'd count Mel's visions in the fires as prophesy, but I can see the argument.  Her visions do come to pass.  It's her interpretations of the visions that are the problem.

I'd say there's a similar outcome with the dosh khaleen.  Stallion Who Mounts the World is the prophesy.  That may still be fulfilled.  They incorrectly thought it would be by Rhaego.

Could be something similar with Cersei, certainly.  Maybe something completely unexpected happens that one could loosely interpret as her little brother choking the life out of her.  Maybe a volcano named Volanqar blows its top and she dies Pompeii style, forever preserved with a wine glass in her hand and a #### in her snatch. 

But Maggie's batting 1.000 so far.  I'll expect Jaime or Tyrion to kill her until it doesn't happen.

How about she survives until almost the end and is at Castlery Rock when Jamie shows up, kills her and then its revealed to be Arya.  Maggie prophecy fulfilled....Aryas list complete.

I think it's fair to say both that it's one of the greatest battle scenes ever filmed and also that it contains several very un-GoT like Hollywood cliches.

Me either. Which is part of my excitement over this season, especially seeing how she reacts to the invading Dany horde and a Stark back as king of a reunited North. Let alone whether she and the South believer or understand the impending Whitewalkers. Once she does understand, I could see her making and then breaking an alliance with the North... allowing them to fall before using dragonglass arrows as a defense.

Considering how happy S6 ended for all the protagonists, I have a feeling we're going to be in for some pain this season.

Good theory, but my understanding is Arya left the faceless man stuff behind when she said something like, "a girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell and is going home" (or similar) near the end of last season. I do hope and expect Arya is going to get back to work on her list. Also looking forward to her re-uniting with her direwolf.

 
Dany takes the throne in the end. Her dragons are by her side as is her king. The leader of the White Walkers. Its going to be a long winter. Had the houses got together to fight the Walkers, the House wins, but in this game of thrones, no one does.

Except that she went faceless and took out Papa Frey there at the end.  I like his theory alot myself.

Actually, I believe there exists two levels of face deception. Jaqen H'ghar and the Waif interchanged faces before the Waif was dead. However, Arya was a novice that still required a "mask".

Thus, if Arya "ups" her game, she may be able to wear the face of the living imo. :shrug:

She was able to use the faceless man powers when she killed Walder Frey. There's nothing at this time to suggest that was a one-time deal so it would appear she's brought some added skills back with her to the North.

I kind of thought it just meant that she was giving up the life....not the skills.  Maybe the Faceless Men are going to come after her ala the Warlocks and Dany in S3?

Knowing Martin some despised character will get killed off, and after a couple of seconds of satisfaction by the audience we'll find out it was really Arya in disguise.

I've just re-watched the first few episodes (I really forgot how much happened in the first season).

When Danny's brother Viserys is getting it on with the slave in the bath and implies that she hasn't seen anything outside the whorehouse, she says that she's seen a man who could change his face like clothing and a pirate in gold with colorful sails. 

I didn't remember that - I don't know if I just thought they were meaningless references at the time or if I just wasn't paying attention to anything she was saying for some odd reason.

There is a lot of foreshadowing. Jamie says he would rather be dead than be a cripple. There is also a scene with Tyrion and Varys right before the Battle of the Blackwater where the city bells are ringing. Tyrion says something about he always hated the bells because they only ring for bad things like a dead king or an attack. Varys then adds "a wedding". We at the time think it's just a funny marriage joke, but now we understand how horrible weddings can really be in GoT.

Yeah that was one of the episodes I caught during HBO's re-airing of all the episodes here over the past few weeks.  First of all, hottie alert.  Secondly, I thought the same thing.  Awesome foreshadowing.

When Bran was in the tower he told a Ghost story about a cook killing a a man's sons and feeding them to him then later Arya cook the Frey boy and serve him to daddy Frey then cut his throat.

Interesting, but can she up her game on her own?  Like somebody posted, I thought she basically gave up the faceless thing at the end of the last season.  Doesn't mean she can't be a bad ### assassin, but I didn't think she could switch faces anymore.

This is an interesting catch.  Anything that happens in the things that don't exist similar?

 
Good grief, we are past the point where the story is in the books.  Can we drop the "books don't exist" junk.  Made sense a few seasons ago, but now it is just silly. 

 
I just started episode 5, and wasn't really paying attention to anything else, but my teenage son was looking for something in the next room.  Lancel Lannister (the effeminate cousin) is helping Robert Baratheon put his armor on and tells him that it doesn't fit.  The annoyed Baratheon says, "Your mother was a dumb whore with a fat ###."

Almost immediately, I hear from the next room, "Roasted."
