Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (7 Viewers)

Did the gold make it out before Drogon showed up with some Grace Jerky Seasoning, a Maverick Wireless Meat Thermometer like a Kamado Joe Grill and 3-2-1 everything?

I must have missed them talking about the wagons having food in them.  I did think it was strange for the dragon to burn all the wagons instead of just wiping out the men.

i think once Snow hears Jorah's entire history with Dany, coupled with the fact that his closest friend (Sam) just healed Jorah's stone skin at the Citadel,  he makes the overture.  it seems right in the wheelhouse of Jon's nature. 

perhaps Jorah declines at first, but somehow 'earns' it back.

Maybe Sam passes on the family sword he swiped from his dad, which is valyrian steel, and passes that to Jon.

I have zero problems with the whole one dragon thing, but this is the worst analogy ever.

yeah, was. home for a couple days now... clean up work from the almost dying thing. Bunch of hernias and major swiss cheese scar tissue... on mend though. :thumbup:

Koya's fun times with Divirticulitis

Long story short, two years ago diagnosed with serious divirticulitis.

Was scheduled for surgery on Nov. 20, 2015 as I needed to heal to be strong enough to have them cut out part of my lower intestine.

Three days prior to that I was rushed into the ER as I had also come down with a life threatening disease in its own right, C Diff. The combo had me go sepsis and rushed into life saving surgery.

Since #### hit the fan (it was real bad, 17 hours in surgery) they could only cut out my intestine, not reconnect. The Red Lady brought me back, but not without consequences. I pooped into a bag for most of the next year before being strong enough for reconnective surgery late summer last year.

All along, it was sorta expected that I'd need some cleanup, likely from hernias and that's what we took care of last week. All's good here out, though. :thumbup:

Drogon is perceived as the reincarnated version of the dragon who's skull we saw...but the dead one was 200 yrs old (Wiki)...so doesn't seem like Drogon would be bigger.

 
Can't imagine how being further away, having what amounts to armored scales, flesh, and muscle to go through might impact the arrow's ability to destroy a skeleton.

And maybe a thousdand year old dragon skull is brittle as #### and a toy spear could even go through it?

ALso was missing the scales on the outside, and some flesh.

THat skull was supposed to be from one of the larger dragons in history...but would have been hundreds of years old....and therefore brittle

With only one dragon, 1 scorpion becomes way more effective. With three dragons, no way Jaime gets anywhere near her. 

Basically, there are a bunch of people in here watching one of the greatest dramas of all time and #####ing about the drama created in the show. That's like complaining of all the funny #### in a comedy. Whole lot of shuttin' up needs to happen in here. "But, but, but, I just like discussing the inconsistencies and plot holes and--" Shadup already.

But, that being said....if one has accepted the Westeros Teleporter for the past six seasons...there's no real reason to ##### about it now.

This is nonsensical. It took one man to operate the Scorpion. You wouldn't abandon the shield wall with pikemen because that was the defense against the Dothraki. You could even form archers to shoot at Dany and hope for a luck shot and all at the same time order Bran to man the Scorpion. 

Again, they made it very clear that this is a new weapon designed specifically to defend against the dragons. It is silly that it was not the first thing Jaime didn't think about and have gone to once he saw Drogon bearing down on them. 

Let's not be silly and try to make this about some logical choice the character made. This was a choice made by the show for dramatic flare.

From what I can recall - it was used in an attempt on Bran's life, Lady Stark fought off the attacker and Summer killed him.  Littlefinger claimed that the dagger was his, but he lost it to Tyrion some time ago.  That's all I remember.

Then Littlefinger gave it to Bran last night, who then gave it to Arya.  But I feel like I'm missing quite a lot (like 6 seasons in the middle).  Thanks.

After it was used to try to kill Bran it was taken to King's Landing where Littlefinger tells Ned and Kat that it was his and Tyrion gained it in a bet. Then, when Ned makes his move and he is betrayed by the Gold Cloaks and Littlefinger- it is this dagger that Littlefinger holds at Neds throat. Since then, the assumption would be that Littlefinger has been holding on to it until we saw it in the last episode where he gives it to Bran and then Bran in turn gives it to Arya.

While I don't disagree with you as to the dramatic flare angle, I don't consider the time lapse excessive when considering all that was going on.  First was the sound created by the horses which required Jaime to set up the shield wall.  You then cut to the Dragon appearance and you can see that everyone is stunned by the size and grandeur of the Dragon.  Yes, Jaime (who is a seasoned warrior) should have reacted quicker on the use of the ballista, but the lapse wasn't egregious IMO.

agree on all counts, including chad's (a bit excessive, but understandable)... which you could imagine would be something they'd have worked on. maybe not as much as their funky chicken lock step march, but at least practiced once or twice having somebody run to the scorpion and get it ready- if not having a crew set up to get it ready and man it.

It was funny when Littlefinger made such a grand gesture when giving it to Bran (trying to score points with him) and Bran was like "Meh, you take it Arya".

Did the spear kill the dragon or something?  Looked to me like it went into his shoulder or chest but he didn't seem to worse for wear other than crying like a baby when Dany was trying to pull it out.

And you know who gets really screwed in these medieval battles?  The horses.  Impaled on spears they probably didn't want to run into, knocked to the ground when their riders get ganked, legs cut off by savage horsemen, and burned to a crisp by dragons.

F That.  Glad I'm not a horse.  Other than having a slightly larger dong, I see no real benefits.

Do we know who the father is of the girl's baby that went off with the fat guy to the library?  I seem to recall it was strange dude in the forest that raped her.  Was it a white walker?

Old guy = Craster

Craster ####ed his daughters and sacrificed his sons to the White Walkers.  That could come into play if there was something specific about his sons - but we don't really know anything about them right now.

Well we have another couple of days until the next episode...........

 
There's White Walker/Craster/wildling book stuff.  Nothing huge....but I think it paints the WW's less as just a force that wants to obliterate all of humankind and more like a random force of nature.  Tormud specifically talked about how some nights wildings in a pack would go to sleep for the night, wake up in the morning and find that the WW's had taken a couple.

Night King dug a fiendish, long blue fingernail into the kid's cheek - instant freeze.  right on the spot - kid was crying one minute, Cold Ethyl the next. 

one of the top 5 scenes for me - was the first time we saw that dude. 

 mind. blown.  ??❄
