Schefter believes limited.free agency could start as soon as the vote by the player reps is done this afternoon!

Yep, Schefter tweeted this recently:

Teams can sign their free agents this afternoon. Teams can begin talking to UFAs this afternoon. Teams can sign UFAs tomorrow at noon.
In another tweet he mentioned that trade talks could start today, too.

I'll be right back, I gotta run to the bathroom! :excited:

Per Glazer: Trades can be made and rookies signed starting tomorrow. Free agents cannot be signed until 6 pm Friday. All FA's on same time line, no exclusive window for own FA's.

When does FA start? It's Jay Glazer (Friday 6pm) vs. Adam Schefter (Tuesday Noon). LOL

JLC just had this series of tweets:

NFLN and NFL.com has learned under agreed to timeline, trades and rookie signings start Tues, facilities open Wed. unrestricted free agents
Free to negotiate with any team starting Tues - cannot sign with teams officially til Fri. Camps would open over weekend. Told there are..
Some wrinkles that may surprise people as well. NFLPA execs still arriving in DC, a vote is expected this afternoon. All of this is pending

Andrew Brandt also recently tweeted that the RFA tenders placed on players prior to lockout are voided.
what exactly is that going to mean? They will replace tenders again right? Mike Bush will still be a RFA right? just wondering?
In Bush's case, I think he should still be a RFA. It's 4 and 5 year guys that were tendered prior to lockout that should be UFAs now instead of RFAs.

Mike Freeman reports NFLPA has scheduled a conference call with agents for this afternoon to go over new rules.

Finally, The long wait is over that was starting to get a bit much, That would have been horrible the prospect of no football.. Lets get ready to roll guys 2011 season can't come fast enough

Just to verify, the rumor about teams being allowed to resign their own FAs this afternoon is false?

As a fan of football, I am really happy to have it back. Feels like Christmas. But the frantic free agent period we are coming into has me worried about my team and filling holes and retaining key players (Zach Miller for example).

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am in a time-warp FF wise. I haven't really paid that much attention or given it serious thought compared to previous years. I imagine I'll need a crash course to get ready for the upcoming FF season. I am usually way ahead on FF intel just by watching the mini-camps, OTA's, and the FA signing period. I have to say, I am at a loss.

Albert Breer reports the Commish and De Smith have put pen to paper and per the national presser thats about to happen.

Its awesome to see the Commish and De smith at the mic to lift the lockout together!

Commish Goodell - "Footballs Back!"

Has anyone seen a clarification on the trading allowed timeline.

I ask because apparently the guidelines issued to date specify that trading can open "Tuesday" (no time specified) while the other Tuesday items, e.g. rookie draft pick signings can happen at 10am ET.

ESPN story with timelines

Does that mean Kolb gets traded at 12:01am tonight?

Want to give props out to the Jets for paying all the the business employees back their lost wages.

Hopefully the other teams that cut back will do the same.

Espn saying tomorrow morning.

Udfa is open right now. Is Pryor eligible? I bet someone signs him for camp.

No, Pryor isn't eligible as he hasn't been through an NFL draft. He is awaiting the NCAA talking to the NFL to find out if he had any eligibility for 2011 at OSU. If he did, he won't be allowed in the NFL this year. If he was going to be ineligible, then he can enter the NFL Supplemental Draft and get drafted by someone, or if not, sign as a UDFA.
