Game Thread - Divisionals - Carolina V Chicago (3 Viewers)

How much of a no-brainer is Smith at 6.5 receptions?
Not as much of a no-brainer as you might think. If Chicago can't mount any offense, Carolina won't be passing anymore. Worse, I have Kasay to kick a 40 yard FG. Had Foster not fumbled and recovered to pick up 2 yards, I'd have it. :wall:

this gameThe Bears sucks.
Fixed.
It never gets old does it. Every week in Bears in-game threads talking ####.You need to get a life guy  :bye:
I've been in maybe three Bears threads all year. Your hyperbole is rejected. I said they'd be one in done in the playoffs if they even made it. Let's revisit this prediction at the end of this game shall we?How does it feel to get shutout @home after a bye week also?

The other thing I'd say about Foster from the point of view of drafting him high in FF is that he doesn't look anything like the same back inside the opponents' five-yard line, and given his previous injury concerns I'd be wary of his being used as a between-the-20s back with someone else used as the goal-line back.Still, didn't do Tiki much harm this year.

Is the game over? Must have missed that.

Foster could easily be the 2006 version of Warrick Dunn.

Foster has been really impressive lately, if he is back with the panthers im thinking he top 5 next year when all is said and done
Perennial injury problems, even as a part-time back. I'd want to see him play a full season before I'd consider putting him in the top 5.
Best case scenario on Foster is top 12 I think.
Im not saying I would draft him in the top 5 just that I believe it is very possible for him to put up top 5 stats in the offense. Injuries are a concern but they are with everyone and I dont weigh too heavily into injuries as much I do as age.
From what I've found, RB's rarely get healthier from year to year, no matter what their age. There are exceptions--especially cases like Edge from a couple years ago, when you're recovering from a surgery that basically takes a year.

He has the tools, no question. But I don't think there's any way he'll fall to a point in the draft where I'd be willing to take him.

Normally I'd say the correct call would be to go for it here, but that accounts for the fact that the offense can get the ball back with good field position and enough time to score should they fail on 4th down. With only 2 minutes left before the half, I think it would be proper to just take the 3 here. Still, when are you going to be closer than half a yard from the goalline in this game?

Yup, and that got you a 1 and done in the playoffs, and a crappy draft pick.Holy crap I sound like a Bear fan from the past

You guys are good for the next 10 yrs now. At least after today we won't have to hear from you, or GRID for that matter. Not for 10 more years anyway.
