Game Thread - Divisionals - Carolina V Chicago (1 Viewer)

That was a good game.  Great second half.  I hated the Panthers lost Deshaun Foster, and I hope Peppers can play next week.    As for the Bears, I think they will be even better next year.    Grossman looks like he has the potential to become a really good NFL quarterback.    For someone with not much experience starting, he played a good game.
Congratulations
:goodposting: I'm going to take the high road here, even though GRID, the teeny bopper wouldn't have and usually doesn't.

At least we don't have to hear from that mouth any more this year.

Glad you're taking the high road :coffee:

In the long run this is going to be a great game for the Bears. For all the gaudy numbers that the defense put up this year, those that saw it week in and week out knew that there were some huge holes just waiting to be exposed. It was a pleasure to see two teams that could actually tackle after watching the Colts play "defense" earlier today. The Bears enter next season with a chip on their shoulder, a lot of positives, and some easily fixable negatives that can be handled through free agency.

Put Tillman on the practice squad. He SUCKS!
To be fair, I feel the DC and the HC deserve a share of the blame. Whether it was the result of great play or the result of the gameplan, Vasher was practically invisible tonight, and there's a reason for that: Chicago played zone and was willing to let the Panthers get whatever matchup they wanted within that scheme.Chicago has great talent on defense, great minds on that side of the ball, and they certainly had some injuries. But I sure do wonder whether this game would've looked different if Vasher's mission had been to cover Steve Smith all night. Maybe a little hubris on the part of those Bears defensive minds I praised earlier?

So, in sumation....if you blanket that little Steve Smith fella, the Panther offense implodes and you win....if you play zone and let him run wild, you lose.Holmgren > Lovie
