Game Thread - Divisionals - New England V Denver (1 Viewer)

look at the haters from around the globe celebrating and releasing the words that were hidden inside them in the last years watching the great Patriots dynasty. How can you say the Pats didn't beat themselves? You can't say the Broncos defense dominated nor their offense dominated the Pats defense.

Watson ran 108 yards
I say 104.But, to confirm, I would need to know where the hashes in the NFL? I believe the field is 50 yards wide right? How far are the hashes from the sidelines...15, 20 yards?
The Patriots D has been great. The Denver D has been equivalent if not better. Not only did Brady make a terrible play but C. Bailey took it to the house. Nice play champ. You turn the ball over 4 times and you dont win.I said in the pregame thread that if Brady threw interceptions they would lose. He hasnt thrown multiples but that one to Bailey was a killer.

The Patriots are still in the midst of their Dynasty run. A loss in the Divisional playoffs does not end it. They will be back next year.

Call me a sore loser, but I'm giving zero credit to the broncos if they win tonight.  The Pats beat themselves, with a little help from the refs.
Typical Pats Fan. :bag:
Unreal. You can hang this game DIRECTLY on Tom Brady. The D did their job tonight and the O, specifically Brady has been TERRIBLE.
:goodposting: I was so upset when Brady interfered with a pass in the end zone, fumbled two punts, and fumbled on a second down run. The INT is on Brady, and it was crushing. The rest of the game, he played well and moved the ball very well against a very aggressive defense. I know you want this to be like Manning's playoff showings, but it hasn't been.
I'm sure Brady had something to do with Shaun Alexander's injury as well.

Ok, the Pats beat themselves. That makes it better. Chokers.

Except you fail to mention the 2 TDs that should he missed throwing because Denver has rattled him.
Brady is over 60% passing with 337 passing yards and counting against a very good team that has been playing good, aggressive ball while playing on the road. I hope you hold every QB to that standard.

Well, people can call Peyton Manning a choker when the Colts lose. Isn't it fair to blame this loss on Brady? After all, he is the quarterback of the team, and obviously he is responsible for wins and losses.
Please tell me you aren't this stupid. Course if you are, you'd have a lot of company here.If he plays poorly and they lose, than he should shoulder a lot of the blame. If they lose despite him playing well, he shouldn't. Other players andn/or coaches should be judged similarly.

I really don't get why these very simple concepts are so hard for some of you to grasp.

some of the ignorant anti-Brady crap on this thread is almost enough to make me root for the guy.please stop

Brady fumbled two punts and a kickoff?
Don't forget the pass interference he committed as well.
Brady failed at keeping Rod Smith out of the End Zone too.

You have to consider the Pats a dynasty, they won 3 championships in 4 years (and this game isn't over). Add the fact in that this is the salary cap era, and that seals it.

It's no more ignorant than all the Anti-Manning crap that gets thrown around.Brady's gotten a lot of extra credit for team accomplishments the past 4 years. He can take some undue blame too.

too bad you can't call two time defending champs chokers, only habitual losers 'choke'

My problem with him is that he has missed 2 open TDs tonight. That's simply HUGE. If he hit even one of them NE most likely wouldn't be in this kind of hole. Oh and he missed them BADLY. Look I am as a big of a Brady fan as you can find. UofM days and I would love nothing more than them to win, but he has to stop missing WRs in scoring situations. I know I know two great throws and a TD....let's see if he has anymore magic left.

I could care less about the Colts or the Pats. But I just like to point out that football is a team sport. There are 22 players who start for a football team. One player alone should not be give all the credit for a win/or all the shame of a loss. That is the point I was making. Is that a simple enough concept for you? Because obviously you are either a Pats homer, or have zero idea what you are talking about.

Is Charlie Weis on this team?

I'm not a Pats fan at all. In fact, I root against them most of the time, but anyone whoA) Blames Brady is wrong.B) Doesn't think the refs affected this game is blind.I hope Denver wins, but a spade is a spade.

i agree

i disagree

Smart by Shanahan to pass both of the last two possessions. They're moving the ball better when they're trying to kill the clock than they did the rest of the game because the Pats are overcommitting to the run.

Brady gets a great deal of the credit for the Patriots 10-0 record in the playoffs, deservedly so. It is always said that BRADY is 10-0. So he gets a lot of credit for the loss here. He was not TERRIBLE but he did not have a good night. He certainly did not have the night that many Patriots fans expected out of him. He has not been able to finish drives.Obviously the fumbling has hurt as well. I dont even consider the refs an issue at this stage.

I don't HAVE to do jack squat.... I'm entitled to an opinion as much as the next guy.

Keep it going, I love it.

Yeah, that's why you said "he is the quarterback of the team, and obviously he is responsible for wins and losses."Either you're try to backpedal now or you explained yourself very poorly.

Brady made a terrible throw on the pick. And threw maybe two balls poorly the rest of the game...Anyone who thinks that Brady lost a game where an atrocious PI call and some sloppy fumbles gave Denver great field position, knows NOTHING about football.

This will get ignored, but when you combine those 2 TDs with the 2-TD swing his Champ Bailey pass provided, and Brady's got a lot of reasons to feel upset with how he played.

There are none so blind as the willfully blind...
