Game Thread - Divisionals - New England V Denver (1 Viewer)

I'd like to say something to ALMOST ALL the TV analysts for Fox and CBS and ESPN. "DOWN GOES FRAZIER, DOWN GOES FRAZIER!"Now then, shut your pieholes and lets go PITTSBURGH!WOO HOO!!

the line next week will be Indy -6.5 at least
I'd say it's Indy -double digits at least. The Broncos haven't shown me a single thing that would suggest that they're a Super Bowl team tonight.

They've been EXTREMELY fortunate.
No, Denver will get 4 or 5 to start, and it will move to 6 or 7.
You think Denver will only get 4-5 playing in Indy?I'd lay serious money against you on that.
Not so fast, huh?I don't expect the Steelers to win tomorrow, but it's not like they don't have a chance. There are a lot of things that will be different tomorrow compared to the Monday night game.

I was actually going to root for the Pats to win seeing as I feel they have a better chance of beatingthe Colts.  After seeing all of the whiny tools in here..... I'm glad they lost.  Lose graciously people.
 Fans from the Boston area are generally very classy and gracious.
Well being a Bronco fan. I still think the Patriots had one heck of a run in the NFL.

Back to Back titles is very hard to do and they have gone down fighting like the true Champs they are.

Just sometimes it is Hard to see it end.
I don't think their run is that close to an end. They were decimated by injuries, and I am pretty sure their cap space is still good. As long as that D stays intact, and Brady is qbing that offense, they will be solid.

I think NE did a helluva job taking advantage of the Denver blitz. They were able to throw over it quite well tonite, much better than just about any other team Denver has played this season.
Did Denver ever sellout blitz anyone like they did tonight though?? I know they bring it from different spots, but I've never seen them send 7 and 8 in multiple series, from multiple down/distances. Maybe I'm wrong, which is why I'k asking. Man, Lynch vs. Peyton...let the mind games begin man. I'm SOOO pumped up. Now I gotta keep my prayer vigil going for another 18 hours or so (through game time tomorrow!).

Well somehow Sagarin has them differing by under 1 point at a neutral site.Given emotion and depending on Indy's performance tomorrow, you are probably more correct that it will be 7.

My problem with him is that he has missed 2 open TDs tonight. That's simply HUGE. If he hit even one of them NE most likely wouldn't be in this kind of hole. Oh and he missed them BADLY. Look I am as a big of a Brady fan as you can find. UofM days and I would love nothing more than them to win, but he has to stop missing WRs in scoring situations. I know I know two great throws and a TD....let's see if he has anymore magic left.
This will get ignored, but when you combine those 2 TDs with the 2-TD swing his Champ Bailey pass provided, and Brady's got a lot of reasons to feel upset with how he played.
The Broncos were very aggressive on D. That aggression isn't just about sacks - they stop the quarterback from hitting receivers who appear to be open, and force interceptions. Brady threw a pick, and missed a couple passes. Those turned out to be costly. But he also hit a lot of plays he wouldn't have if they hadn't put that pressure on, like the 73 yard pass to Branch. Bottom line, Brady is not having a great game despite his gaudy statistics (341 yards and counting), nor is he having a terrible game despite passes he missed.

Here's hoping they pull out a miracle, but if they don't, I'll go back to what I said earlier - despite the 40 points scored so far, this has been a great defensive game.
The Broncos deserve the credit here. The D played very well tonight, rattled Brady kept pressure in his face all night long. The special teams picked up the TOs. Congrats to the Broncos...here's hoping they beat Indy/Pitt.

They don't have a chance.

The only Pats fan in here acting like a #### is Arnold S. All of the other ##### are the ones attacking the Pats and their fans.
Hey when the witch had water thrown on her they celebrated all over Oz. I didn't even care until I heard Brady last week crying about how his team didn't get any respect. Give me a break. That team gets more respect from the majority of the sports media than any other team in the NFL.

I haven't posted since half time and have not reviewed any of the posts since then, but I hope that the NE fans are losing with class with the same way they have won with class for the past 2 years. You guys have a great team and have had a great run that 99% of the teams in the NFL would love to have had.Denver beat a great team tonight, but I am really hoping that Pitt beats Indy Sunday.

Too Brett Farve-ish there. But, I guess there's no choice but to take a big risk.
They were down by 14, Brady had to go deep. Can't blame him, 3 minutes left you have to go for broke.

Oh yeah, they've brought the blirz a lot this season, and that pressure is part of why Denver has gotten this far.

All I heard all week was why the Pats would win this game because all their key players are healthy now.Decimated by injury does not apply to this game.

Teams favored by more than a TD in the playoffs are something like 66-11. They may have a chance, but not much of one. Oh, and if that line next week comes out at 4 or less, I'm betting $1,000 on the colts.

Lynch with the INT.

What happenned to Brady having the lowest career INT ratio in the playoffs? I thought he was God?
For a long time, I have really agreed that many of the Pats fans on this board were obnoxious, "whiny tools." Now, I'm convinced that the anti-Pats fans, the anti-Brady fans, are even more obnoxious, even bigger "whiny tools."

You decide which NFL teams you root for based on the fans of an internet message board?
When my team is out I root for whoever I feel can beat my arch-nemisis Peyton Manning. However, after reading some of these posts I don't feel bad rooting against teams that have whiny tool fans......
Peyton Manning is your arch-nemesis? That's pretty sweet.

1 Loss in his post season career dating back to UofM....I would take it.

That was one helluva playoff run the past few years.3 Super Bowl ChampionshipsAll those consecutive victories....and you don't give the Colts the satisfaction of overcoming your team.

:goodposting: They had so much respect, that even when they were getting WHIPPED UP ON by any good team they played, the sports media refused to call them down and out and kept harping on how they were going to get healthy and become the old Patriots.

Brady finally going to lose a playoff game?

He should have just tanked the end of the season so he could have kept his playoff streak in-tact.
You are such a joke. I cant believe you are on staff here.
 :goodposting:
Well, he had a high cap number, was coming off a poor year and would've been going into his 12th year in the league.Happy for him though, maybe my favorite player.

Really?I think they played about an even game with the Pats that they were VERY fortunate to get some breaks.

But congrats to the Broncos and their fans.

hey scoff all you want, bottom line, whether they beat Indy/Pitt or not, that's to be seen....but this one is sweet just because how much people barked on this messageboard, they just didn't give the Broncos a chance.

Congrats to Denver and their fans. I now know what it has been like to play the Pats the last couple of years. Give up the yardage but make the big play when it counted. Good Luck next week, and hopefully in Detroit.

here's your gift game you'll be losing by 20 next week in INDY. Like scheduled!!!You still suck.2 TD's from turnovers and a phantom Pass Interference. We out gained you nearly 3 to 1Give me a break. We gave you a chance but the way your O played tonight you might not be able to be WASH LOLYou won but if you think that performance will win a SB. LOL

Let it all out, I'm here for you.
Do you not even see the petty little person that you are.You dont even have a horse in this race. Your jealousy of Pats fans is just so sickening.

You have to consider the Pats a dynasty, they won 3 championships in 4 years (and this game isn't over). Add the fact in that this is the salary cap era, and that seals it.
I don't HAVE to do jack squat.... I'm entitled to an opinion as much as the next guy.
okay not you then, but everybody that gives a damn about the NFL have to
And you wonder why Pats fans have such a bad name.....
